Im a big PvP fan and Aggressive was by far the thing that made my day. If Im in the flag room and something is in range, My pet takes off and its go time. Not to mention kill quests were a lot for fun too. Pet on Aggressive would kill one thing, charge another, thus tagging it for me. With everyone out and about in Cata, Aggressive made these kill quests easier. Call it a !@#$ move, but Im there to kill X amount of NPCs and roll out.

Who said my pet would kill it? If I kill something and my pet goes for something else, I just attack what they are attacking. Unless my pet gets bugged, there is no way it would be one shotting anything.

It's pretty obvious to me that nobody at Blizz playes a Hunter ... Defensive is useless and I consider it just another Hunter nerf by Blizz. I suspect that Aggressive was removed to further satisfy Blizz's
favoritism of Rogues.

This made me chuckle. Nerfed CC, nerfed burst damage, mediocre raid damage, very mediocre raid buff, fragile melee DPS, yeah, favorite class alright. I think you meant to say Paladin.
PS: I think the new stances are a pain in my butt and really aren't all that well thought out. Oh well, just one more keybind to add.
Few things:
1. Blind was buffed to last longer in PvE. Besides that, stuns sharing DR and the other jazz has been around for a few patches. Just means you can't Cheap - Kidney, etc, etc. I'd still rather have Rogue crowd control/lockouts/etc than the cesspool that is Hunter CC.
2. Can't quite say. I can't pretend Rogues have their problems. Sub's burst is largely based on the target's armor, as well as positioning. Assassination has crap mobility, and Combat...I don't know about Combat atm, but I did hear something about it being pretty awful (at least early on).
3. Can't disagree, but it may be a bit early to say for this content patch. I've heard crazy things like Combat having high scaling, etc.
4. I won't disagree. Rogues can only provide one raid buff per spec and about equal or less support than the other pure DPS (but, at the very least, Rogue's utility is reliable, and a Hunter's...not so much).
5. Rogues at least have self healing and ways to stop incoming damage or mitigate it. In addition, they can Vanish away, etc, etc. Hunters have few of these options, and, in fact, are probably the most fragile of the 4 pures. I won't disagree with fragile melee dps (although, to be fair, at least a Rogue won't pull threat and has threat drop options, unlike other *cough* melee dps).
Edit: I think one thing I can agree with is that the new stances are a bit annoying. I also discovered that the pet acts Aggressive towards some mobs in Assist stance.

I love the new assist stance. I'm a MM hunter and I use a ravager, so the fact that the pet now attacks what I'm attacking automatically is great. Yeah it kinda sucks for PVP, but track hidden and flare are already pretty effective on their own.

This is slightly off-topic, but has anyone noticed move pet acting weird since this patch hit? Just experienced it on Malygos.
I asked my turtle to move one way and he moves in the opposite direction...

Well I usually don't issue move commands anywhere else, but it's crucial on Malygos and quite a pain when it all goes wrong. It's definitely possible there's a pathing issue though, but I doubt it, considering the platform's design.
(Also, the Vortex force despawns the pet, effectively causing a threat drop, which is stupid annoying).

Canidae: Flare may have a "travel time" but I've noticed the area it affects instantly becomes "Flared" for purposes of destealthing, even though the Flare has yet to land.

Malygos might have a pathing issue on his platform because it's designed to fall away in the last phase? I've noticed that charge/anything that requires auto-pathing acts really weird in those situations where the floor is a trap-door (Cho'gall especially).
It's like the old ramp bug in BC.
*sigh*.
Either way, Malygos has found a way to screw us Hunters...again (at least we can solo his sorry ass)
