My favourite wow-moment was back in vanilla when i was playing my first character ever (which i still play today) a paladin. It was way back when there was no forbearance. I managed to single-handedly kill 4 hordies the same level as me (world pvp was so much fun back then). After the fight my heart was still racing and my hands were still shaking. I sure miss those reckoning bombs :)
After playing wow for 6 years there are many memories and I've spend quite some time wondering which one to write. After considering whether it should be how I met my boyfriend ingame or how our guild progressed through the game since we all hit 60 for the first time or one of the many other memories, I've decided for a whole different one that came to my mind after reading some of the other posts here on the site.It must have been one of the first days of the beta, or maybe the open beta, can't really recall anymore. I was a young night elf hunter wandering around Teldrassil with random new friends. I was wondering about all the cool things that was possible in the game that I had never seen before, picking herbs, catching fish and such. I finally tamed my first pet and was wondering how to make it happy. A friendly member of my party said I had to give it food, so we went out killing spiders to get legs, so we could make food for my pet. He made a camp fire in the forest and cooked me some spider leg kebab. How amazing it was that you could go collect materials in the world and turn them into something so useful. Times like that will never come back as we are older and wiser now and it takes so much to impress us. But we still play the game even though it is a very different game now.
My fondest memory of WoW? Oh god, that goes back ages...It was back in vanilla, I remember it well, it was on a rainy day, I mean night and my guild was getting ready for AQ20 (yes, we were that badass)I dinged 60 not so very long before, and they decided to help me gear up a bit, they bought me some res gear, I bought a bunch of pots and they allowed me to come. We wiped a lot, but in the end we killed all the bosses, I felt amazing to have done my first raid, and with so (arguably) few mistakes.I miss those days, those raids, that guild, and the people I played with :(
My favourite memory would have to be the first time I did a dungeon with my boyfriend- there was another guy in our group that was freaking out because his girlfriend was coming home and he wanted to get the dungeon finished before he had to log off. When I suggested he ask her to play with him he laughed and told me girls don't play WoW. He was a little suprised to say the least when he found out that not only was I female but I was also playing with my boyfriend... and even more suprised when I told him that it was me that got him to play and not the other way round!
My favorite memory in World of Warcraft would no doubt have to be raiding ICC. For others like myself, who only started playing during Wrath (In which I started at the beginning of Wrath) it was very interesting to find out how the game worked, and it took me a while to reach the point of raiding. I never really got to truly raid Ulduar, Naxx, EoE, or Obsidium Sanctum, and only very limited amounts of ToC, but when ICC came out it was very new and my first true raid, especially considering I had just joined a raiding guild. The whole experience of clearing my way through there, bringing my dps up to the highest levels in my guild, it was all very exciting. ICC has such great bosses and encounters I can say I hope Firelands has the same. ICC was just an excellent way to start raiding for the first time, and WoW hasn't disappointed me since.
I remember the 1st rare I ever found. It was Takk the Leaper. It was about 5 years ago that I caught him. From that point on I've been a rare hunter. It's what keeps me in the game knowing that there's a rare out there waiting to be found!
My favorite moment in wow was when i was disc in wsg and tanked most of the opposing team. They were unable to defeat me, and i felt like god. :D
MY favorite memory in WoW is when my guild was first doing LK. It took us a few weeks to down all the boses and the moment was finally here. We wiped several times on the LK fight but we wer NOT gonna give up. I died one last time and knowing that the brez was already used and a healer dying i thought we would wipe so i released spirit. Turns out that you get you have to do and you get rezzed. I missed out on the guild downing of LK and didnt get my acheiv lol :p
My favorite moment would have to be the first day of Cataclysm. I went to get the game at midnight, and stayed up until 3 AM to play. I had work the next morning at seven, too. As soon as I could, I started playing and tried to quest in Vashj'ir. It was so horrible; there were so many people. It was tons of fun though. Needless to say I was late for work. :P This was fun, because that was the only time I've ever seen that many people online at once.Another favorite moment I had was when I first got my epic mount. I got it in BC, but man was it fun. Oooh man, it was great. I got to run around Honor Hold so fast.. This was fun because going fast was great! And ANOTHER favorite moment was every moment I'm raiding in my small 10 man raiding guild. Man those guys are great! :D And THIS was fun because I love these people!
My favorite moment was when I gave my girlfriend the firefly companion pet after farming it for a while. She loved it so it made me happy.
I have so many memories, but i have a few favorites. I go arena a lot even though i'm mostly a PvE player, which also means that i'm not a pro PvP-er. Still, i do my best and i get a lot of help from my friend who plays with me. Now, we are both frost mages and he is really good, i mean, he can solo two people! Anyways, so i was in the arena and it ended up as a sudden death between me and a retri pala. My adrenaline was pumping and i really struggled with this guy and our health was almost identical until i finally beat him and let out a roar of victory over Skype and posted an update to my battle.net status and i was so happy. Haha, not for long cause right after that my friend told me "grats dude, but you're actually supposed to down him easily :p" And we both laughed. My second memory with also an arena memory :)So, there were we, two mages against a mage and a shadow priest. I "sacrificed" myself to kill the priest so my friend could easily pick up the mage. NOPE! My friend was at like 10% hp and the other mage was at 90% hp. It gets worse. My friend was OOM. I shouted to him over Skype that "YOU CAN DO IT! YOU'RE PRO!" So, my friend started kiting the other mage around the dalaran arena for an eternity (literally) all while being under 10% hp and chased by a 100% hp mage. He finally got to pop evocation and restore some health and guess what? After an EPIC fight, we won the match. It was amazing to watch. My third and last memory i am going to mention would be when i was waiting for the Time-Lost Proto Drake to spawn. Hehe. I'll never forget this one for sure. So, there i sat for ages when i finally got the thought "nope, i have to study for my test tomorrow." And since i use NPCscan i chose to turn the screen a bit towards me (Gonna study on the bed) and turned my volume to the max so i could listen for the battle horn to blow. Alright, so there i sat with almost literally one eye on my book and one on my screen when i figured that my chances of finding him were too small so i decided to just study. 2 minutes later i looked up on the screen, yelled HOLY *!@# and tripped over my table while i desperately tried to get to my computer. But when i got there, he was killed and he flew right past me while i was afk :(Oh, well :)
My fondest memory would have to be when I joined my favorite (and current) guild. I had been meeting with their members for Heroic Magister's Terrace regularly for about a week, and I quit my current guild at the time (drama) sometime inbetween those runs. One day, as I was doing dailies, they asked me to join their Karazhan run. Of course, I accepted, and we decided to pwn the place. Then, during Nightbane, they invited me to the guild. I was so happy, to finally be able to join them, because they were the most casual, laid back, and competent people I have ever met, perfect for me.
