Starting my first character with my fiancée.
My favorite memory was the first time we downed Curator in Kara. The raid was dead except for the holy pally who managed to bubble and finish him off. Someone on vent snarked, "well, this guy's on farm."
Definitely the moment i was in a guild group and we downed the conclave of wind. It was a very epic battle in a beautiful place
my favorite was when lich king got released, our guild was just full off fun but silly peoplewe didn't know each other irl but still laughed and lolledour first naxx run was a pain so we started using skype the first day i came on skype our GM said "ellooh,rr what you wearing" god that stayed in my headnever knew a heard the guy before, it was just fun . My best memory is of the ppl i have played with and still play with some. thx for the lols;)
First off, Happy 5th anniversary. I use your site all the time (anything from looking up items, to comparing gear, to comparing another player's gear to my own, or even looking at boss strats). Your site has been really helpful, and I will continue to use it even when you changed its name to RIFTHEAD (yucky lol).My favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why? -There are many memories. Many fights, instances (etc) have been great in game. The most memorable moment was when my brother referred me and I created my very first character. It was like learning to walk.
Just after hitting the level cap of my first character, which was during the Burning Crusade, I managed to convince my 3 of my friends on the server to help me run this crazy group quest called the Battle of the Crimson Watch. I was obviously still in quest reward gear and the rest of my group decided to use some of their new alts so they could finish the quest, too. Another thing to take note of was that most of the people playing had no experience playing their roles yet. New tank, new healer, a hunter, and me. Now, this was a 5-person quest, and we were attempting it with 4 undergeared and green players. We manage to bumble our way to the last wave before the healer runs out of mana and she and the hunter dies. So its just me and the tank alive trying to down these two gigantic, showdowy forms. I'm getting yelled at to bandage the tank so he can stay up when he finally goes down from a few crits. Luckily, we managed to down one of the last two, so its just me kiting the last one, who is nearly dead. I somehow manage to blink and run away, summon my water elemental and take him down! Knowing only leveling dungeons and easy quests, the first thing I said was "That was amazing! I never knew this game could be so challenging!" My group's reply: "Wait until we start doing heroics!"
Other than the quality time I got to spend having fun with my husband and other guildies raiding, I'd have to say the first time I was able to do the Safety Dance without dying in Naxx is right up there on my list of favorite memories in WoW. I think I might have actually squealed. :)
My favorite WoW memory was logging into the beta and exploring the world when I knew nothing about it. I wish I could get that sense of wonder back. :)
My favorite moment in the game was also one of the most simple: It was the journey from Dun Morogh to Loch Modan. As a new player those first few levels actually take a long time as you figure everything out from controls to abilities (and possibly make a corpse run). It was with great joy that I exited the tunnel from the Southern Gate Post and entered the Valley of Kings. The Valley of Kings remains one of my favorite stops in the game, an impressive monument to ancient rulers that gives new players an inkling of the scope of Azeroth.
My favorite memory in WoW is the first time i ever logged in. I was brand new, created a human warlock, lvled to lvl 8 and completely got lost in the world. 2hrs later after wandering in the seemingly massive world, i found myself in stranglethorn corpse running from lvl ? cats and get camped by some ? undead. I then switched realms after discovering i could do that and roled a hunter in which i still play today.
My favorite experience in WoW has been the Story Circle held every Sunday night Horde Side on the Wyrmrest Accord - US server. Anywheere from 20-50 players gather every week in character (rolepalying) to share there RP stories, normally based on their adventures or surrounding the lore of their race. The interactions are wonderful and the stories people come up with range from hilarious to down right amazing and show just how wonderful RP servers and communities can be.
My favorite WoW moment is definitely from Vanilla, playing with my brother. We started playing together ~6 months after release, with me hitting 60 before him. I remember he was in such a hurry to try and hit 60 as well so that we could start doing dungeons and raids together. When he hit 58, we stayed up for almost a day straight grinding and questing together so that he could finally be finished.I remember it distinctly, running around in Silithus killing spiders one at a time until he 60, and when he finally dinged, we both started yelling joyfully. Was the best moment I've had in WoW.
I remember back in Season 4, when me and my team had been chasing Gladiator cut-offs all season and we finally placed ourselves in said cut-off. 4 Hours before the servers went down for maintenance, our Druid (Playing Resto druid, mage and warrior) noticed that a few teams had went over our rating, and removed us from the people who would get Gladiator. He called me up since we're 3 real-life friends and told me to get the online so we could get our rating up and secure our title, so I called up our warrior asking him if he could play a few games. When he said no, I asked him why and he said that he had to finish his Masters thesis in Computer Engineering.I called the druid back and told him the bad news, but he was not the type who would give up on what we had worked so hard for. He came up with a plan, the plan was that we would help him finish his thesis so we could get a few games played so we did. After about 3 hours of work we finally finished it and had about 30 minutes to win 6 games before the server went down.It was the most intense action I've ever had in a game, we didn't have time for stalemates or any match that took more than 3 minutes. We went through 6 games in a row, DESTROYING a bunch of teams trying to get their Brutal Gladiator title, teams that had demolished us earlier in the season but with great teamwork, morale and a deadline we came through and finally ended the season as we wanted.Best memory ever, and big props to my teammates who played bloody excellent.
My best memory was when me and my guild downed the last boss in Molten core, 40 ppl together was a great feeling. It was long ago in vanila but its in my heart.regards Bikerbabe Khadgar
My favorite WOW memories are back in Wrath when I hit 80. I remember the excitement and the fun of getting into a 40 man raid and doing the For the Alliance achievement. They would never tell us which city we were going to until we were almost there to prevent anyone from logging over to Horde and giving them a heads up. We would sneak around areas trying to not be seen by any horde players and hit a city and teleport out fast. I remember teleporting to Theramore and running through Dustwallow Marsh and the going into the Barrens and running up the coast to Orgrammar to kill Thrall. Something just seemed really epic about 40 players charging into an enemy city in one huge group to kill a city leader and fighting all the players that game to the rescue. We had some major battles in Orgrammar. I got my Black War Bear in one day but continued to join the city raids all through Wrath just because it was fun and exciting. When we knew in advance they were coming to Stormwind we would form a raid and pile into the king’s chamber to defend. Those were some massive world pvp battles. That was my favorite WOW memory.
My favorite memory of World of Warcraft would be when I first started raiding. I didn't start the game until right after BC was released and while I was noobing my way to 70 (I was clueless to the likes of wowhead, etc.), I kept hearing about this mysterious place called Karazhan. I happened across a guild with a great group of people that helped me become less of a noob and once I had the appropriate gear, we made our first trek into Kara. It. Was. Awesome.! Scary ghosts, creepy atmosphere, and spectacular encounters drew me in totally.I've been hooked on raiding ever since and can proudly say that though the guild name has changed, I'm still raiding with most of the same people from back in the Kara days.
