My favorite memory has to be when I got my fast flight training back in BC and got my nether drake before the rest of my guild.I am most looking forward to the amazing looking rares Blizzard has made for Firelands.
Finally getting the toon i had ignored for years to the lvl cap. :)
I'm a bit older than the average player's age and I play PVE style: quests, dungeons and raids in about that order. My main is still my hunter but I've worked several class toons into the 50's and above, and even have my druid capped at 85, working archaeology (still looking for that special Canopic jar if you know what I mean ;), and Tol Barad for gear and mounts. Back when Wintergrasp was the going battleground for players like me who wanted some BOA gear for their alts, I found my huntard had issues breaking stun locks from sneaky Horde rogues and died alot while face rolling the keyboard. So, I decided to fight fire with fire and roll a rogue toon Night Elf to learn the play style of my nemeses. I geared her exclusively in pvp gear, talent tree selected for pvp, and tried to level up mostly in battlegrounds, which didn't quite work out since I still did alot of questing and dungeons. Learning a new class and play style simultaneously were "challenging" for me. My favorite moment in the game has to be while struggling to get kills in warsong gulch. I was cloaked in 'stealth' over by the broken wagon dusting myself off, bleeding and sore from my prior roll in the dirt at the hands of several horde, when I caught a lone warlock riding past on his way back into the fray. 'Take this you vile horde scum! I began my rotation that usually got broken by twinks and players with lots of BOA gear. To my amazement, I got my very first solo kill and before he even got dismounted! Woot! How-why, oh, crap here they come...where's my vanish key! $&^%$#($%*#!
I would have to say that my favorite memory in wow was in one of the first patches getting ready for Cataclysm, I was impatient about playing and only let it download a little before I logged on eagar to play. However since the patch was still raw and red I ended up completely phased from the entire server. Everywhere was empty. No players, no NPCs. Nothing. I was complete alone. I finally left the game and let the patch finish and my entire guild held an RP party in celebration of my return from the Emerald Dream and it was an amazing experience almost felt real.
My favorite moment in WoW is every time i start the game for raids or other things and when i play with my friends. It's the way i view the game, a good time playing with my friends, have a laugh and kill stuff for no reason at all. Here's to another 5 or more years of Wowhead, keep up the good job!
My best memories hail back in classic when I turned 60 and joined my very first raiding guild!Reading tactics and joining events such as Zul'gurub the first time truly were an exceptional feeling that carried with for many years. It may have been a virtual world, but with a scoot of imagination and a friendly guild, even the virtual can be something you carry with you for many times.Allthough I felt proud after downing Hakkar for the first time, it was with Molten Core where ^&*! got serious, being part of 40men and women battling for hours against the many enjoyable bosses such as Magmadar, Garr, Baron Geddon, Majordomo and last but by far not the least, Ragnaros. - The first time I gazed upon his visage it felt truly felt like you were about to fight a being of which power is beyond understanding. After many attempts and lots of sweat, we managed to bring him down and our vent released a thunderous amount of cheers and laughs. It was an accomplishment you enjoyed being part off.Then... We moved on to BWL, where we had to face off with our biggest challenge yet --- Razorgore the Untamed.Eitherway, these was my fondest memories. Not very special, but I'm sure anyone who did this at their current endgames understand what I mean when I say it truly was a great feeling to raid these raids and kill these bosses.
First off, Happy Birthday, Wowhead! This place has saved my sanity so many times.I have a boatload of awesome WoW memories, but my absolute favorite happened during Lich King. My guildmates and I would get together on the weekends at the guildmaster’s house and hang out, all sitting in his man-cave on his computers or ours that we’d brought, to chain Lich King Heroics or Battlegrounds. We’d take one or two five-man groups and gear up mains or alts, and then on breaks farm some honor from Alterac Valley – we ran it so much we even got to know some of the people on the opposing faction by name. Getting my full Deadly set was much more fun and rewarding fighting with people who knew the place and winning more battles than with completely random pugs. The guild is now defunct, and only two of us still even play at all – but I still think fondly of those times when we didn’t need vent because we were all right there, /grats ing and /lo ling and eating junk food together.
My favorite moment in WoW was the first time I mounted on my Dreadsteed. It took me what seemed like forever to complete the chain, and I was seriously proud of my new epic mount. Its still my favorite ground mount in the game, and the quest chain was pretty epic. I am still sad they removed the chain, I would have gladly done it again on my warlock on a different server =)
I can still remember our first guild Ragnaros kill with our entire guild in a smattering of tier pieces, and fire resist gear. Never before, and never again has there been such a cheer on our vent server as when we first felled the Fire Lord. I'm not sure, but I think I even heard some crying, although none ever fessed up to that. After months of hard work we'd finally done it. We'd saved Azeroth, and were true heroes of the horde. No other boss has ever brought me such amazing memories as the good ol' Fire Lord, and that's my best memory from wow.
One of the best senses of accomplishment I have reached, and by far most memerable. The moment I was finally able to meet face-to-face with my 2 year advasary. The Time-Lost Proto Drake. Just recently after over 2 years of searching, departing for my deployments in the United States military, and sleepless nights, I was able to attain what I had been hunting for. Coincadently this encounter became one of my soul motives to achieve in this game. And with little time to play WoW due to being over seas serving the United States, I FINALLY got her, My all time favorite Drake of all. TLPD what a journey we have been through!
My most anticipated change in Patch 4.2 is being able to /dance in combat. I like to work up a mind game with my opponents to encourage them to fight me a second time. Reoccurring PvP encounters have been less frequent with /lol, /chicken, and /sit as my options. My favorite memory from World of Warcraft is the fun I had at the Auction House before Burning Crusade. Some days I would set ridiculous goals like owning the entire market of Malachite marked up by 1%. When I managed to make a profit, I didn't have to wait to open up the exciting mail and buy a greater share of the market. The instant gratification I was getting made me feel like the Auction House was alive and evolving, and it eventually drew me in to play a more important role than the Malachite Hoarder.
My favorite memory is when thrall was warchief, and not hellscream. The good ol' days
