I found this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL1jDcAHkc8
from an interview with the EDL (read KKK). Moslamic ray guns...
Yeah, I linked that a while ago in the Bin, and it still astounds me. "The Muslamic infidels are bringing in their Iraqi law. You know, the Iraqi law in London." Um, okay.......

I'm sure this man represents the majority of Britain. Along everyone else in the world. Public speaking is dreadfully scary if you are not used to it. In fact, if I was the one being interviewed, I would be stumbling more than him and stutter profoundly, like their king back in world war 2. It's not that he's stupid, it's speech at a personal level.

This is what happened. A bright young lady but something happened. I'm sure that when she answered this question, she didn't know what she was saying.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to say they're being "djinnized"?

@ Xara- technically, since it's the perception of the western media, I'd say demonized fits better because our perceptions are framed by the predominant social and religious references in our own society.
But I see what you did there...I don't think most people even know what a Djinn is, out side of an entry in the Monster's Manual.

Glad someone got it. Otherwise I'd not only be a geek, but I'd be a really obscure one as well.

I wonder what muslims watch? I want to know what their media says about us. The sodomistic god-hating country. A country based on free will where men can become women and women can decide to become a men. You also stack it with the Quran, I bet they really hate us. Yep.

There is more than one Islamic country, and they're not all the same. In Iran, I'm sure that there's a hell of a lot more hateful propaganda about the west than in, say, Saudi Arabia.
Edit: I got it, but aren't djinn basically genies, and therefore rather neutral? :P

Well, Face...the Muslims I have hung out with watched a lot of Bollywood movies (since many of them were from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh) which, if you have never seen one, are always over-dramatic and involve a lot of people singing and running around trees. And they watched a lot of American movies, too- I saw a number of action flicks and romantic comedies in the theatres in my friends. And not friends who were born here and just "technically Muslim"- I had friends from overseas, who came here for college and still followed many of the restrictions of their religion.
The failure in your thinking is, like many uneducated people, that you use the word "Muslim" as though you think that they're another species, and that they are all as hateful and spiteful towards us as you are towards them. It's not the case. The majority of people who are Muslim aren't all that different than the majority of people who aren't- they worry about money, family, work, school, etc. They laugh at the same things, crack jokes, love their kids and their spouses. You are taking the worst representation of members of their religion and using it as the baseline by which the you judge the rest. That would be like judging all Americans by the actions of the KKK. Or by what you write on Wowhead.

Yes, I agree. I have the same problem when I try to speak "Mexican." I find it frustrating to think through the specific words to target a certain group that be a window of what I'm trying to aim at. I apologize for not pointing out specifically what I meant.
There's Britain, the U K, Great Britain, England. God, which one is it. :(
