B: Naga are even worst. Lets start with the fact that if they were playable, how the hell would they be able to use pants and boots for their armor slots? Naga have no legs, and no feet either. Naga can't live away from the water permanently.
ZOMG HUMANOIDS THAT CAN'T LOGICALLY
HAVE BOOTIES VISIBLE
AREN'T A VIABLE RACE BLIZZ
Also, snakes can't live outside of water. amirite?

trolls taurens and draenei have feet, even if they dont use shoes. Naga dont have feet, or legs at all.
Also, dont compare snakes to naga, there's 2 varieties of snakes, and believe me, those dont mix. Land snakes are helpless in the water, and water snakes are helpless in land.
Lore has already established that naga cant live out of water permanently, they NEED to be near a large water source to survive, wich is why ALL the current naga in the game are near a water source such as a beach, a shore, a lake, or the bottom of the ocean.

since one and all, the Naga are her personal servants and almost like extensions of her Will
not all naga :P the Illidari naga were likely all like "yhea, screw azshara, we're better off with this bofo"
Not exactly; Vashj and her forces were helping Illidan on Azshara's orders, as she was testing something for the Queen of the Ta-Ta's in Outland before they were going to attempt it in Azeroth.
cant posibly imagine what could be of value for her in outland, given that she's the old god's ho' and that outland is a bastion for the legion (Enemies of the old gods) and otherwordly forces, ect ect.Again, testing something: If they had tried it in Azeroth and it had failed miserably, or caused another Sundering she would have been crapping in her own backyard lol; better to make the initial test in a ruined world and see what happened when you sucked all the water of an area into one location and what happens to everyone else.
I hope this is one thing that gets addressed when we get the privilege of bashing her skull, I mean, blizz HAS made a habit of leaving plot holes shamefully uncovered. (Still waiting for an explanation as to how Genn managed to turn human without undergoing that night-elf ritual)
Um, Rank....he underwent the ritual when the first of the Night Elves approached him when they realized the Worgen were waking up; they explained that in Curse of the Worgen.
There is a planned Outland and Northrend revamp, just like there was for Old Azeroth with Cata.
And I am aware of that. But how about we save another revamp expansion for a later date?
Probably with each of the new expansions, we'll be seeing Outland and then Northrend updated along with the new content/worlds that are added in.

1. They have feet, good. They don't wear shoes. (ohnoes but they can equip boots ingame) Naga could just have boots as a tail cap.
2. Who's saying there isn't a second variety of Naga?

Probably with each of the new expansions, we'll be seeing Outland and then Northrend updated along with the new content/worlds that are added in.
Which means development will be split between revamping old content and designing new content, much like Cataclysm, and ends up being lackluster for both. Seriously, revamping Outland and Northrend needs to be saved for a later date, if at all. I personally don't mind the time-skip, considering BC and Wrath were much more fun to level through than Cata.
I actually agree with you on the revamping part, but I still think that xpacs revisiting the theme and building on the lore of bc/nr is a good idea and I believe they will do at least that if not revamping as iirc they have said they are going to do.
I want to go back to an outland theme, I don't necessarily want to see outland ripped to shreds the way vanilla content was (I'm speaking more of the quests rather than the land) and I have definitely felt that there was more quality to the content when there was less resource spread...however old azeroth is vastly larger in both quests and mass than either outland or northrend so it might not have the same impact on production quality. Lets also not forget that the addition of worgen and goblin, in particular their start zones, took up a good deal of dev time as well.
Now Northrend....I really don't want to go back to an icky undead theme again but I'm sure we will eventually :/ and I'll probably have to unsub again for it. Me no like zombie.

Pages 2-14 have much more information. Surprised WoWhead didn't pick them up yet as this seems like exactly the kind of disinformation Blizzard would leak a few months before Blizzcon to drive hype for it and following their announcements of expansions, it's likely that they're going to be announcing WoWs 4th expansion at this Blizzcon.

Blizzard being wary of adding a new class to game over the debacle that is Death Knight seems pretty realistic to me. They've been completely ineffectual of balancing DKs correctly. They have the highest survivability of all the tanks, unholy is the best pvp spec of the 3 plate wearing classes, and they're the second highest melee dps class in the game, only outpaced by fury warriors of a margin of less than 1%. It would make sense to me that they would want to steer away from adding another class to the game that would be command such prestige.
Naga and Ethereal as playable classes? Meh, seems underwhelming but totally like Blizzard. Also people slamming Naga and Ethereal as playable classes, you forget that many of the other playable classes are just a small part of the sum total of their race in the Warcraft world. Darkspear trolls are a minority of the troll in the warcraft world. The vast majority of troll population in lore are actually hostile to both Horde and Alliance. Ironforge Dwarves are only 1 of the 3 clans of Dwarves, only 1 of those other 2 being friendly towards the Alliance. Stormwind is the highest population center for humans, but there are alot of humans in the game that aren't alliance. The vast majority of NPCs in game are hostile. Playable Naga and Ethereal would just be small factions which break off of the majority.
As for customization options, tauren, draenei, and trolls either don't have feet or don't display many of the boots already in game. Naga would have fully customizeable faces while with Ethereal you would be limited mostly to bandage and energy color but you could also choose different facial structures for them to have, afterall, not everyone's profiles are the same. Arguably the only issue with them becoming faction alligned, is Naga are clearly amphibious and don't spend much time out of the water, but the playable races are all land creatures but that didn't stop them from going to Vash'jir and spending hours on end underwater without the weight of the ocean crushing them into dust. They would need to do some type of quest in their starting zone that would give them "Land Legs". And as far as Deadwind Pass being the starting zone for new playable Protectorate characters? Uhh, Redridge is right to the north of Deadwind pass, all you need to do is open up a pathway. Level 10-20 zone. Perfect for starting characters to progress into.

Well, if we're discussing mythical beings with no legs, I have a word for you.
Ragnaros.
Metzen has stated that he would like naga to be playable one day along with worgen and goblins (who have both become playable in Cataclysm). Due to their general role as villains, it is likely the playable naga would be like the Draenei are to the demonic Eredar.
Wowwiki might not be the most reliable source at all times, but there you have it, anyway.

not to mention that the wildhammers are now officially part of the alliance (you cement that on the twilight highlands when you unite the clans under 1 banner) and that the dark irons loyal to moira are also part of the alliance. Yes not all dark irons are sick bastards, the brotherhood of thorium are quite friendly to both alliance and horde)
Edit: and yes, MMOnwed just published the other 14 pages of the "document" but I still dont think its real, they kinda lost me at "Ethereals and Naga as new playable races" and "More lore for the neglected shadowpriest class"
