Really? Cuz its Earthquake that always eats up my mana.
The CD removal I think will make using Chain Lightning in AoE a lot smoother. Though the loss of the Call of Flame flame shock effect is unfortunate.

Probably not the best since elemental is used for its strong single target damage in pvp. Maybe if they are clustered together, you could cleave some damage, but it would probably be better to just stay single target to conserve mana. You may need to throw off some heals, and it's always good to have a good amount of mana to do that.

I don't think there's a real need to worry. Chain Lighting procs Rolling Thunder just like LB but the interesting interaction is that the % chance to proc it over the entire CL is calculated for 3 targets (because that's the default target limit). When you glyph for 5 targets hit, the proc% per hit remains the same, at the 3 hit rate so the number of Rolling Thunder procs goes up considerably. If you can hit 4~5 targets mana really shouldn't be an issue.
IIRC, with 4 or 5 hits my (non-85) shaman ended up regaining mana on average, so if you manage to hit that many targets, mana should not be an issue.
As an elemental shaman, I'm pleased with the changes. Spamable CL is absolutely amazing and what I've wanted ever since, and the buff to Earthquake is nice as well
The reversal of the 4.2 changes to Call of Flame makes me sad, since this mechanic – however clunky it was – gave me a lot of fun in PvP zergs, but it doesn't come too surprisingly after all.

Hey guys-
Been looking to come back and re-up my shaman that is around level 40 since it plays so differently than other classes. I got burned out at the beginning of Cata since my main was a healer.
Dont fret too much about the Wind Shear change. Yeah, it sucks, but IMO with the multitude of classes that have interrupts, and with healers needing to cast 2.5 second spells to keep targets up, the next expansion is going to increase the interrupt CDs to probably somewhere around 15 seconds anyway.
I am somewhat disappointed with the Metal Quickness change. Leveling as enchancement I could just switch out my gear to a healing set and have no problems. Now, without benefiting from "any" sources of SP outside of AP, that won't even matter, which is pretty sad. I hope they don't keep that.

Single target dmg is getting a teeny buff (more LvB crit dmg). I wonder if this is to make up for dps discrepancies in T13 vs T12, specifically losing the T12 2pc.
The talent changes were for simplification only. The three points now go 8/16/24 rather than 6/12/24, which will make no change to LvB damage (well, from this talent anyway).
The Flametongue weapon change is a
slight
nerf as it stands at the moment, but it improves scaling which is good (ie: T13 Heroic should come out as a buff, while at the other end T11 sees a nerf)

Updated with Aug 4 changes:
Wind Sheer's base CD changed to 15 sec, Reverb drops it to 5 sec. This doesn't affect Reverb talented Wind Sheer CD. I guess nerfing it to 25 sec was too much for Resto.
Yaaaaaaay! :D
