My favorite memory had to be when I got my first level 70! Took about a year. :( ( Yeah, I know.. TOOK FOREVER. ) Also downing my first raid which was Karazhan, and getting soooo much gear and just looking SICK.
When I was really new to the game I went into the Twilight Grove in Duskwood at level 14 and tried to solo the Dragon there.
My favorite memory of WoW is during Love is in the Air in '09, my fried was new to the game and didn't know about events so I spent the entire day with her in Stormwind and even had a lovely picnic in the Park, it still saddens me that the Park doesn't exist anymore, I also gave her a lovely black dress and towards the end of the day we went to the Amberstill Ranch and star-gazed and I chased down the vendor and bought her a snowshoe rabbit. It was a very great day and she said she had an awesome time and I did as well.
My favorite wow memory would have to be when my shaman got stuck on the gunship in ICC and wiped my group after glitching inside it from the jetpacks. My raid team raged up but half of them were laughing in the background until someone's kid screeched into the mic. I think we all went deaf momentarily. Or even how hard I laughed at myself the first time I stepped into a raid. "What? Vent... No.. What's an addon?" at least my coworkers were the ones that were laughing at me in raid.
For me it had to be getting my "What a Long Strange Trip It's Been" achievement. When I started WoW, my roommate had already played for a couple of years. After much back and forth, he finally convinced me to try the 10 day trial. I was hooked! I started WoW just before Brewfest in 2009. I was so excited when I saw I could get a Violet Proto Drake that I said then and there I would complete every achievement to get it within one years time. Unfortunately, I did not make level 80 before Brewfest was over so I was unable to complete that achievement, but even through my crazy (real life) work schedule and travels, I would take my laptop and log in just to do the specific achievements I needed. Happily in Oct. 2010, I got my mount! Needless to say, along the way, I had many "strange" encounters and it was a long and arduous journey - but I got my reward and proudly display it when flying around Azeroth! Cheers to 5 years of Wowhead... it certainly has been a long and strange trip, hasnt it?
My favorite WoW memory, my husband, son and I were fighting mobs in STV, gaming as a family, our first purple epic drops. It was the Icemail Jerkin. To this day, we still smile and laugh about that first epic loot.
It has to be the first time I entered Warsong gulch > I was terrified ! died sooo many times but now I just love it !
When I forst started playing. I remember being amazed by the night elf starting zone and being even more amazed by the fact that the whole zone is on top of a giant tree. The only other moment that comes to mind is the first time I tried healing. I just loved how different it was from dpsing.
My favorite time in Azeroth was leveling my first toon. Being so fresh to the game and not knowing the mechanics made for some really exciting times when I first started. Leveling took a lot longer then and we didn't have "refer-a-friend" like we do now. I had a quest buddy who was more familiar with the game and we quested together. Fun times. =)
