What is your favorite holiday in World of Warcraft and why?I have three favorite events in World of Warcraft, every year I log on to multiple toons to chase down my favorite items:1.) Brewfest - Probably the most fun holiday of them all! There's drinking, throwing mugs at evil dwarves, drinking, catching wolpertingers, drinking, zapping pink elephants, drinking (while falling from great heights), the chance to walk away w/ a shiny new Kodo and of course more drinking (while dancing)! Plus nothing makes a long raid more bearable than dropping your very own Pony Keg, shedding all your shiny epics and /dance-ing the night away!2.) Hallow's End - I enjoy all of the decorations that spring up this time of year. Of all the holidays, this seems to be the one where all of Azaeroth getz involved. Every inn has a pumpkin, there are ghosts and jack-o-lanterns everywhere and you've got the headless horseman causing mayhem in all the starter zones. I smile every time he blasts that maniacal laugh throughout chat. The one item that still eludes me to this day is that uber helm of his. One day, the ultimate clicky-effect shall be mine...3.) Children's Week - I enjoy this holiday because it forces me out of the same ol' zones I spend all of my time in. It makes us go off our beaten path into areas we may not have visited for months! Really, when was the last time you stopped by the dam in Loch Modan? Or even went to Exodar? Sometimes I get all caught up in the raiding, BGs, dailys that I forget that there's an entire virtual world out there with some spectacular scenery. Every now and then it's good to get out and re-experience all the hard work that's been put into making this one of the greatest video games ever. As icing on the cake, you can pickup a pet called Mr. Wiggles. How flippin cool is that? =)
Hollow's End because I want the horseman's mount. I've been trying for years, no luck yet.
Hallow's End. Every year for Halloween I still love to get dressed up and throw parties or go downtown. When I was younger I was never more excited than the night I would get to don a costume and go door to door for candy; and with Hallow's End, Azeroth gets in on the fun too. Hallow's End perfectly captures the mood and fun of my favorite real life holiday with its costumes and Trick-or-Treating and plenty of candy, which is why its my favorite WoW holiday.
My favorite holiday? Winter's Veil. Why? Hmmm!Winter's Veil is a time of joy, happiness, and has a generally nice and happy atmosphere. It also overlaps with the New Year, and call me what you will, I love spending it on WoW! Just having a lot of people to talk to, and to wish a happy new year, makes me happy! I also do something special every Winter's Veil, which is to purchase affordable but uncommon items from the AH and gift them to random people, in the spirit of a joyous and wonderful new year. It is truly a time when I feel generous and kind, and this is why I love Winter's Veil - it brings along all of these great feelings! It also hosts several fond memories of mine. Just seeing the tree set up and the Orc santa makes me glad I play WoW.
Hallow's End / HalloweenThis has always been one of my favorite holiday's in and out of video games. It's not about the candy either, though as a kid that was nice. Halloween is about roleplaying, taking on a life that is otherwise outside of our grasp. Many face their deepest fears and turn them into things of jubilation, it lasts for only a day but it is something to be cherished. When a person can look at the inevitability of death and smile there is little left that can hinder them in life.Within WoW this is a holiday with a fun villain (the Headless Horeseman), fun quests, masks, and some of the best pets that are available.
brewfest, I has a mini boss boe's and 2 mounts just slightly better than hallow's end MOAR HOLIDAY MOUNTS PLZ
Hallow's End, most definitely.I've been playing World of Warcraft since it came out when I was in 5th grade, Warcraft III since 3rd, and I can say that through all of the experiences I've gone through I always find Hallow's End the most fun seasonal event. Mostly because of the Headless Horseman and the chance at his mount, which I've never won, but also because it brings out the silliness in the game that Blizzard's so successful at just naturally integrating into the game without messing up the theme of things. One day I'm slaying the Demon Hunter of Outlands or charging the Lich King's army of dead. The next I'm throwing up in the street from children's candy and screaming "SOME1 TURN ME IN 2 A BAT PLZZZZ".
My favorite wow holiday is Midsummer festival. I love the ribbon dance thing for the 10% extra exp and all the money you make from stealing enemy fires. I also like killing horde when they come to steal our fires :D Oh and it also happens on my birthday, so that automatically makes it the best!
i've just always loved Hallow's End, what it stands for, and the fun of trick or treating around Azeroth. its just so much fun.
Im a brewer in real life and in brewfest i get to be a brewmaster
