My favorite memory from World of Warcraft comes from the Vanilla flavor of UBRS. As a hunter, both then and now, I can't think of another time when WoW made a non-raid encounter almost dependant upon a class. I remember, with regret, wiping my group over and over as I polished the skills inherent in my class to perfection. I remember the great joy when I was able to single-handedly account for the success, not failure, of my group. And I remember the tells, mixed of humor and frustration, when I kept Drakk running around in circles for minutes after the other adds had already been downed. It was the joy of "being accepted" into the community, the sense of accomplishment in my newfound skills, and the fun of the game.
My favorite moment would be when I first trained flying. Before WoW I played in EQ for quite some times, and if you've ever played that game you'd notice how extremely painful it was to travel. When I got my flying mount for the first time I felt 'free', that and being able to enjoy the scenery of Outland from a different angle was really the first time I felt attached to the game.
My favorite memory ever in my 6 years of playing WoW would have to be, without a doubt, when me and my dads 2v2 team won an arena match.....i swear i almost wet myself with how excited i got, since we started we have won 2....so this was a big thing for me. and this would have to be the most exciting thing for me in all of my 6 years of playing WoW...its the little things, you know?
My favorite memory of World of Warcraft has to have been when I was first starting out in vanilla. I would go over to my friend's house on raid nights (weekends) and we did Zul'Gurub and Molten Core, more specifically I remember the Baron Gheddon fight in this huge room with 40 people stacked up on one location

My favorite memory was when I first started out on my NE. I was in teldrassil, doing quests, all the basic stuff; then something hit me, the mixture of the music, color of the zone, with the atmosphere sent a chill up my spine after i noticed them.
I suppose something that made me love the game was the trek from Darnassus to Ironforge with my level 15 nightelf hunter, the first character I created during WoW beta. The world just seemed so darn big and I had no idea what was behind the next corner. A shame that sense of wonder has gone from the game with better knowledge but well.
A long time ago in vanilla, back when using sap broke stealth (which you could talent to make it only a 10% chance) and before diminishing returns really took off, a rogue decided it would be fun to annoy me. He just spammed sap on me while I was in Booty Bay and he kept doing it for about a minute or so until his stealth eventually broke. The guards attacked him and he ran away into the water.I am a mage so I took the liberty of chasing after him and, seeking revenge, I polymorphed him. Back then at least, polymorphing something made it sink, so he sank to the sea bed. Being undead I had the advantage of being able to hold my breath for longer, so once he started to drown I was fine. I stopped him from reaching the surface with snares and stuns and he drowned.Quite sadistic, but it taught him to not mess with me again!
Happy birthday Wowhead! My favourity memory is from BC, in my first full clear of the Karazhan, when I won the roll for Malchazeen. It was my first epic weapon I got, I was so thrilled about it, and I loved the reddish glow it was leaving behind my roflcopter, and since then I was mutilating my way through the rest of the expansions...
My fondest memory, which might be a relatively tiny one, is when there was a (in hindsight) legendary brawl between Horde and Alliance in Crossroads. It was a bit outside and a dear friend of mine was being moonfire spammed by a Tauren, at the edge of life. I had recently came to life and was stealthing about. Just as I my friend and the Tauren thought the fight was about to end, with my friend being getting the final death blow dealt to her and the two actually doing the whole /bye, /cry etc, I popped up behind the big bad Tauren and finished him off.Might sound like a lame memory but the actual fight before this moment as well as the timing was just so nice and hilarious that it's stuck with me all these years. :)
The entire time I worked on earning Rhok'delar, Longbow of the Ancient Keepers & Lok'delar, Stave of the Ancient Keepers via the Stave of the Ancients quest on my Hunter. Earning that bow & staff was truly a challenge and they were nearly best-in-slot items for a lot of Vanilla WoW. I remember dying more times than I could count learning how to deal with each encounter and getting frustrated but having it be that much more satisfying when they died. I still reminisce when I fly over the Ancients in Felwood where I received Rhok'delar. With the way pets and Hunters are in general now, this quest is probably a joke compared to what it once was, which would be a shame because it was one of the most fun challenges I encountered in this game. That is by far my favorite quest-line and memory in WoW.
My favorite moment is when I was just starting to play and was around lvl 34 or so on my highest toon, some draenei warrior asked me where the mount trainer was for her and I told her the way.Why is that my favorite moment? That warrior became to be my best friend in wow and we always did things together since then, if I have never met her I bet I would of stopped playing before hitting the cap(lvl 70 at the time) :).
What is your favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why? When my friend and I rushed and leveling together from scratch to reach level 80 in Wrath of the Lich King. After we reached level 80 as as Alliance, we hunt hordes together in Raid Taunka'le Village with only 4 of us. That's probably my best memories in WoW.
My favorite moment was the rush of adrenaline and satisfaction once my guild finally pummeled The Lich King on 25-man Heroic to the ground. Hitting that 10% mark after 6 months of wiping endlessly on that boss brought such an amazing feeling of commitment and determination you really wouldn't expect from a game. The moment was an incredible one and by far one of my most cherished memories in my 4+ years of playing World of Warcraft. It's something I won't soon forget and hope to feel again in the near future with Deathwing.
