My favourite WoW memory was not too long ago. For years I've been going in and out of Undercity, unaware of anything special. I stopped in the throne room to reply to a friend when I heard the echoes of something. I turned off the music and listened to Arthas and his father for a good, long time. And then, on the way out, the bells were like icing on the cake. All this time, and I never knew about that little morsel. Awesome stuff, Blizz.
Each time an expansion comes out, the leveling experience is one of its high points. The exploration of new areas, discoveries of twists in Azeroth's story, pop culture references in quest text, and the race to realm first all make it a thrilling, wonderous experience that I don't want to end. The 20-odd hours I stayed up to get 85 after Cataclysm launch were especially memorable because it was the first time I'd had company during the leveling process. Four guildies stayed on vent the entire time keeping track of other players' progress in both factions, telling jokes, relating WoW memories and complaining about how quickly our ICC gear was getting replaced. One of us even got realm first rogue!
My favorite memory is the first time I ever raided and it was Karazhan. I was brought in on Moroes to chain trap one of the adds and I had never bothered to chain trap anything ever before. Of course, I failed the first time and we wiped, but after that one wipe we were able to down him. It was really exciting being in my first raid, chain trapping, and suffering from garrote.
My personal favorite memory of my WoW experience is when WoW first came out and the lvl cap was 60. Getting enough good players to go down Ragnaros in MC. The trash always took hours to do. Been with allot of bad raids and good raid before BC came out and then Illidan was the new main boss to kill. All the hours spent trying to get a full raid together. All the whips thats happened. But when we finally killed him everyone on vent at the same time started to cheer, shout, and yell in excitement.
My favorite moment in WoW was the one that to this day is something that makes me smile when I think about it:It was when I first began playing the game, with my friend, where I had rolled a Tauren Warrior and him a Tauren Druid...Upon questing on the barrens green items and gems would drop and the little need-greed window pop where we had always selected need thinking that:" We are not greedy people so why go ahead choose greed" even though speculating what greed was and had no idea what really need was about, we always chose need, this was until the time when we gathered a group and entered Wailing Caverns for our quests, and as was our routine rolled need on every item and ended up only two of us trying to finish the dungeon, as the rest of the group left calling us "noob ninjas"...Afterwards, it appeared that these for groupies of ours reported us in the trade chat to do point that no one wanted to form a group with us, at this moment me and my friend seperated ways for our class quests where he got continuously getting ganked in tarren mill as he had forgotten his PvP on, where I was trying farm money for the required mats for "blue" chest-piece and getting horrified by the barrens chat(it was still alive back then). After these events a friend of ours who was raiding at the moment why my druid friend quit, and I told him about the events, and that is how I learned what we were doing was one of the terrible actions among the gaming community. To this day, every time a person in a pug ninjas an item for their off-spec that I would need for my char's MS and wins, two words pop into my head: Bad karma...
My Fav Moment in wow was when i obtain one on the warglaives with my char, i kept so happy that my name was in Trade channel for 2 Hours, then i said @#$% that jealous guys and lets start to kick buts with it.Another that i most likely, was when i did the Huge Achiv of the Icc 10 Man Drake, When my bro killed the Lk he Run to the street naked *.*Hahahahaha
Im sure I wont win, and to be honest I'm VERY sure this comment will not stay on very long. But you asked what my favorite memory of Wow was. This is my favorite memory of Warcraft, hands down. My GF was in the mood and I was not, so she was trying to get me off the computer. I was joking around on vent and guild chat about her going down on me while I was playing. She made it happen. I was not on much longer, but I'm part of a small group of people who can say that playing Warcraft really got me ahead in life!Side Note: I suppose I did get a mount from that!
My favorite memory of WoW was when I finally started to run Ice Crown Citadel with my fellow guildies. I was a little apprehensive of trying raiding because I wasn't sure just how good I could do, but my guild-mates made it fun and interesting, even if it was a little tedious at times. I really liked the camaraderie and helpful attitude of everyone. I would have to say that it was my favorite memory because it helped me to learn to enjoy raiding. I also learned a lot about the people in my guild and liked them even more than I did before. It taught me exactly what a good raid group should be...how raiding should go so that everyone is included and has fun.
My favorite memory wasn't some big achievement or killing the lich king or anything like that... I was around level 45 or so and I got a tell in game from a co-worker/friend asking if I could give her kid a hand... He was trying to get through a dungeon, can't even remember the name of it, in Darkshore, full of Naga with a Hydra as the boss... Anyways he was with a group of friends all low level and all around 12yo... So I headed over there and ran through the dungeon slaughtering everything for them and let them do the boss fight on their own... They thought I was some kind of God and it was pretty funny the way they kept sending me tells for weeks afterwards thanking me for helping them and asking me to join their guild... Anyways it's my favorite memory because it was just so much fun to help these guys out and they were so appreciative of the help... Still puts a smile on my face to this day when I think about it...
My favorite memory would have to be the first time i ever saw deathwing at the beginning of the goblin campaign because of the way he flew about and the detail that was on his body amour was amazing, just being around him was thrilling to see and feel. it was so thrilling that i even took a screenshot of it then put it as my desktop background and now seeing deathwing even at lvl85 is amazing and something i would tell anyone about.
My favourite memory from wow was actually nothing special. I was playing my gnome warlock in western plaguelands when suddenly everything got darker and more red and i was wondering what the heck was going on. So i talked with some people in the guild about it but they didnt know why everything became darker either. A few min later while killing this mini-boss it started to burn everywhere and i died, got an achievement and ran back to my corpse. it was then i checked in the achievements tab and it was the achievement = "Stood in the fire". It felt good somehow to get that achievement since it was my first time. The End
