My favorite moment was undoubtedly two manning the safety dance. It was my first ever raid, considering I started playing mid WotLK, and had geared up just in time to get into a raid with my guild. We got to the safety dance, and were doing fine for about 4 minutes, but then the entire raid got wiped out of existence. I was a Death Knight frost tank, and only a paladin healer (Being played by a friend of mine, who actually convinced me to play WoW.) left. After about thirty minutes filled with tension and lots of Icy touch and pestilence spamming for Dot refreshment, and a ton of words of encouragement from the guild, we downed Heigan the Unclean. Needless to say, I was pretty full of myself for a while. Lol.
My favorite moment was finnaly hitting level 85. It was amazing to find out all the features unlocked. Tol barad is the most special because it is like wintergrasp, except more exciting and anticipating. The new dungeons, battlegrounds, Feats of Strength and of course how everything is much more easier, but harder at the same time, are all exciting things unlocked. I always thought being 85 is special. But I never knew it could be so "enlighting", as if i made a huge accomplishment, which it was! Being level 85 is as if you're hulking over Azeroth (or Outland) being one of the "gods".
I'd have to say back in vanilla healing on a resto shaman in ZG and telling a mage, that always cried for heals even when he was getting them, during the Bat fight that he resisted my heal as he died.
Although I'm definitely not hard core PvP my favorite WoW memory so far comes from a pug 80's AV. About a year and a half ago we won 1-0. It was - of course - a turtle. Both team's initial zergs wiped and about a quarter of the team left and we felt ambivalent about our prospects. For the next 40 minutes or so, a drawn out battle ensued where towers and graveyards got capped/recapped and a battle line got formed which flowed just perfectly (I imagine for Horde as well). Instead of automatically leaving at the end of the battleground, most of our pug stayed chatting until the 2 minute post battle timer kicked us out.
Best memory, breaking into the supposedly unaccesible Karazhan Crypts on my lock, then summoning all of my old warcraft lore freakish friends in to explore the whole place, Medivh's grave (however empty it might be), the gross Upside-down Sinners Room... Damn I had my lock parked in there for a full month straight and would explore it anew every other day.Getting to the dancing troll village in darkshore and the WKM tomb in orgrimmar are close seconds.Yeah, I've always liked exploring even at the risk of a ban if I was caught :(
My favorite memory so far is when I first discovered flight form on my Druid. It doesn't sound like much but on my first run for herbs, my mind was blown. Not only do I get to collect herbs faster than any race, I don't even have to dismount to collect! It was amazing. I like professions too much, haha.
My favorite memory was the first time I downed Ragnaros back in vanilla wow. I wasn't in a raiding guild but a really good guild that was way past MC was raiding it using some pug people where you had to sign on up on their forums. The first several times I ran MC with them, I didn't get to go to Rag because I didn't have enough fire resist. The first time was awesome! I was on my level 60 troll hunter. *sigh* Those were the days...
My greatest memory in WoW was when I met my girlfriend. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was raiding TK with my guild for fun during Wrath, none of us ever thought the mount was going to drop so we brought a couple friends with us from outside the guild who never got a chance to raid TK back in the day. Then low and behold the Ashes of Alar drop and I won the roll! But since it was the first raid Steph had ever been too since she had started playing only about a month before, and since I was the one who invited her I decided to give it to her instead. She was so excited to have such an amazing mount that she decided to thank me by sharing her extra ticket to E3 she had with me that year. And I guess that was our first real date, and we have been together ever since. =)
At level 40 I had be saving for over 10 levels in order to aquire the roughly 120 gold to buy my first riding mount. I can still remember the exileration of mounting that raptor and speeding through Durotar.
I have several. Hitting level 69 (in BC) and getting a random whisper asking if I would heal Shadow Labs. Met one of my best friends that day and the guy who taught me everything about WoW. Taking the worst people the guild could find and downing Prince Melchazzar within a week of the good group who had all the gear and skilled players. Returning to my original server after a time of transferring and walking a guild who couldn't drop Lootreaver up to Kael and Vashj back when everything was hard. Being the first tank in my guild to down ZA back in BC. And in the process of all this, meeting the guy I would eventually marry (Nov 10, 2010 =)
My favorite memory would have to be getting LK down. It took alot of hard work and the feeling when he was 1% before the last phase was great.
