However, nowhere did it say that he hates homosexuals. Thus, my statement stands.

But did it say that God hated them, or did it say that the people hated them and would put them to death?

No offense Funden, but that is one of the things that bug me with christians.
What decides which interpritation is the correct way to interprate the bible?
I gave my interpritation that 'god' made humans stupid and the snake saved us by giving us the gift of knowledge. You and Hyper called that stupid.
What makes my inerpritation wrong?

Beyond the fact that Satan was the Snake?

Beyond the fact that Satan was the Snake?
I'm not even sure if the current bible ever says that, granted I don't have one on hand. But, the origonal bible never even suggested that.

The 'old serpent' could just be an insult, calling him sneaky an sinister.
Considering the fact the snake was part of the bible before Lucifer was an actual character, I highly doubt it.

The serpent isn't identified as Satan until Revelation.
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years
In a book before Revelation, God curses Satan and reduces him to a being which moves about on the ground.

Wow, didn't realize you knew the truth and the rest of the world existed in the dark.

God hates the sin, not the sinner. God doesn't hate gays; God hates homosexuality. Will gays go to hell? Yeah. Not because they're gay, but because they're a sinner. Does them being gay mean that God hates them and WANTS them to go to hell? No, God wants them to repent, come to Him, and be born again.
Not really related to the WBC, but I guess it's related to the discussion of interpretation, which the WBC fails at.

The rest of the world isn't in the dark. The information is easy to look up, and the documentaries are on history channel all the time.
Satan was a position held by an angel, one who would interpret the laws of heaven.

What?
His name is Lucifer, Satan is just another name for him - given after his fall. He was the leader of the angels in charge of worshipping God.

Look back to the bibles origonal versions, before the whole story of jesus and such. Satan is given a brief mention is the context I just mentioned. And the snake in the story of genesis is... just a snake.
Lucifer came in later stories, and for some reason they gave him Satan as another name.
I guess he might of held the position at one time, as the old text makes mention of the satan commonly conflicting with god.

If there is a creator of the universe, and there's nothing I've seen to suggest that, I would imagine that he and his motives are a tad beyond our ascended ape comprehension.

And a point of interest: "Lucifer" is the translation of "morning star" in the Vulgate versions of the bible, there are only 2 mentions of morning star, one is in Isaiah as I posted above, the other is in Revelation:
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
Weird, huh?
This is because Satan had elevated himself to that position described as the morning star. After he was ejected from Heaven, and when Jesus returned to heaven after his earthly wanderings, Jesus took up that position.
What's more interesting is that in the Bible, Satan was thrown from heaven to earth & Jesus said he saw Satan fall like lightning. The black stone venerated by Islam at Mecca is a shiny and glassy meteorite found in the desert, with poetic characteristics quite similar to Satan.
