To say both factions are equally good or bad is just not true.
says
YOU
the rest of the world says otherwise.
my dad says elvis never died, the rest of the world said he did.
the worst type of blind man is the one that actually REFUSES to see.

/ignoring sold's post.....
ejem, anyways, another thing not yet discussed is that while BOTH factions have EQUAL BLAME for the war not being over, there's also another key factor.
Outside forces have done their best to preventing from reaching a compromise.
TWICE in the past, both the horde and the alliance have managed to if not forgive old grudges, at least co-exist peacefully, and its always outside forces who meddle to make them fight again.
Such as the burning legion on Cycle of Hatred, the twillight hammer on the theramoore summit, and again the hammer on the ashenvale druid meeting.
Rhonin tried a summit in dalaran, and while jaina and thrall were more than willing to cooperate, varian and garrosh (being as usual) screwed everything up.
Tirion tried one last attempt on the argent tournament, but as usual, garrosh being garrosh, and varian being varian screwed it up.

But as for attacking a neutral faction, I think the unprovoked Alliance attack on Gallywix's ship would count.
I forgot about that one but it would indeed count. That was attacking a neutral faction which, IIRC, is something even the Horde hasn't done. At least, hasn't done that blatantly. ('cause undermining the Argent Crusade's efforts in restoring the Western Plaguelands is indirectly an attack on the Crusade/Circle combo)
Also, Sold... if that's what you think, you do not have as solid a grasp on lore as you believe you do and have no business discussing it. I, for one, will not tolerate "I'M RIGHT BECAUSE I'M RIGHT." mentality. The lore states that both sides have good and evil elements inside them with the Alliance getting better publicity due to considerations that are outside the lore.
I'm saying it's not equal on both sides.
it is equal, you just convinently choose to ignore the unprovoked attacks the alliance has made on the horde, or make up lame excuses for them.
after the third war, it was a blank slate for both sides to put the past behind.
second war was over, orcs paid for their crimes (and the price was BIG, as were their crimes) they LEFT the eastern kingdoms to forge their own fate on a distant land. and who CHOSE to chase them across the sea just to continue the war? that's right, your lovely alliance.
who came to swamp of sorrows unprovoked to push a fight? thats' your alliance.
who attacked honor point BEFORE the shattering and also invaded durotar BEFORE the shattering thus breaking the peace treaty signed after WOTLK? your alliance.
who sent assassins to ambush an unarmed horde vessel on a DIPLOMATIC JOURNEY and then fired upon a neutral vessel? your alliance.
who invaded the home of the frostwolves for no other reason than to dig artifacts without caring to wipe out an entire tribe that NEVER participated in either wars? (therefore being entirely neutral to the whole conflict) your alliance.
who armed, financed, and aided a known TERRORIST GROUP who had just recently commited a coup, and were responsible for mass murder and successfully commited regicide? your alliance
who invaded the land of a race who for ages were THE most peaceful race in the world just for the sake of disturbing the land and dig for artifacts? your alliance
neither side is squeaky clean in this war, the horde has piled up their own stack of !@#$ too, and trust me on this, neither stack is higher or stinkier than the other, both sides have their fair amount of jerks and a$$holes, and no, no side has more than the other.
everyone but
YOU
can see it.
at this point you're just in plain denial.
is useless trying to hammer some sort of sense to you, because no matter what everyone else in the forum says, or even what THE DEVS OF THE GAME SAY, you still say "but but..... THE HORDE IS WORST DAMMIT, THEY ARE, THEY ARE THEY ARE!"(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##Kangi##DELIM##

Sold, Rank, if I may:
Both the alliance and horde are made up of 'people'
People are dark, cruel, evil, and flawed.
Thus, but the alliance and horde are dark, cruel, evil, and flawed.
