My favorite holiday has always been children's week. It's something out of the norm for a video game, especially a game like WoW. I'm not into role play in WoW but if I was it seems like it could be the best kind of setting you could ask for. I know some people that really get into it, showing off their armor ect. to their orphan, and doing actual activities. My favorite part about it, by far, has to be that because I play WoW with my kids, when Children's Week comes around they can pretend they are taking care of another kid. It seems a bit silly, but they are kids afterall.
My favorite wow holiday would have to be Feast of Winter Veil, because I have the coolest and most thought out response. And my family are christmas tree making hobbiest. We make so many christmas trees and we all love wow. And mistlefeet are cool. I mean mistletoe's.
I like Winter Veil the best. The holiday it was made after (Christmas) is the best time of the year. My birthday is on that holiday for one. Secondly, it's too cold for those darn bugs (most of them anyway)! Third, I can make snowmen and other snow-things. And of course, it seems to bring out the holiday spirit in everyone. :) Most of these are true in WoW (exceptions being the bugs and the snowman-building...).
Probably Hallow's End. I think I just have more memories about it in general, compared to the other holidays. Yes, yes, the rage inducing moment after I open the pumpkin head that holds no mount sucks, but the holiday itself is a lot of fun.
By far it would have to be the Lunar Festival. Due to reasons both in game and out. I was in Hong Kong one year for the Lunar Festival there and it was one of the most brilliant celebrations I've ever seen. Literally the entire city gets the holiday off and it's just got such a festive feel and is an amazing event to be a part of. Likewise in game, I've had some amazing times with friend in game during Lunar Festival, at least nothing to me is much more fun than getting drunk in vent mounting up with a friend on my rocket and trying to track down all of the elders. Took way longer than it should have but was by far one of the most fun nights I've had in WoW outside of raiding.
Brewfesht for the winsh .... drunken brawlsh, chug and tossh beer steinsh, what ish there not to love .. hic
Brewfest all the way. Who doesn't like riding a ram totally smashed to try and deliver kegs of beer?
Gonna have to say my favorite holiday event is Valentines' Day. I just love the event boss its really cool. Also want that Love Rocket mount desperately.
Mid-Summer Fire Festival wins my heart. The warm colors all over the towns and the actual festivities draw me in like honest carnie-folk. Plus the kindling of fights between the Horde and Alliance for the fires and the battle against Lord Ahune to stave off an endless winter rounds out this event amazingly. Cant wait for next year's.
Brewfest is my favorite holiday, because it starts on my birthday every year! :D
I've gotta say, Hallow's End, Halloween was my favorite holiday anyway, but now I get to drop stink bombs on Stormwind! how much better can it get? lol
I would have to say that my favorite wow holiday is......Pilgrims bounty (c'mon a achieve named the turkinator? awesome, and what could be better than dressing up as pilgrims, I kind of wish there was a PVP torny where everyone was either dressed in thier "holiday" finest, meaning you could wear any holidays outfit and then pvp in it....
My favorite WoW holiday is hallow's end because I really like going to all the cities and taking the loot out of the candy bowl. It's exciting to find out what I get, sometimes it's a rare item that just looks cool. Plus, I like it how there's a specific quest for hallow's end which gave me a spooky crate pet this year! :D
