My favorite memory would be discovering Ironforge for the first time. I was a fresh Dwarf galavanting through Dun Morogh and calling Kharanos home. One day I noticed a large ramp leading up into the mountains. Upon turning the corner into the main hall of Ironforge, my jaw literally dropped. This place is HUGE! I had no idea there were CITIES in the game, I'd just assumed it was all villages and camps.
The first time I ran a dungeon on Mumble with all friends. I played the game for months only doing randoms. The first time i ran with friends over chat i saw why the game has a bazillion subscribers. The experience is just so much less stressful and so much more pure fun.
One of my favorite memories has to be that time I had the most achievement points in our guild. It's always been a struggle for me to keep up with these boys who are half my age, but for one day I finally made it to the top spot for achievement points - for about 5 minutes. I was so proud. The old lady finally showed those young boys who was boss!

My favorite WoW memory has to be from when I first started playing. I had created my character as sort of a joke after watching my roommate play. As soon as my character was in Elwynn I did all of the /dance, /flirt, /silly, etc emotes that I had learned. I then actually started questing but when I got to the quest to kill wolves I refused to because, by my logic, they weren't hurting anyone! Instead I ran around Northshire Abbey yelling "Be Nice to Animals!" Shortly after that I discovered the crazy cat ladys cottage and learned a new emote, /pat. I was so proud of myself I called my BF and a friend into the room to show them, went to click one of the cats running around the cottage, and accidentally right clicked and killed the cat. I was so shocked by it we all bust out laughing, I laughed until I cried. That sort of random, ridiculous silliness is my favorite memory in WoW.
My first character , i was SO amazed by everything, i was exploring everything. And then i found my first rare, i was SO happy that i got him down, that i got a green item, i was thinking: "OMG SO NICE", great memories :) !
Definately killing the Lich King for the first time, i was recording that fight too. If i ever get to meet my guild members, i'd love to show them the video in such high definition that even i have to let go of the keyboard, else i start thinking that i'm actually playing xD
My favorite memory was the first time we heard Sara announce "I am the Lucid Dream" and ol' Yoggy appeared! It was the first time I can remember being fully immersed in the game! Oh Ulduar, how I miss you....
My favourite memory of wow would have to be saving up enough gold to get my regular mount on my first character. This was on my shaman, before I had a level 60 character. I was a bit of a noob back then so to speak, and not that great at saving money, but I killed basilisks in the Shimmering Flats ( way before the flood) for the spines and eyes until I had 90g or whatever it was back then to get my regular Kodo mount. Took me forever, and I even started grinding at lvl 37, and didnt have enough gold till I was lvl 41. (level 40 being the level to get the mount).
My favorite memory would have to be when two of my friends, and myself were all on our lvl 80 toons and we were running thru one of the dungeons in Blackrock mountain (I can't remember which one or even why now but I think it was for Rep for one of my friends). Anyway we are all in the same house so we had a "no vent needed" communication going on, with me being next to one of my friends and the other friend in the next room. We came to a high spot and the friend next to me jumps, falls, and lives. So the other friend and me are there looking down over the edge and we are saying no way. So my friend next to me is telling my other friend to go ahead and jump and he will catch him and float him down... go ahead dude, I gotcha. So the other friend is like Oh...ok... here I come. And he jumps. The friend next to me is going Wait, where are you dude? And my other friend (I can see this happening from BOTH vantage points since I am right next to him I can see his screen and his vantage point from the bottom, while my toon and screen watched the fall from the top) All the sudden my other friend's toon SPLATS on the ground right at his feet. All he does is go, Woops, there you are. My bad.) OMG we laughed SO HARD! So now every time my friend wants to try something, we will just look at him and say, Go ahead jump dude, I gotcha.... LOL Yeah it still evokes laughter. Great memory. :-)
There are a lot of good memories, after 5 years + in WoW, but probably the best one is failry recent.I had been searching from the right guild for me ever since the start of BC, but only last October, finally, I found a blace to belong to in Azeroth. My best memory from the game, therefore, has to be the first time, after much trying and planning and encouraging each other, we downed a raid boss all together (just FYI, it was Halfus). I discovered then what I loved the most about the game: the group effort, the learning, the working as a team towards a common goal.It felt amazing; and it still does every single time.Happy Birthday WoWHead! \\^O^//
My first raid is my favorite memory. MC when it was current. We wiped so many times that night!
My favorite memory is one of my first memories in WoW, back in early early vanilla, when raids could be formed for five-man dungeons. My guild at the time would organize raids for dungeons to help players once a week, then another day would organize a raid for world PvP. I was a level 20ish shaman at the time. We raided RFD. We were running up the mountain to the last boss, and either me or someone else in the raid accidentally aggroed a train of mobs. It was hilarious watching a group of monsters slaying a raid group of 20+ players, all ranging from varied levels, 20 to 60. This is the one memory I'll probably never forget about WoW.
My favorite memory of playing WoW would be the time when we raided Karazhan. It was my first raid ever and it was very exciting and the experience there had no match. Every encounter was unique and everything seemed so.... magical. I was.... I am really happy when i raid with friends and I hope everyone shares my feelings ^^
My favorite WoW memory is playing on my very first toon, an Undead Warlock, and getting a few friends together to help me complete the very time consuming Warlock mount questline and getting my Dreadsteed! I think the Dreadsteed is one of the coolest looking ground mounts by far, and it's sad that the questline is gone now. It was one of my first major accomplishments in the game and I was extremely proud of it!
