i like that the trolls are making their comeback, although its a bit late in my own eyes.
4.1 was introducing some big troll changes with all of them beside darkspear joininh up in 1 huge empire agian.
but after 4.1 we heard nothing about them afterwards, that really dissapointed me.
but with the Q&A them mentioning the troll story is finally getting the progress it deserved after 4.1 , all i can do now is hope they make it worth the wait.

I like that there is no 'Big Bad' in this expansion. It worked well in Wrath, but it has been poorly executed in every other expansion.
Eh, I think Illidan's was alright - they made the mistake of putting an even bigger villain in and releasing Illidan too early though.

Think you mean in Vanilla there LB heh; Wrath had the King all through out it.

I think he means the "having a Big Bad" worked well in Wrath.

Ah right...oops, my reading failed. Still, Vanilla didn't have a final big bad of the expansion; it did have multiple ones.

2.4 cheapening the Black Temple is indisputable. But I think that given that the expansion was called the 'Burning Crusade', Kil'jaeden was a good addition. Weird that it was meant to be about the 'Lord of Outland, Illidan Stormrage'. It should have been called 'Shadows of Outland' or whatever.
That aside, I think villains were never badly handled. Illidan keeping himself to the Black Temple felt perfect with his insanity. The Lich King apearing a lot felt in line with his arrogance. And not only everything in this expansion is an extention of Deathwing's will (the Cataclysm truly made 'mortals tremble and despair for doom ha come to the world', Deathwing hanged as a ghost above every crisis we saw) but he'll soon personally wreck the world until server firsts start rolling. What better representation for a being called the Destroyer?
That is true.

I'm sorta hoping for a faction specific raid where we have to kill some faction specific guys along the way. Sorta like the Battle for Undercity - Give us a form of raid where Horde players have to go in and kill actual alliance generals or similar, and vice versa. There's no need to make faction vs faction PvP. It could just as well be PvE, just like how the Gunship battle in ICC worked.
So the Alliance can have some fun with Garrosh, and the Horde... Hell, I don't know. Don't have any major Alliance character that I really dislike as such.
It will probably be Sylvanas though. She's kinda being a $%^&* right now, from both factions point of view. The Alliance probably doesn't take too well to her right now, and the Horde most likely wont care too much for her either at this point. So really... regardless of whether or not we will have faction-specific raids, our Lich Queen will likely be a major antagonist somewhere in the near future.

I believe there may be some old gods returning considering they have been a problem since vanilla.

Since we didn't deal with N'Zoth, that's a given, but probably not in MoP.
Well to be honest. Big ol' grand king Varian declared war on the Horde back in Wrath due to the actions of a group of independent acting Forsaken.
And that call to war was answered at the Broken Front....and has been going on all through out Kalimdor in Cata.

Yeah, exactly. Varian called for war and the Horde answered. The Broken Front was but one skirmish.
Right; so seeing the war escalating again in Mists, with both factions as the 'bad guy' invading the home of the Pandarens, is something semi-new for the game.

I don't know, are you?
Since as far as Varian knew, after losing Bolvar to the RAS assault at the Wrathgate, then seeing the experiments happening to humans in the bowels of the Undercity, when he declared war on the Horde, it was because he thought it was the entire Horde responsible for the Blight.
Even on the Horde side, the fact that RAS was pulling a mutiny should have been a little obvious, but I guess Sylvanas was just holding an Idiot Ball when she trusted a Dreadlord she publicly humiliated and shamed in front of other Dreadlords and tried to turn him into a good little slave. And Thrall and the rest had too much trust of the Undead; Sylvanas ordered the creation of the Blight after all(as seen in Rise of the Lich King).

When MoP is just released i foresee my main antagonist will be my employer who does not appreciate me calling in sick while clearly being able to hear "I can´t do that yet" "Need more rage!" in the background while im calling in sick with a poorly feigned cough.
Another important enemy for the first two weeks of MoP will be my beloved wife, who will turn from happy and accepting to something with the mood of lady Deathwisper. I will need to ding 90 before i can tackle that.
