My favourite moment was in the first public WoW beta, when I dinged 40 as the first one in our guild and everyone sent me some silver so I could afford the violet raptor - I was so proud of beeing one the first with a mount, because 100 gold was really a lot!
Back in Vanilla all of my closest childhood friends played WoW. The first time I ever ran wailing caverns, it was the most overly epic experience ever; it took us over an hour to get through the entire dungeon-- I distinctly remember one of my friends raging, because someone ninja'd a chest (back when chests had to be rolled on manually). WoW was the last time we were all together (in a way) since college, then everyone sort of went their own way.
Favorite memory would have to be when my guild killed H putricide server first. The nerd screams could be heard for miles around :D
My favorite memory would have to be when I hit Lv 85 ! it was a week or so after the drop of Cata & we (MY guild & I ) stayed on playing for days on end. & when I got the 85 DING my black little soul got three sizes bigger
My favourite memory was back in the day, when i was about 11 or 12 i leveled my first character up to 60. A human paladin, took me months, mostly because i had no idea what i was doing. I dinged 60 back in Vanilla, we killed the Headmaster in scholomance and he also dropped my Lightforge Helmet, (the last one i needed to complete the set) I thought i was so badass! I was so eccentric when i leveled to 60, it was unbelievable! Ofcourse back in Vanilla it was extremely hard to level a character to 60, well atleast it seemed like it..!
My favorite memories are leveling with my dad. It's a fun way for us to spend time together, even when I'm away from home. He introduced me to video games in the first place, so it's only fair that I introduced him to WoW!
My favorite memory in WoW is from Classic. I was a warrior offtank to a multi-guild Molten Core group, and we were just starting to raid. We were not 'epic' or 'elitist' by any stretch of the imagination. About two weeks in, we managed to hit Magmadar... and promptly hit a brick wall. Attempt after attempt, our main tank just could not keep himself out of Fear and the raid was wiping because of it. On a whim, the group asked me to try it. Up to that point, I had only proven my worth by tanking Molten Giants and the adds on Lucifron. And I aced it. I don't think I was ever more 'in the zone' than I was on that fight. I stance-danced, and berserker-raged through every fear and never lost control of the boss. No deaths, a perfect kill all around. In the weeks after, I was promoted to main tank for the entire run, and was given control over epic-level encounters such as Ragnaros, Onxyia, and BWL bosses as we pushed through content. That Magmadar fight, however, will always stick with me, as a time when I, a rookie to raiding, was put to the test and helped our group pull off a great victory.
Introducing the game to my parents... and watching them turn from normal people into complete WOWheads in less than a week. It has brought my family back together, in a strange and weird way.
My favourite moment; back in Vanilla. Myself and a group of my real-life friends decided to venture to Blackrock Mountain. We found a lone Orc Warrior clad in Tier 2. We weren't that clued up on the guilds of that realm, and we layed into him. He was dead within a few moments, and for some bizzare reason we decided to corpse camp him. Moments later, his entire raid poured out of Blackwing Lair and with weapons swinging furiously and anger raging, they chased us, from Blackrock Mountain, all the way to the Badlands. We hid behind a tower and laughed hard over Teamspeak for a good few minutes, until a friend decided to run off. He found them, unfortunately for us, and they slaughtered us as he intimidating shouted them right into where we were hiding. Good ol' Tread. ^^The good old days where for me, WoW was about having fun with my friends.
My favorite memory is the first time I made my first character and going through Elwynn Forest. The game felt so endless running by foot. I thought to myself this game is huge. My friend who got me started showed me the map, and explained that it was just a zone. My jaw just dropped thinking of how much there was. Looking at it now though it feels so much smaller although more and more has been added.
My favorite moment in Wow was actually all because of Wowhead. There used to be a mob (spirit wolf) called the Grimtotem Spirit Guide in Dustwallow Marsh. This ended up being a pet that Hunter's could tame but Blizz "fixed" it after only two weeks. The thing about it was that it was a summoned mob that spawned for only a few seconds. It took me, a special gem, a shaman and a priest to be able to get my tame beast cast time down enough to be able to get him. Only took me 6 tries! :D Never would have been able to figure it out without WowHead! Thanks guys.
