As of this year my favourite festival has to be Brewfest. I have spent 4 years faithfully grinding Coren Direbrew for one of the mounts on my hunter ( especially the kodo, although I would have settled for a ram at a push) only to be disappointed every time. I had pretty much given up hope, so when the kodo finally dropped for me this year I was utterly speechless and I'm going to be using it as my ground mount for a long time to come. This is a great way for players to get an opposing faction mount ( can't actually think of any other way ) so top marks to this festival for giving us the opportunity and maybe other similar ways in the future please? ( renegade goblin trike vendor who'll sell to selected alliance characters ftw ). To be honest, it's difficult to pick a favourite festival - they all have good points and they're a welcome break from the usual stuff.
Hallow's End by far. We don't celebrate Halloween in my country...well at least not many people do.Having it in game is a nice alternative...but the most funny thing is, to mess up your raid with these transformation staffs...although this time i deleted the bat and whisp ones immediately...a silenced healer ist not funny...my raid leader said last year xD
Children's week, they are stuck in orgrimmar for for almost a year and only get to see the outside one week of the year...(poor orphans)Plus it's good training for those small orcs since azeroth is always at war somewhere they can't get ready soon enuff. And the ofc the pets u get after the quests are a couple of unique looking pets which is also awesome.
My favorite holiday? It'd easily have to be Hallow's End. I enjoy all of WoW's holidays but Hallow's End will forever hold some of my best memories and experiences in all of WoW. Stink Bomb quests turning into exciting Southshore raids, trick or treating every hour I could in an attempt to obtain A Mask For All Occasions (I ended up just one short last year, the female dwarf of all things, too! >.<), and grouping up with friends daily to take out the Headless Horseman in an attempt to claim his mount and other rewards (still haven't got it!). While the features I mentioned are no longer in the game, the spirit definitely still is. Each year I get just as excited as the early years of the holiday, even though I can no longer do some of the things I had the most fun with in the past. The holiday in itself allows the memories to reemerge. Many of the friends and guild mates I used to participate in the holiday with have since moved on from the game. When the holiday comes around it brings back a plethora of great memories of participating alongside these people and ultimately puts a smile on my face. Hallow's End is without a doubt, my favorite holiday! :D
Hallow's End ... Why ? ... Why not !
My favorite is the Lunar Festival! I've done all of them and gotten my proto drake, but I still enjoy the Lunar Fest because I love the Omen fight, it's such a fun experience trying to down the boss while the other faction is also trying to PvP with you!Unban
Brewfest. I just love the idea that it's a holiday pretty much devoted to the Dwarves.
Children's Week. It's just so fun escorting the little kids around and helping them see different parts of the world, and it's a good directed time to go out and check out different pats of Azeroth and Outland that you might not see or appreciate too often.
Brewfest FTW!Nothing better than you and your party popping a lil pony keg and taking on baddies while completely hammered! :]
