Hallow's End due to Halloween being my favorite holiday and all the achievements, quests and rewards that can be obtained during it.
I've always been a big fan of the holidays in WoW. They add something...cozy to the game and I was therefore happy to get my 'What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been'-achievement in 2009. Holidays are my thing! The best holiday for me is 'Love is in the Air'. I can remember I couldn't get my hands on Peddlefeet for years (and of course you have it on all your alts...), that last Heart Candy wouldn't pop out of the bag either, the Lovely Black Dress was nowhere to be found, and where on earth was that Orc Shaman you have to shower with rose petals? When reading this you wouldn't say this is the holiday I like the most, since it was kind of frustrating! But when you log on during this festival, see all those hearts floating above the NPCs heads in Orgrimmar, have love tokens in your bag, when everyone is handing out Charming Bracelets to mend each other's broken heart, running around in Lovely Black Dresses, wearing perfume or cologne, holding Red or Ebon Roses in their hands, showering each other with Rose Petals, shooting off Love Rockets... Aaaaah....love truly is in the air during this holiday! It might just be, because I'm a girl, that I like the 'pink atmosphere' that comes with this holiday. But it's more than just a pink atmosphere: 'Love is in the Air is a celebration of love and friendship' (source: www.wowhead.com). And that is what WoW is also about. You play this game with friends, or with people who eventually become your friends. I've been in the same guild for almost 6 years now, and as you can imagine when you play a game together with the same people for 6 years: I've made quite some friends. Therefore it's just awesome to celebrate this kind of friendship and 'sort of' love by a holiday like this!
At first I was going to answer with Brewfest mainly because of how it reminds me of Octoberfest, but, After playing WoW for the better part of 6 years, I mus say, the best is Hallow's End. And why? Well, why not! Every year Blizz comes out with more and more for the event, like adding a Wickerman out in front of SW with an xp bonus, the fact that you get the added feeling of trick or treating by hitting the inns around the game, and kicking the ass of the horseman for one of the coolest mounts.
i wish we had halloween here in greece, it seems a very beautiful holiday... good luck to everyone :)
My favourite holiday is Hallows End because I just love everything about Hallowe'en. In-game it's portrayed so well, and the headless horseman just sets everything off. If only he would part with his mount! :P
The best WoW holiday is Brewfest! There is food, booze, random dwarven brawling, and an awesome, quick mini-game in the ram running. I think few of the warcraft holidays tie in to the lore as well as brewfest. The Dwarves are brewmeisters, it is only fitting for them to have a holiday. The lore and story behind all the other holidays always seems so forced, like it was shoe-horned into the game in order to coincide with a RL festival. Brewfest actually fits, and is always alot of fun. Plus the achievs for the holiday make sense, or are centered around the holiday festivities, and aren't just some random weird trekking around azeroth (Desert Rose)
I would have to choose Winter Veil. It is the only holiday that I find myself preparing for ahead of time. And after years of excitedly open gifts under the winter veil tree, I still have those gifts on all of my characters. It is the only holiday that I have keep everything from. Besides in a world that is turn by hatred and war, it is good to have at least a small time each year when you can feel safe and happy, cheer all around.
My favorite world event is Brewfest, simply because dwarves are my favorite race and I love dressing them up in liederhausen and getting shots at two awesome mounts. The holiday reminds me a lot of Oktoberfest from when I was living in Germany, wonder why.... XD
For me it is hallow's end , 1 i just love throwing stink bombs at the other faction's cities and also the Wands which can turn you into completely random things and the small package's you get by traveling the world to inns :D
For me its a toss up between Brewfest and Feast of Winter Veil. If I had to pick just one I would go with Feast of Winter Veil. When else can you get a pet that's totally new each year. Besides is the happiest time of the year for many being Christmas and all.
Brewfest, just because i like beer and drink alcohool =P
