My favorite WoW moment was logging off in Orgrimmar on the night of the pre-Cata patch. I took a few last-minute screenshots of Thrall's Orgrimmar, I killed Gamon one last time while I still could, and then I logged off at the last possible moment to let Deathwing do his thing.
Among my favorite memories from WoW, one of the best was the Hillsbrad Brawls back before BGs. Tons of people from both factions would come out and it would be a massive shoving content between Tarren Mill and Southshore. Somehow PvP felt more meaningful when your actual town was on the line, rather than having to wait one more BG to get your new pants.
My favorite memory is when we 40 man thunder bluff not because we won because of what happened we where all going up the lift to get into thunder bluff and in the middle of us was a little low level shaman who was non pvp at the time in the middle of us we did not see him at the time as there was so many of us but as we get higher we all turned pvp suddenly bang the shaman thunder stormed us all off nearly the whole group died only a few men managed to resist it but that little shaman made the whole group fail as all the horde managed to get there in time """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""" _________. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ------- __ """|""_______|________""<<<< )"""""""""""""""""""""/ __"""""""\ ""|""|______|__""__| ""| \<<<<< )_______________/ /O \ """""""\ |_______""|""|""|""|""|__| <<<<<)""""""""""""""""""" | ____"""""""/""______|""|""|""|""|""_""|/<<<<< )""""""""""""""""""" \ V V V/"""""/ "|_________|""|_|""|_|"|_|""<<<< )________________\/\_ / """""/' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' ' '\______/_________________________________________________________________________________________________
My favorite memory in wow was when I obtained the phoenix mount, i couldn't believe that I will win the rolls or even that the mount dropped. Only won the mount for 1 number, but enought to make the phoenix mine.
My favorite memory (so far) is being dropped from a two-person flying mount, over and over and over, by two complete strangers (who became friends!) trying to get the "Drunken Stupor" achievement during Brewfest. We must have spent an hour and a half doing this, trying to get the height just right so that I wouldn't die when they dropped me. By the time we got it right, I was laughing almost too hard to type and my poor character had drunk gallons of alcohol (it seemed like it took forever for the blur to clear!) Those two guys made the whole fest for me and I'll never forget them. They proved to me how nice and helpful some people can be in this game. I didn't ask them to help, they just volunteered. I made two new friends, we all had a good laugh, and I got the achievement. One of them even paid for repairs for my gear. Can't beat that for a Sunday evening on WoW. :-)
My favorite memory was the fishing fountain in Dalaran... Standing 50 people just fishing with those poles a sweet afternoon...Managed to get all the coins :D
The memory of an epic ''save the day'' in a rated Twin Peaks will never be forgotten. As a warlock, playing for the horde, was defending our flag carrier, while several other people were launching an attack to get our flag back. Our flag carrier died first, I picked up the alliance flag immediately and ported away (with the help of my ''Demonic powers'') on the ramp, where my Portal Circle was previously placed. The alliance flag carrier died soon after that, the flag was returned, and I jumped downed capturing the flag and scoring a great victory for us. Everything happened extremly fast, it was like a chain of reflexes.
My favorite World of Warcraft moment was the first time I logged in and saw the game. A friend had suggested I try it and I had never as much as looked over anyone's shoulder so I had no idea what to expect. We made characters, logged in and went to Goldshire. It happened to be Halloween evening and the place was crazy, pumpkins flying everywhere, flames on all the buildings, the Headless Horseman's rant. Needless to say it left quite an impression but I haven't stopped playing since!
I know it's an odd memory, but the memory that sticks out most to me is my first day playing on my first account when WoW came out (which has since been inactive, as I lost the password/username XD) I had made a new one 6 months later though, which is my current one ;DI made a druid. I had no idea what the "at war" box in the rep tab meant. So I checked them for fun.I then went to Moonglade when the bear form quest was prompted, and would constantly die from the NPCs because right clicking them to talk would cause me to attack them and they'd kill me. No one knew how to fix it, so eventually, I got sick of it after going another 10 levels til 20 without Bear form, and deleted the character, and quit. However, from that, I made this account, where I decided to roll on a PvE realm rather than PvP, which pretty much made me love this game. I remember trying to level in Darkshore as that druid and accidentally going into Ashenvale/Barrens, then boom, dead. Looking back on it, it was pretty obvious that I caused it, but being a new player, I had no idea what the At War box did, and if I didn't know about the Bloodsail title, I doubt I would nowadays. XDIt may not be the "happiest" memory, but if you can't look back into the past and laugh, then what is life about?
Well, I already knew the answer without even thinking. My favorite memory would be win I first started playing WoW. I was a young beginner, new to the MMORPG experience. Unfortunately I didn't know much and quested my low lvl without knowing how to turn the camera. It took me a week to figure it out so I played the game for an entire week with the camera angle facing down. Do you even know how stressful it was to do that?Slapped my head since it was so simple, but was so happy because I thought thats how the game was suppose to be played.
The best moment i had in wow was when i first killed ragneros and the quest item dropped for the thunderfury.
I was doing the 5man Forge of Souls about a year ago. My group was on the last boss Devourer of Souls. (He can be a little stinker sometimes) So the healer gets killed at 70% of its health. Tank dies at between 45-55%. Us three DPS are scared out of our minds but we keep attacking. Next DPS dies at 30%. My adrenaline is pumping hard.... The last DPS and I are trying everything in our spellbooks to survive. He dies at about 15% or so. I *GULP* shoot off everything I got, pop a health potion. Shoot my Kill Shot. It has 4% health hits me I almost die. Use disengage miraculously manage to pull off another decent shot and BAM boss goes down. EVERYONE! CHEERS!The rest of the group didn't care that they died because it was so entertaining and fun to watch. Those were some good times haha ^_^
I could tell you about the time "we were prepared" and Illidan Stormrage fell, and I was chosen to receive the coveted legendary, Warglaive of Azzinoth. Or perhaps the time I won the Fishing Contest, that was completely Horde dominated, yet my friends and I out smarted them. (Silly trolls) Or the laundry list of achievements that I completed before they were tracked so neatly, including the best-by-far quest chain, obtaining and building The Scepter of the Shifting Sands. Although these memories are some of my favorites and with them created great friendships, my favorite memories would have to be finding all of the absolutely genius comedic references and creative hidden quirks that makes questing at the wee hours of the morning so much fun. The laughter that ensues from a 3 day LAN release party is by far more epic then the pixels that created them. ~badrogue
My favorite memory of WoW was of an Alterac Valley many years ago on my very first character. It was during Burning Crusade. I, a tauren protection warrior, had no true gear to speak of, just some heroic blues and Kara epics, none of the fancy PvP gear others had. Well, being that this was before the Reinforcements patch, we come into this story with the game at a deadlock. Horde had Alliance on the run, backed them into a corner at Dun Baldar, but sadly, Horde doesnt know how to cross a bridge (something that sadly remains true to this day.) After about 20 minutes of us running to our deaths, I asked a similarly despirate resto druid to aid me on a final charge to victory. He and I both mounted, and I ran in first, past the corpse ridden melee in the center of the bridge, dropping my AoE fear right in the pack of casters and ranged. I turned to the first priest I saw and stunned him, then turned to one that was casting and shield bashed him. Upon seeing my bold maneuver, they all moved back, attempting to get away, allowing the Horde offensive to move in more. I repeated this unwaivering march to the Aid Station, the druid using every trick up his sleeve to keep me alive. Eventually, upon reaching the flag itself, I was brought down, but by this time, enough Horde had followed my lead to overtake the Alliance, taking the Aid Station, and inevidably winning the game.T'was the most epic thing I've ever seen.
My favorite WoW memory would have to be fishing. One week in last summer, I had a friend at my house. It was the summer after our senior year of high school and we had nothing better to do until college started. He came over and we just started fishing on our 80's on adjacent computers. We started at level 1, and fished for five days straight (The Dalaran Fountain achievements took us two days alone) and we ended up both getting our Salty titles, though I had to wait until the following week to win the STV Fishing Tournament. Definitely my fondest memory of Warcraft. We still talk about it occasionally to this day.
