I think this best describes why I love Feast of Winter Veil:On the night before FeastWe slay a horrible beastKnown to the world as RagnarosThen we raise our glassesAll ten of the classesAnd have ourselves a great toastWe have a toast for the worldDespite its being unfurledFor it is truly what we love the mostFrom the home of IronforgeDown to the Searing GorgeAnd even sleepy ol’ KharanosAnd perhaps some brave heroShall save Metzen, so dear, oh!He’ll relieve us of all of our frightAnd we’ll all wake up tomorrowWith presents to followBut for now we must say “Goodnight”.
Hallow's End has always been my favorite WoW Holiday! Between getting different masks, trying different candies, and facing the ACTUAL Headless Horseman, this holiday is the most exciting! Too bad you cant fight Santa Clause during Christmas time. lol

Although this might seem like an easy question with an easy answer there is always something to consider about every holiday:Here's a list of quick facts. To Honor One's Elders1. This is one of the least changed achievements over the years2. It takes you around the world and through some older instances3. Takes place on neutral grounds - Alliance and Horde living in enforced Harmony :)Fool For Love1. Once had one of the hardest to reach achievment parts: Get different types of Candy Be Mine!2. One of THE coolest mounts: X-45 Heartbreaker3. The theme is quite "lovely" :)Noble Gardener1. Shake Your Bunny-Maker - for all those playboys out there2. Hard boiled eggs are best served after WALKING from Durotar to Un'Goro - or driving one there by chopper3. The pet Spring Rabbit's Foot is fun when put with others of its kindFor The Children1. Takes some quests to get a pet - was one of the few reasons to come back to Orgrimmar/Stormwind2. Once an orphan... (In a BG, kill 10 players with their orphan out) <-- Removed due to harsh nature of achievement3. It's nice to take care of an orphan for a week - and give it back afterwards :DThe Flame Warden1. The mini flame elemental going all Ragnaros on you was cool2. Visit the bonfires around the world3. Lord Ahune - And his coolest drink around Lord of Frost's Private LabelBrewmaster1. Finally a great way to be an alcoholic and proud of it2. The dailys are pretty simple - except the defend the kegs3. Two current mounts and one unobtainable from the beginning of this holidayHallowed Be Thy Name1. Hardest daily "Let the Fires Come!" - when under 3 people are around2. Most interesting boss Headless Horseman - needs to be killed three times, loses his head sometimes and drops it The Horseman's Horrific Helmet from time to time3. Also one of those get around to come around achievements Merrymaker1. Let's face it: Christmas will always be your favourite, even if you are a Jew or Muslim2. Free loot for everyone on the morning of the 25th including a cool robot with rockets that once shot invisble rogues in the arena :D3. I hate "find Dwarf insert random class here" achievements - THERE ARE NO DWARVES!So basically there's always something to like and something to dislike.I'm loving the Hallowed Be Thy Name most - mostly because of the cool name but also because of its theme. My first char was undead and this is still one of the few events revolving around Undercity. Also the whole time you have people running around with oversized masks or pumpkins.
Brewfest cause after I get Smashed Online Me and my Friends go get smashed offline...Hic!
Sit down one and all and let me tell you a tale of a young night elf.Once upon a time there was a newly starting night elf who was a little bit shy and didn't like to go too far from her home of Dolanaar . She stayed at home, only branching out to do tasks like The Emerald Dreamcatcher for the town's leader Tallonkai SwiftrootAs she started to branch out and explore new places a friend told her to visit the big capital city of Darnassus. At first this frightened the young night elf, and she was hesitant, but when she heard Fidelio the hippogryph master was seeking someone to take a recipe book to a friend of his in the capital city, she plucked up her courage and set of on her way. This mission just so happened to co-inside with a big holiday going on in the Alliance capital, Children's Week. Everyone she spoke to in Darnassus was asking if she's helped an orphan yet. At first she was confused. Why would she be helping orphans, she didn't know any. But then she saw one of her friends who'd gone to explore the world walking around with a small child in tow.Our young night elf called over to her friend and asked about the strange goings on. After being introduced to the small child, her friend explained that Children's week was a holiday in Stormwind where everyone helped out an orphan and took them on their travels to see distant far off places. Her friend informed her that it is still going on, and if she was quick she could make her way to stormwind and help out an orphan. Our night elf said good bye and started the walk back home to Dolanaar, thinking very hard about Children's week. When she got home, it was late so she decided to talk to her mum the next morning. When dawn broke, our hero went about her chores still thinking about all the help she could be if she got involved in children's week. At breakfast she sat down with her mother and told her all about it, and how she was thinking about going to Stormwind to help out an orphaned child. Her mother thought this was a great idea, since she thought it would be great for her daughter to see the wonders of the world. The young night elves mother took her to the local inn, and told her of a special magic. A Hearthstone where you keep it forever in your backpack, and if you ever get homesick you can use it and it'll transport you straight back. This calmed our young night elf, as even though she'd been excited to go and help, she'd been extremely nervous about leaving home.So she packed up her bag and said good bye to her friends and family and took the first hippogryph available to the port Rut'theran Village. From here she asked about and found where to take the boat to Stormwind. The journey was rough but our night elf was excited to be going somewhere different, and since she'd never seen the ocean before, she was very keen to talk to all the sailors aboard and learn everything there was to know.Eventually she arrived in Stormwind, and was relieved to find the holiday was still on. She asked around and was directed to Cathedral Square, where she met Orphan Matron Nightingale who assigned her her very own orphan to look after for the week. She was introduced to a lovely feisty boy of about 6 years old called Randis, who was very excited to be off and see the world. He kept telling our night elf about all the great things he was going to do when he was older. Randis gave our night elf a check list of all the things he wanted to do, and top of the list was take a tour of the raging chasm. This seemed like a big request to our night elf, but when she looked further down the list, she saw that almost all the requests were similar and realised that this would be an adventure for her as well as for Randis. She thought she'd start out by doing something easy and took Randis to the Blue Recluse to buy him an ice cream. There was a big queue here, and she saw that almost all the customers were people with orphans. When they got their ice creams (Randis a double chocolate, and our night elf a raspberry swirl) they set of for Westfall to go on the chopper tour of the chasm. The walk was long, but they has fun seeing all the animals, and watching all the hero's going around on no doubt important business. About half way there, just after they'd crossed the boarder into Westfall, they caught up to a band of other people escorting orphans to the tour starting point. They decided to join up with this group because Randis had seen one of his best friends at the front of the party and run off to say hello. This gave our night elf some time to socialize with other people, and found herself talking to everyone, from night elves to small gnomes who she was embarrassed to say she'd taken for children at first. The journey passed quickly and pleasantly, with everyone just eating as they walked as everyone was excited to arrive.Soon they got to Sentinel Hill, and made their way to the departure point. Our night elf was nervous at first, because the bikes they'd be riding on looked very big and quite scary, but the gnome she'd met earlier assured her they were quite safe, and even said that her grandparents used to build them. At this Randis turned to look at the gnome with a look of awe, and proceeded to ask lots of questions about how they work.Very shortly it was their turn to go, and off they went on their chopper whizzing around and looking at everything. When they got to the chasm Randis exclamed "I thought the Park fell into a big hole, but this one's way bigger and it has a whirlwind!" As they made their way back to the start to give their bikes back they were able to really appreciate all the scenery that was so different to anything they'd seen before. On the walk back to Stormwind, they were both quite tired from the day's adventuring, so they mostly walked in a companionable silence. With a promise to be back the next day to do more on the list, our night elf said goodnight to Randis and proceeded to wander around Stormwind. She saw the trade district and watched for a while everyone frantically buying and selling at the auction house, and went to the dwarven district and listened to the heavy crashing of the hammers on the mighty anvil. She even plucked up the courage to have a peek in the magic Quarter, and was gratified to see she wasn't turned into a frog, like the characters her mother used to tell her about in books. She eventually found herself in the new park, and was comforted to be around real nature again, more similar to that of her homeland. She settled down in a corner, under the canopy of a great tree and proceeded to fall asleep. The next morning, feeling awake and refreshed, she hurried to the Cathedral to pick up Randis for a day packed full of adventure. They set off, and decided to start with a visit to Ironforge, Randis has heard of King Magni Bronzebeard being in cased in diamond, and wanted to see for himself. He was also very excited to try the deep run tram, as the orphan's who'd been on it said it was the best ride ever. They set off toward the Dwarven district, and got directions to the Deep run tram.As they approached the tunnel, our night elf saw the gnome from the day before and called to catch up with them. It turns out that the gnome was taking her orphan home with her to meet her family and to show her all around the recently reclaimed gnomeregan. This gave our night elf an idea, but she kept it a secrete for the moment. As they were all traveling on the deep run tram, they decided to go as a group, and so into the tunnel they went.Once inside the moved to the middle platform so they could catch whichever tram came first and had a sit down to wait. It didn't take long before they could hear a rumbling from the closest tunnel, and they got up to look at the tram shooting out of the opening and sliding to a stop exactly at the platforms. They hopped onto the middle carriage and were soon on their way. For the orphans and our night elf the journey was over too quickly, they could see all this scenery flashing before their eyes and just couldn't believe how fast they were traveling. As they arrived they said good bye to their companions, and followed the gnomes directions to the living statue of King Magni. Our night elf was shocked at the noise and bustle they encountered at the great forge, and together she and Randis marveled at all the things being made. As they got further underground, and closer to the statue, everything got quieter, and a still hush fell over them.King Magni was a sight to see, both night elf and orphan wondering to themselves what kind of magic could cause someone to become entombed like this.As they left the silence persisted as if they couldn't quite bring themselves to talk about what they'd just witnessed. They went to an inn for lunch and slowly their voices started to return. They discussed Ironforge and all they'd seen, but couldn't quite bring themselves to talk about King Magni. After lunch our night elf told Randis of her plan. They were going to take the Hearthstone to her village of Dolanaar to meet her friends and family, then take a hippogryph to Darnassus to see Malfurion Stormrage, because seeing him was on Randis' list. From their they would take the boat back to Stormwind so Randis could go back for the night. They set off, and our night elf told Randis to cling on tightly so the Hearthstone would take both of them. When they opened their eyes they were at the inn in Dolanaar. Our night elf sighed slightly too herself, it's good to be home. They made their way outside, after saying hello to the patrons at the bar, and walked quickly to our night elves home. Her mother came out just as they were approaching and exclaimed, she'd missed her daughter. When our night elf had explained what was going on and caught up with her mother, she took Randis on a tour of the town, stopping at the shops her friends worked at, and finishing at the hippogryph post. Her mother came up to them just as they were going and said that Randis was a lovely little boy and was welcome in Dolanaar any time. The hippogryph ride was exciting, with our night elf pointing out all the places she'd been to as a child, and all the trees and plants she knew. Randis was thrilled, he'd been on a gryphon before, but never a hippogryph, and he was thoroughly enjoying himself. When they got to Darnassus, our night elf asked around and found out where Malfurion was, and guided Randis around the warriors terrace and showed him the huge tree in which the druids went. Then they made their way over to the temple of the moon to see Malfurion.Randis was enchanted with Malfurion, and laughed and commented "Our orphan matron says druids can turn in to birds, cats, and bears, but you look like a combination of all of them!". When Randis had stopped staring at Malfurion, they made their way to the temple gardens to the portal to Rut'theran Village, where they made their way onto a boat heading to Stormwind.Randis was so excited by this, as he'd watched the boats going in and out of the harbor, but never thought he'd get to be on one. He spent the whole journey with his head and shoulders hanging off the side of the boat, and once or twice our night elf had to catch him before he went overboard. When they arrived back in Stormwind, they saw that preparations were being made to take down all the decorations for children's week, so before our night elf dropped Randis back, she took him to a toy shop and bought him a kite and a foam sword, so that he could play with them and remember her.As they approached the Cathedral, they slowed down, and started reminiscing about all the great times they'd had. And with a promise to come back and take Randis out again next children's week our night elf dropped him off with the matron. As she turned away, Randis gave a shout, and she turned back, he produced for her a small turtle, and told her that it was Speedy, and that he wanted her to have him, to remember him by.Our night elf was touched, and a special bond was formed. She vowed that every year she would go back and see Randis, and maybe next year she would find some other orphans to help as well.....I hope you enjoyed my story, and can see just why I love Children's week!
Hallow's end is by fair my favorite time of year, from the quests to get candy, pets, too the waiting for horde to come to stormwind to try to put out the fire, to raiding to them to put out there fire..Then the epic quest each year to get the headless horsemans mount, my last chance for it tonight until next year.Eaglegoboom
My favorite Holiday is easily Hallows Eve. The easy XP, the chance at awesome gear via Headless Horseman, the revamped system they gave it this year... knocks out Brewfest by a wide margin. Plus, going and openly defying the opposing faction is great. It's like spitting in their faces. But not just water... it's like killing their favorite kitten and drinking the blood only to throw up the blood because it tastes awful and then keeping that in a jar with some mayonaise then at the end of the summer... peeling the skin from the top of the jar and throwing that in the opposing factions face whilst making a spitting noise. Because let's face it that stuff is rank and I might get sick or something from it if I actually put it in my mouth. Yeah... it's just like that. So Hallows Eve rules! Or smegma... spitting smegma in their faces. It's like that too.
My favorite WoW holiday is Children's Week. I love helping out the orphans and giving them a day to remember or with like with Dornaa, help shape their future. It gives a great sense of accomplishment from helping guide what may be the future leaders of the world. Plus pets; I love pets. :D
Hallow's End is my favorite. Its always a pleasure to see the Headless Horseman again! :)
My favorite WoW Holiday is Children's Week! Not only do I LOVE taking the children around to see the world but they give me amazing little mini pets to add to my collection. My favorite orphan to take around is the little blood-elf girl, Salandria. I never have problems taking her around to all her favorite places, Zangarmarsh to see the Sporeggar, the Throne of Elements, the Stair of Destiny and down to the Walk of Elders to see the Elite Tauren Chieftains. But my favorite one is taking her to see the Bronze dragons in Caverns of Time. The story that shows is very interesting and I can't wait to see what part she plays in the future of our community!Thank you to all the orphans for sharing your pets and your favorite places with me! As always, I cannot hardly wait until May to take you all around the world again!~Alena NightstarBrigitte ~ Holy Priest ~ Crushridge
Hallow's End is my favorite holiday because it is the most interactive holiday as far as I'm concerned. (:
What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?I would say Hallow's End. I really enjoy the boss fight, though it sadly is too short to enjoy all the mechanics. All the extra goodies from it are fun also, from treats to the brooms to masks, it seems to fully encompass the holiday.
I'd have to say brewfest. It's such a cosy world event with all that beer (just kidding) and the festive approach to life. And also because I like to ride the rams - that drove me almost insane before i figured out how to do it. So much fun!
I personally love Hallow's End. I'm hoping to finally get "the Hallowed" title this year and I currently only have a few hours left. Hallow's End is my favorite because nothing is more awesome than the Headless Horseman flying around razing buildings to the ground. I also love it because Halloween is my birthday! Unfortunately, no Horseman's Reins in my gifts this year :(
