Midsummer, hands down. I love the atmosphere of summer and the awesome leveling buffs to be had. It also gives my favorite tabard in the game, the.Tabard of Summer Flames. Not to mention it gives me a reason to whip out my Frostscythe enchanted with Deathfrost...:P Finally, any excuse to encourage world PVP going around desecrating the other factions bonfires is always a plus.
I started playing wow at the end of BC/start of WotLK. I got into a great guild and made some awesome friends. Near Christmas time I had some family problems and had to scramble to find a place to live. With all of my friends away at college, family no were to be found, and no money at all, Christmas was looking sad and lonely. Then I get a txt from one of my best friends on wow at 9am christmas day to get on. I get on and 6 of friends I had spent countless hours with on vent BSing and having a blast for months had gifts waiting for me in my mailbox. And not just gifts, rare pets, gold, and a freaking mechano-hog! Xmas is my fav. It reminds me why I play this game. For the friends I've made all over the world who love to have fun and talk in vent/Skype untill the sun comes up!
Hallow's End and Brew fest are very close but brewfest wins Beer always wins
Favorite holiday is Talk Like a Pirate Day. September 19th. It's own 1 day holiday! Arr!
I love Winter Veil , cause it's so chilly :)
Hallow's End; I love the Horseman's over-the-top freestylin' rhymes, and the rush to put the fires out (even thougyh usually the folks in Brill are utterly pants-on-head). I love the treats, and the inexplicable ability i have in bat costume (or tiny red demon costume, or dredge-ling form) to mount my partner's touring rocket. And even though Sylvanas's Cataclysm characterization makes me want to SET FIRES LIKE THE HORSEMAN (could it be any more obvious the second string crew is hard at work here?), it still makes me extremely happy to see her do the speech at the Wicker man. ESPECIALLY this year, with the added meaning and significance. Now if only one of the damn smashed pumpkins would give me a broom!
well i would have to say that my favourite holiday would be the feast of winter veil. this is because when i spend alot of time with my family and catch up and have alot of fun with them. this doesnt happen every year, only every couple, but even so its still the best. Family means alot to me. now that the real life side is clear, i also like it in wow because for one its a somewhat more relaxing playing environment while its up, maybe its just me, but i notice it. another reason is because its when my friends have time to play (work/school holidays). have a good hallow's end everyone!
Darkmoon Fair. Tonk Battles.
Summer of Flame. I love sneaking into the Alliance cities on my rogue and stealing their fire! For the Horde!
Brewfest! Who doesn't love whipping a ram in a barrel race, and having to drink to see imaginary creatures?
For me it would have to be Noblegarden. Reminds me of when I was a little lad, looking through the yard for eggs. One of the best parts, that it captures, is the race to gather the eggs! And come on, who doesn't love chocolate? ;)
As I am very new to wow, only seen a handful of the holidays, but of those I've seen hallow's end definitely wins as gives the most incentive to get out of hub cities and see the world
I think that I prefer the Midsummer Fire Festival the most. I love that for just flying around Azeroth you can make some serious gold! What makes the holiday the most special for me though, is the item Brazier of Dancing Flames. I found it funny that even though my 25 man raiding guild could kill some insanely epic bosses, and were all on vent mind you, we were ultimately defeated my the screen cap boss! No matter how many times we tried, even having someone count down, we could not manage to get everyone to dance in the fire form. Unfortunately I know reading this is not as funny to you as I recall it, but every time i /dance with my Brazier of Dancing Flames, I always manage to get a little chuckle... :-)
The Lunar Festival. It was the first holiday I got to experience when I first started playing 5 years ago. I was only level 20 or so, but the holiday felt epic. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
