I love pirate day =D
My favorite holiday in WoW is definitely Hallows End. I have fond memories of running all the way to Scarlet Monastery to spam /1 to find a group so we could run HH 5 times. Now we have the ability to run the dungeon remotely (and can FLY to SM) but the flavor is still there. Running around to candy buckets still makes me smile :)
Brewfest for it was my first in-game holiday, so it has certain amount of nostalgia. Love the daylies, none other has keg throwing and legalized bar-fights. Only holiday when it is ok to be drunk in-game and in RL in the same time :) (need to check that off my bucket list next year). Cause of more than few laughs in raidsAll in all for me only holiday that has that certain something in the air, it just feels festive and happy!
It has to be Hallow's End. The Headless Horseman is one of the coolest characters not just in WoW, but everywhere. That, and revisiting places I had not seen in ages to get treats... and of course the thrill of opening a bag hoping for the awesome mount to drop.
My favorite holiday is Brewfest, not long after I started playing Brewfest became available for the first time. It was so much fun and it was really one of the factors that got me hooked onto this game. Doing the ram runs and getting the stamp for the regular ram that not a lot of people have these days was really cool. Now, almost 4 years later, I'm still playing and brewfest is still awesome.
Brewfest. I mean... it's freakin BEER, man! :D
Hollow's End for me. The atmosphere and sounds are great. Love the inclusion of the Headless Horseman in the game. Running around in the different masks and getting to revisit all the inns from my leveling days is fun.
My Favorite WoW holiday is Hallow's End, I enjoy trick and treating at the pumpkins and getting to run around with different costumes on. I really enjoyed the new Murloc mask this year
Love WOWs Holiday events & Hallows End has always been my Fav. mostly cause I'm a halloween baby but WOW did a great job with the events with the wands, helms to toss at others, & the chance at the HH reins.
So you want to know what my favorite holiday is, do ya? Well, sit back for a spell and I'll tell you about this holiday that we like to call: Brewfest.I was but a wee paladin dwarf, barely able to lift my own two-handed sword. Standing next to the the auction house in Ironforge, speaking with a gnome fellow when all of the sudden some drunken bloke on a ram almost trampled us! He knocked me right out of my boots and I hit the ground with an ungraceful thud. I was putting back on my left boot when the gnome explained to me that he hated the festival going on presently and wished that he was able to get his earplug-one-thousand device to work. Being that I was new to the area, I asked him what festival he was talking about and he said with a bit of exasperation in his voice: Brewfest. I knew I had to be a part of this festival since whatever it was about, it had wild, speeding rams involved. The last thing I said the the gnome as I ran toward the gates was 'SIGN ME UP!'The festival was held in a clearing right outside of Ironforge and I remember walking up to hear High Tinker Mekkatorque giving an invigorating speech as the crowd cheered him on. It was an awesome sight to behold! That is, until the dark irons brought their digger machines into the midst of our keg party. Unfortunately for them, the crowd was having none of their party crashing. I even joined in the great dark iron push-back. I stood proudly on a large barrel keg and threw empty beer steins at any dark iron that came close to my booze! It worked great until I fell off because I was too drunk to keep my balance. I don't remember much after that but when I woke up, there were no dark irons at the party, so I am convinced our efforts were not in vain! When I had gotten my feet under me solidly again, I decided I had to find the place that had the type of rams that the guy was riding when he had ran me over earlier. It wasn't hard to find, I followed my nose to the ram holding area that smelled like ram excrement and oddly, apples. The ram racing itself was difficult for me. I didn't quiet fit in my saddle and my legs didn't quiet reach the stirrups. Despite that, the ram trainers threw me on the back of one of their beasts and sent me on my way as fast as the ram could run delivering beer kegs and running through Ironforge screaming about which brewery was the best. Of course the best brewery was whichever had given me free drinks that day! I became one of the best ram handlers during my few days spurring through my tasks yet when it came time to secure a beast of my very own, I was sadly told that I was too young to be able to care for a famous Brewfest Ram and to try to come back when I was a bit older and a bit stouter and could hold my beer a bit better. When the festival was over, the oompa music and drunken laughter never left my mind. I decided that my goal in life would be to live for Brewfest. I would spend my time being a hero of the brew by learning to ride faster and with more skill. Throughout the year, I would spent my time, blood, sweat and tears leveling my skills so I would be ready for the festivities the next September. I became a strong warrior and skilled at riding many beasts of burden and this year when September came to pass once more? Well, let's just say I now have my own Brewfest Ram and he and I are going to go run around trampling gnomes in Ironforge.I love this holiday.Signed,Just call me 'The Brewmaster'
I'm a huge fan of Winters Veil. It's the only time the Grinch can come around!
Winter Veil because it enhances the RL winter holidays more than any other holiday/in-game holiday combo.
I have two favorites (though I adore most holidays)- Love is in the Air and Hallow's End. They both have holiday bosses that drop sweet loot and awesome mounts and companions. I love the awarded titles and the themes of these holidays the best as well!
