keeping sh adow embrace x 3 on the main target is really a progressive task. :(

don't worry about that, it's not something affliction pvpers actively strive to do. Just keep casting haunt on cooldown and any instant shadowbolts from 'nightfall' procs and the rest takes care of itself. Hard-casting shadowbolts is definitely not something you do in arena, but if left alone in battlegrounds it might be a choice. However, there's amost always something better you can do with your seconds, i.e dotting up more targets, fearing things.

I had a 25 minute brawl with fury warrior and a holy paladin. We ended up losing and the holy paladin was at full mana at the end of the fight.
If you've faced this setup before, how would you approach it?
I won 16 in a row with my partner and now we hit a brick wall with this team. Any suggestions?

There are several answers for your question. First and foremost, I have to state this:
PvP is not balanced around 2v2.
There ARE some comps that will simply stomp on other comps. Warriors in general have always been a pain for lock comps to deal with, seeing as a ton of our survivability deals with lifesteal (mortal strike > life steal).
That being said, was your priest mana burning? There is no reason for the paladin to be at 100% mana, unless the warrior was training your priest. Try to keep DoTs up 100% of the time, make sure someone is always feared (keep track of the warrior's berserker rage CD - warriors CAN in fact be feared!). Get good spell locks on the pally. If you are under too much pressure, port.. have the priest life grip you back if the warrior charges you.
But back to my first point, in general warlocks don't put out enough damage or have enough CC/interrupts to kill a full mana healer on their own. Try to think of ways to get the paladin's mana out of the picture.

Fin speaks wisely as usual. I arena on both my lock and warrior, and when I team up with a healer in 2v2 holy paladin teams are by far the most frustrating to face. I'd rather sit in druid roots/cyclones any day. Healadins have infinite mana, great mitigation, strong defensive cooldowns (as if bubble wasn't enough) and just won't be beaten unless you catch a real lucky break. There's no doubt they are way overpowered at the moment.
But again like stated above, 2v2 is the plague and will make you chew your knuckles in frustration. I personally still love to play 2's for the intensity and overview that comes with the territory, but the lack of balance between class comps is devastating.

I played a 2v2 (me Feral + Holy Pallly vs. Warrior + Holy Pally) recently and it went the full 45 minutes without a win. I could lock the Warrior down pretty well and get some solid DPS time on the pally but I could not get him down.

yesterday.
went 40 wins, 15 losses.
each of those losses took at least 5 mins to 30 mins. lol
i can forecast that if your an affliction lock with a discipline priest....
i had trouble with
frost dk ///// resto druid
warrior //// paladin
frost mage ///// priest (35 mins)
yea, that's about it lol.

i have a huge problem with my pet...
pets now have a new function called
"ASSISTI"
in the past, it was "attack"
so, for the past 12341234 arena matches, whenever i sinked my pet to attack someone, he would chase him down..
after about 4 seconds when i change targets, the pets immediately RUNS TO MY CURRENT TARGET
if i put my pet on passive, then use control 1 to attack the target, the pet will stop attacking after 6 seconds AND RUN BACK TO ME.. THEN RUN BACK TO HIM.
are you guys noticing your pet acting all strange?
this is a big problem, because resto druids and stuff can easily go to a corner and drink for 10 solid seconds

Before Assist that option was aggressive which did not act like you describe at all. Use defensive if you want the functionality you're describing but even better would be to use passive and bind pet attack and pet passive to mousewheel up and down and have complete control over the pet. As a pet class it shouldn't just be an extra passive DoT, it should mean something to control a pet.

for my last fight against a disc priest and a frost dk
the best option for me to do was "defensive"
if i was on assist, the pet will always change targets, and the healer would find intervals to drink for at least 7 seconds if im on the dps
if i was on passive, everytime that i feared the healer to dps him down, the pet would stop attacking. there was a instance where my pets ability could have killed the feared target but he was with me the whole time
it was more successful on "defensive" i sinked the pet to the healer, and during the 15 minute battle I had, the pet changed targets 6-7 times. i had to continue to spam Ctrl + 1 to have the pet attack the healer again... again, even though i say it was more successful, it is still pretty bad.
I would love to have a macro where the pet stays on the healer 100% of the time, and NEVER EVER EVER RUN back to me.
it's really a frustrating thing to do.
edit: during my last encounter, whenever the DK switched up to me, my pet BEGAN TO ATTACK THE DK INSTEAD OF THE HEALER :( :(. the healer ran to the corner and was able to drink for a few seconds. He didn't gain any mana but I was upset I had to sink my peti nto the healer again.
I want the old functionality back with "aggressive." At least I will know the pet will stay on the target I intended for it to stay on 100% of the time.

Are you sure you read the "PvP"-part from the thread title?

even though this is a PVP thread. the rotation that i posted in my first post is the standard rotation recognized by elitist jerks. they have the numbers to prove it to that current level. is it the highest optimum level? possibly or possibly not.
