My favorite memory from WoW was when I was starting to develop a "method" of making money, by gathering materials such as copper, cloth, etc. When I sold all of my items in the Auction House I was so happy and celebrated the occasion by buying a 3 gold shirt off the Auction House. The total of gold I made was about 10 gold and I thought that I was rolling in money until I realized how much mount training was once I reached level 40... used to be 75 gold which would've taken me a week to make so I cried. : ' (I still have the shirt that I bought on that day though so I can always remember how naive I was back then lol.
My favorite memory was not long after my brother signed me up for wow. We were both leveling in eastern plaguelands at lvl 56 and we decided to plan out an attack to down the lvl 60 elite lich in the middle of the town sqaure. My brother played a dranei shaman and i was a night elf warrior. It was just really exciting as we took out mobs and got closer to to the "boss", as this was before i got used to defining anything that wasn't an instance or raid boss as "trash". We were barely able to kill it as it was, but we got an extra bit of epic when a few of the mobs around him respawned towards the end of the attempt in which we killed it. This was my first character so I had no idea how it felt to raid, but now that i have, I remember it being the same feeling of accomplishment.
Been here since the start and i just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this site the best place for WoW :)And my best memory of WoW has to be the time we first downed raggy... it was an amazing feeling! And ofc the main tank i was healing forgot to put on his sword again after mining a Dark Iron Node ;) but hey we still killed him so thats what counts.
(Not a native English speaker, so I apologize for any mistakes.)I only started playing a few months ago, and the IRL friend who recruited me made me join his semi-hardcore raiding guild. As a noob, I often got teased. One day, 'bout a month after I started playing, one of my guildmates was showing off his cool drake form (Vial of the Sands, as I would later learn) to my friend and I (who were still leveling in Outland), and I was like "whoa! Can I do that too?" "No way," he replied, "this costs tens of thousands of gold. But I can take you around for a ride if you want." "Sure," I said. I hopped on and he proceeded to take us over a bottomless pit and dismount. I got the parachute but it wasn't going to do me much good if there was nowhere to land. Except... I was a druid, and I already had my flight form. I watched him fall to his death while I landed safely, and asked, "What was that?""A failed prank," my friend answered. "A very, very failed prank." And lo, there was much lol on the guild channel, except of course for the drake guy who sulked for the rest of the night about stupid druids. :D
My favorite moment was when i first logged in as a dwarf. I took about 25 minutes to figure out the controls then 50 minutes getting mauled by everything because i didn't know the spells.... good times :)
My Fondest Memory From World of Warcrafti came to check up on my friend, Pindead, who has been positioned in indian-style for quite some time. Just staring out at nothing.<<Listen Pin, everything is going to be ok.<<The world isn't ending just yet.<<Don't beat yourself up<<it's not like sh-->>Listen man everything you're saying is fine and dandy>>but its not how it works>>You know how long we've spent together?>>Nataelea said it was never going to leave>>We were a match on here for life!My buddy started to pace back and forth rambling on and on about her>>This is where we met>>Ill never forget that day>>We danced>>We flirted>>We even kissed>>She said it would never end>>Us..I tried to counsel him with words of experience, but it didn't help.>>Listen i know your chick did you dirty >>and i'll never understand how that felt>>but you too will never feel what i feel>>its over...I saw him look at me and came close to look like he was about to cry, but I saw no sign. He was as brave as he is ignorant.<<Chris<<Everything will settle<<You just have to take it easy..>>DONT CALL ME BY THAT NAME TOXO!<<I'm sorry<<You're just getting me really nervous and im trying to talk to you as a friend..>>Understandable>>And I thank you for that>>But that won't change anythingHe looked over the edge and said one more thing to me:>>Toxo, please do me a favor>>Please don't tell jordyThen he jumped.I don't think anyone has ever survived a jump from Temple of Storms.I never saw him again.Until i saw him the next day in a Zandalari Heroic..
My favorite moment in wow:Back in vanilla you could do loads of spaces after you wrote a message to get down to the next line like../w Somone Hey there! *space* *space.....* etc..."Someoneelse" is whispering you: Hello there mate!So I used this on one of mi friends where I managed to lure him into leaving the guild.. and as this was happening we were all talking on ventrilo! And as he just left people asked him: "why'd ya leave the guild mate?"And he responded that he had been talking to the guild master about his misbehavior towards a certain person (mi self). Now everyone just bursts out in laughter! hahaha etc..And he goes like: "what's so f***ing funny ey!"Then they tell him the obvious... The guild master aint even online mate...A few seconds after I got angry whispers together with screams on ventrilo and the next morning the guild master told me that I had been abusing his name etc... and I got a -50 DKP ^^We're all friends now of course! =)
The best memory i have is the AQ gates everyone standing round them as they opened....made my realm crash i recall right heheit was one of the best ones ive had ever theres never been anything better than that one thing The aq gates...you cant hate them
I think my favourite memory was the last Naxx40 run on my realm in TBC, a large group of us were running classic raids for fun, and for the last few weeks before Patch 3.0.1 we were running just Naxx. Not only did i get some T3 shoulders and bracers (still in my bank, since I have a habit of collecting old tier gear) but partway through the very last run we had a looting issue, and one piece of BoP loot went to the wrong person. a GM was called to correct it who arrived just before the Gluth fight, and appeared to us disguised as a slime (). After correcting the loot issue, we invited the GM to come along for the Gluth fight, and (s)he agreed. I'm not sure if (s)he helped at all, but I did see the big slime running around the room and casting things, until eventually we wiped for some reason or another and the GM was the only one left alive (Cheater :P). We ressed up and made another attempt with the GM, this time killing Gluth, and as a thank you we gave the GM an off-hand item which dropped (and nobody wanted), to which (s)he proclaimed "PHAT LEWTS!" and thanked us, before departing.Whether it was because it was the last ever Naxx40 run on the server, or just because we were running Naxx, I have no idea why the GM decided to show up and have some fun with us, but regardless it is probably the most fun I've ever had on a raid :-)
I think my favorite memory from WoW was the first time I ever raided. It back back in BC, and some friends I made on the server were looking for someone to fill in a spot for Karazhan. I think we started wiping on shade, but I was hooked. Ever since then, all I've ever wanted to do with the game was raid.
