as for you atik, dude, if you dont like the race, dont create one, simple as that, this expansion is NOT centered arround them. Heck, did you saw WOTLK centered arround the native races of northrend? sure the Vrykuls were in several places, but they werent the center of everything, just as the worgens and goblins weren't the center of everything on cata.
Several things I noticed here. First of all, none of the new races in WotLK were playable. Second, Cataclysm didn't revolve around the worgen and goblins because the expansion wasn't about them, it was about Deathwing devastating Azeroth as we knew it. Pandaren are a playable race and we're going to a continent named after them, much more significant than any new races introduced in the other expansions.
when everything has been said and done, pandarens are just one race, just that, the main badguy isn't a pandaren, the main protagonist wont be a pandaren, and while the story takes place in their continent, it doesn't mean it will revolve exclusively around them, considering that pandaria is inhabited by multiple sentient species, in the same way as norhtrend was inhabited by several sentient species, not just scourge.
Of course there will be plenty of new races introduced in MoP, but again, they won't be playable. Judging by the fact that the expansion itself is named after them (Pandaren), the new playable race is them, and the new main continent is also named after them, how the fudge are they not going to be the focal point of the majority of this expansion?

I would also like to mention that when Draenei and Belfs were introduced, they were everywhere in every zone.

they make you have 7 talent points leaving 21 possibilitys
As opposed to literally exactly one possibility per spec we have in most classes, that's 21x more choice!
I know people who will quit for it.
This game will be much better without them.
(stupid mainly cause no one will play soley for it
No one will play solely for Darkshore. Let's remove this location, it's stupid.

How do you get that to 21 possibilities? I get it to well over 2000. 3 possibilities on tier one, and for each you have another three on tier two, bringing it up to nine, and another three posibilities for each of those at tier three, for a total of 27, and so on.
Math aside, it seems the concept is more like "Choose this for PvP, or one of the others for PvE". Each tier tends to do something similar, survivability, CC, health recovery, etc. You choose the way you want to achieve this.
I'm more concerned with leveling. Talents at every level made it feel like every level did something tangible. Even a talent at every other level meant for most levels it was either a new talent point or a new ability. Getting to levels where there was
nothing
really irked me. It didn't feel like leveling up at all.

You mean Sashimi. Sushi just refers to the rice that is being used. Sashimi means it just the fish without rice.

I think as players we can see that Blizzard is trying to cater to the kids. "Mommy I want a Panda character. "
Maybe there will be more sales? If Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles wasn't taken I bet we might see a turtle race next? Martial arts seems to be selling....
I just see the expansion as another reason to turn weeks and more of work into crystals or gold in favor of new greens. Anyone else getting tired of doing that? Makes it rough if you have more than a few characters.
Oh well...
/sigh Really, read back through the posts please.

Maybe he did and just wasn't convinced by what you've written. Long shot, I agree, but you certainly haven't convinced me.

Alright, maybe I shouldn't have quoted the whole post; but the idea that Pandarens = kids, is still a really dumb one.

The ONLY thing I don't like about the expension is the "neutral race".
I think if Panda would have been something like.. Ally only and Horde would have get something else, it would have been better.
Otherwise, alot of people hate for no good reason. The expension look really promising.
So many people talk about stuff they don't know.
Just ignore the troll.

@ Adamsm: Fair enough. Well, hopefully Blizz will show us some layers here (and I do hope we get more than hippie philosophy on how terribly bad war is; I happen to agree, I just don't want it in the way of my fun). But still, when you see 'Panda people doing martial arts', I think most people's initial reaction is closer to "Sounds like the kids will love it" than "Sounds very philosophical."

Eh, to those people, they just show when they joined the Warcraft community lol; since Pandarens have been around since Warcraft 3 heh. As for where it's going to go from there; we'll have to see, but even then, Tauren and Draenei have been saying the same thing....well the Tauren were till Cata and the massacre in the Southern Barrens but the Draenei are still trying to make everyone understand there is a greater evil out there then the other faction.

Try reading some of the original TMNT comics. They weren't really intended for kids. Young adults, maybe, but not children.
Although Adamsm just said it, I'll point it out again: Every person making the response that Pandaren are so childish just makes me roll my eyes and laugh. WoW has had talking cows since day 1; the argument is invalid. :P

Considering how many people make that mistake, the argument is clearly not invalid. The idea is to draw people in, people who haven't been here before. It's a perfectly sensible commercial decision. If nobody at Activision/Blizzard has had this thought and brought it up at a meeting, it's a miracle they've gotten to where they are.
Haris Pilton has been in the game since BC. If they made an expansion featuring her in a prominent spot, with a lot of new cosmetic options for characters, wouldn't you have the least thought as to what Blizzard was trying to do with that?
Talking cows, by the way, is a pretty poor example of kid friendliness. Minotauros ate people in his labyrinth, after all.

let TVTropes
do the explaining.
