with the %^&*, isn't it? :PI don't know what that says, and it could probably describe a number of South Park episodes. The one I'm talking about, Stan is a cynic and sees everything as a literal pile of crap.

And Randy wants to be a teenager and all the music sounds like someone taking a crap right? Awesome episode.

I also watched all but Mask Rider, as I think I just plain missed that one.
trust me you didn't missed much, that show SUCKS.
Saban had this original idea of taking a popular kids show from japan, use their stock footage, get a hold of their costumes and so, while mixing it with new footage filmed in america.
The result was Power Rangers which proved to be a smashing success. What does a company do when something is successfull? replicate the formula of course. Before you know it, they took almost every single show that was successful in japan and made loosely based adaptations in america that used all the action footage of the original, while filming new footage over here, and mixed the two together.
While the result with Power Rangers was good, their other adaptations weren't so good. And Masked Rider was THE WORST. While the japanese source show (Kamen Rider Black RX) was quite good, the americanized version was HORRIBLE.
Kamen Rider Black RX was already quite soft, but Masked Rider was even softer, mushy and such :S and the editing got so bad that Tetsuo Kurata's face (the actor who played Kotaro Minami in the original Japanese series) was clearly seen rather than T.J. Roberts' (Dex) on several scenes.
Their other adaptations to japanese shows were significantly better, if only overshadowed by the massive powerhose that was Power Rangers.
Beetleborgs was awesome :P if anything because unlike Masked Riders, beetleborgs never attempted to be serious and was a pure uncontained comedy from start to end.
Likewise, VRTroppers was a much better adaptation than Masked rider was. The twist is that this wasn't using footage of 1 japanese show, but 2 Choujinki Metalder and another show, Jikuu Senshi Spielban with a third show Space Sheriff Shaider being added to the mix once the protagonist changed armors . Adding the twist that the heroes didn't disguised themselves as the VR Troopers, but transformed into robots. If damaged, they'd have to be repaired as robots before being able to reverse to human. The editing was so good, you would had never guessed they mixed footage of 3 completely different shows unless you investigated it.
You also missed another show by Saban on that list bro' Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. (A way to describe them is "Power Rangers, in the middle ages") :P it was a good show, too bad it was canceled after its first (and only) season.
Overall, I love the Power Rangers Show, and most of its seasons, but ever since the show railroaded in Wild Force, I've kinda abandoned the serie.
I'd rather remember it for what it used to be, than see what it has become today.
My favorite season was of course the first (for those who missed it, the spanish dub of it was AWESOME, Rita's voice in spanish PWNS her english VA by a long shot.) Plus the green ranger was and always will be forever my ultimate favorite ranger (despite the show continuously praising the red ranger in every.single.season).
Other favorite seasons include Lost Galaxy (Which was what Power Rangers Space wasn't, an adventure across multiple planets. On Space, the rangers spent most of the season battling on earth, and the asspull they made at the end where zordon sacrificed himself and somehow forcibly turned good every single other defeated bad guy wasn't much to my liking)
And Time Force, being in a solid second place, because Ransik (along with Zedd) is my favorite villain ever. (at least while I was a kid and didn't knew other villains like the Joker xD)
As for the other saban shows, as I said before, Masked Rider SUCKS (hard enough to suck a golf ball through a garden hose) but beetleborgs was funny as hell, and VRTroopers was interesting, well edited, and quite cool (Metallic suits > Spandex suits xD).
Tyr Na Nog deserved a bit of a better treatment =/ as a fan of medieval fantasy, I loved that show, and it should had been given further chances to shine.

I think I was getting just a smidge too old when they hit (I'm about to hit the big 3-oh /sadface) and being a girl ...I just didn't get it. They seemed stupid to me. I caught a few episodes and thought the guys were slow and the chick seemed *!@#ty, what was she doing playing "dress up in spandex" with multiple guys hmmm? But they never went all mushy romancy so I wasn't interested.

And the Red Ranger was Native American, and the very first White Ranger was a Caucasian.....yes, many a time, it's been said that the original series was racist....but meh, since that wasn't the point of the characters themselves. Since then, I don't think they really care about matching colours to race heh.
And nice post Rank.
On the series themselves, you realize a lot more when you are older; the villain for Mystic Force? The Master? At the time, I just thought it was a 'monstrous' enemy...now? I realized it was an actual Eldritch Abomination....in a kids show heh; and that's leaving out the de-skinned Lord Zedd of course.

Haha, Adam you nostalgia junky!Heh yeah, I still love the old shows from my childhood.
Funny enough though I did watch an episode from the Original series tonight on Teletoon Retro while eating cereal.Heh yeah, I saw that too; I have all the series on DVD(and currently going through a marathon now; episode 42 of 60 for season 1) so can watch it there instead of on TV.
Edit: And you know, rewatching the original series, and now knowing that David Yost(Billy) is gay...all his scenes with Kimberly, Trini, and the other female stars take on a completely different view heh.

I was in 5th grade when the original Power Rangers first came out. I watched the series off an on for the first few seasons, saw the first movie and pretty much grew tired of it. I do remember the original pink ranger being pretty hot though ;)

DVD would probably be a lot better, the video quality of the downloads I have is awful.
Oh it's just burned DVD's from the downloads lol.
