The most memorable moment i had in World of Warcraft, was obtaining Sulfuras, The Hand of Ragnaros during classic time. That is when people use to run in fear when they saw me in battlegrounds, and when everyone wishes i was on their faction side ;)
best moment in wow was back then in vanilla when i was lvling my rogue while working in a net cafe...everyone from client-staff-friends was alliance except me...and there was a client that walks in asks me for a computer and he says with a tone "tell me where are you leveling so i ll come and kill you" - im at hinterlands come get me! So we are facing each other without being able to watch each others monitor...i start spamming in local defence for help and manage to get 3 more random ppl with me.he arrives with his awesome pally mount and ofc a skull instead of level number, spots me and tries to get me i vanish and go hide in a tent xD he kills everyone else and i ambush crit him for 1000+ dealing a killing blow i will never forget his face full of frustration/anger + the laughters from his fellow alliance friends that were standing behind him laughing so hard xD
By far my favorite moment in wow is The Wrath gate cinamatic and the dearly departed quest to retake the undercity.
The wow memory that I cherish the most is the first time I killed Illidan during Burning Crusade. My guild had been working on him for weeks and some of us were starting to think we would never see him die. The explosion of cheers and excitement in vent has been unparalleled to this day!
My fondest memory of the game comes from years ago. Sitting outside of The Crossroads as a level 60 hunter in Tier 2, taming a level 14 beast and waiting for horde to attack it. Of course, then, Aimed Shot didn't take my Night Elf out of Shadowmeld until its cast was complete. The same tactic worked wonders in the Tarren Mill vs. Southshore tug-of-war age. Ahh, back in the day we never dreamed of riding on rockets, and I was convinced that the flying mount rumor was a cruel joke by Blizzard for the up-coming expansion of the time, The Burning Crusade. Hard to believe it's been 5 years I've known ya, Wowhead.I'm relieved to know that Wowhead is the king, because Thottbot would have been a nightmare had it retained its strength. Good luck in the drawing everybody, and thanks for the memories!
There is stuff like my paladin friend giving me gold to get my first ground mount, or hitting 60 on my first character or killing Ragnaros for the first time or getting Rhok'delar but I think my favourite memory is still sitting in Feathermoon one evening watching the sun go down with that same Paladin and just RPing. The sky was beautiful and the world just seemed so alive us sitting on the grass and talking. I do miss him and the rest of my first guild from vanilla. There are a lot of people who have come and gone over the years and who are the reason I've been playing this game since release.
My favorite moment in WoW was the first time our guild downed Malygos. This is way before they came out with that ingenious drake /follow macro :). The fight was chaotic, intense, we had wiped 1001 times, but everyone stayed good natured about it and stayed focus. Finally, after 15 or so attempts, we downed him, missing the Realm First! by only a few days. Vent exploded with cheers, screams and tons of unintelligible ranting, and our disc healer whispered me and congratulated me on my awesome dps. Two weeks later, I was on a plane to visit her in Florida. Over 2 and a half years later, I still haven't left. This game has given me my wife and our beautiful 18 month old son. No words can express how much WoW has done for our lives. Thanks Blizz, you guys are the greatest. And buff ret pallies please.
My favorite moment was by far back in BC when I had finally saved up for my first flying mount. I was always just a tad jealous of the people that had them, and it took me ages to save up for it because I was never very good at making money back then. then when I got it I spend the rest of the day just flying around and doing nothing productive, and unable to afford repairs. :D
My favorite memory is when in my noob days, I used to always sit and type in say trying to respond to people in general. A week later, I tell all my friends that I had figured out how to talk in general chat, then they laughed. Was great and have come a long way for 5 and a half years :D
My coolest memory was not figuring how to get onto Fizzcrank's barge in Thousand needles and I decided to see if there was en entrance through the underside of the boat thinking it was a trick, instead, I found a basement underwater with a snazzy calendar featuring a goblin bikini babe on a mechanohog! I lol'd! It's my favourite memory, because I've not met anyone ingame who's found it on their own yet, but I've sent plenty looking! It's Awesome!
My Best and Favorite WoW moment was in TBC when i was in my first guild ever called Lost Souls and we mange to clear Karazan for the first time! The sensation off the kill with all your new friends that you have made those past days of the raid just burn to my mind, i can't describe it in words but the feeling are so amazing. Till this day 4 year's later that core raid group is still together and playing it made us friends for life even if are not living in the same country not speaking the same native language or have the same religion... we are better, we are friend in arms!
My Favorite memory of WoW was walking through the Dark Portal for the very first time. Taking the first flight path to thrallmar, watching as the demons tried to escape the gate, wondering why the ground was always shaking at odd moments just before I got crushed into the packed red earth. I had been playing Wow since the beginning and the first new expansion and the chaos of an entire server swarming over a beautiful new landscape stuck with me. Every time I bring my latest alt through that portal I still remember the first time i saw it.
