My best memory of WoW was back when I started and made my first Tauren Hunter and Night Elf Hunter since I couldnt decide which I wanted to play... I ended up playing my Night Elf more than my Tauren and I'm still happy for that choice... Wandering around in Teldrassil shooting arrows and meleeing my opponents while this really relaxing music played in the background, thats something that made me stay and play this game, occasionally I will either make a new character or just travel to the starting area of Night Elfs just to sit there and listen to the music and imagine the "first time" and how I can never actually do it again...And just for the curious souls, I started back in Burning Crusade and not Vanilla nor Wrath...
My Favorite memory would have to be good old Level 39 during the 1st time playing a Warrior back in 09, BG'd so much at that level I racked up about 5k Honourable Kills. Pulling off incredible feats like Suicide Charges and single handedly pushing the opposing team all the way to huddling at their starter grave yard in Arathi Basin. That was the moment I knew what class I'd be playing from then on. Back then it remained tough class to pick up and few rose to the challenge but once you got the feel for it, It was like riding a bike... only difference is that bike had an axe! and plenty of enemy player's heads to cave in!
My favorite memory of wow is the AQ40 opening event, especially the moonglade and the final gate part. Never before I have seen such amounts of players, working together for one goal. I still like looking at the screenshots, and I wrote (german) stories to both events in our servers wiki to share (Moonglade, AQ-Gate). Event if you don´t understand german, you might like the screenshots.
What is your favorite memory from World of Warcraft and why? There's so many! Decision is futile!Back on topic: my favorite memory from Wow didn't happen in game.I was walking around the mall in my Celphi shirt. This girl comes up and says "I hate you" and I replied with a confused expression (I have no clue who this person is). Well, it turns out she's Alli on my mains server and my mage killed her a few dozen times that week in WG. We bs'd about wow for about 20 min in the food court when her BF walks up, she tells him she's busy, he looks at my shirt and says "whatever, I'll be back in an hour, da__ gamers". Half hour later, we traded phone numbers and email addresses. We talk quite often out of game, but she still gets taken out when I see her flagged.Wow: $15 a monthMain on Tshirt: $20Making RL friends unexpectedly: Priceless
My favorite memory was from when I first started playing, I was swimming in the water inside the Night Elf starting zone, when suddenly I saw yellow text saying "Discovered: Teldrassil." I was so confused about what happened, I spent the next half hour looking through my bags, trying to find this mysterious Teldrassil... I still cherish that (ever so long) half hour, because it was the beginning of set of amazing adventures. :)
My best monent i WOW, i have had many very good monents playing this game, killing my first dungeon boss on my warrior who was my first caracter, getting my albino drakemount, the first time i entered a raid, and completet it that was a huge moment, i got a chill like feeling when the raid boss vent down, but after a long thought i do belive the best monent i have ever had was when i logged on my warrior one day and saw i had got a mail, i went for the mail box and saw that i was from one of my husbands carakters, i thougth hmm what could that be, and to my supprice it was a red rose, i looked at my husband who was sitting next to me, he smiled at me and said that is for beeing who you are, ever since that day where i got my rose it has been in my bag with me all over the world of WOW and every time i look at it in my bag i remember all the good times i have had on the way in this game.
Hmmm... so many to choose from. I think my favorite memory would have to be the Pre-LK scourge invasion event. This was just massive fun with a group of friends and other like minded random people on the server, yes it may have annoyed many people, but just the idea of spreading a massive plague across the world was pretty amazing. The groups that were formed to try and contaminate Stormwind was great fun no matter what side you were on, even more so if you found one of your "friends" now on the other team trying to either repel you back or even eat your face and cause you to join their ranks to infect the city. While many of these attacks did not get far it was still a great thing that brought the server to life!
My favorite moment in wow has to be exploring the World of Warcraft. seeing that there was always new things to see and just going farther and farther away form your home city not knowing that you had a hearth stone to take you back.
The memory i would pick would have to be the night me and my guild celebrated my new mount the amani war bear. We went and entered tons of BG's that night. We got into an AV and i saw this mage riding the exact mount i was. So i made a macro that yelled out "BEAR MOUNT!" and when ever i saw her i spammed that macro. Me and my guildies in vent were just laughing and having a good time. We killed this poor gnome countless times. We think she even caught on, because the gnome ended up switching mounts every time she tried to get by. But no one can escape the AMANI WAR BEAR and its MACRO! It was a hell of a good time and one of the greatest nights Ive spent playing WoW. Will never forget it.
My favorite memory was doing ZA timed run in a pug today, there's still hope of good pugs! Gets me teary every time.
Happy Birthday, Wowhead!Favorite is just too hard. One of my favorite memories was completing Veteran of the Wrathgate and The Battle For The Undercity. A fairly long and involved questline (my favorite) culminating in one of Blizzard's in-game cinematics was amazing to behold. Varimathras' betrayal and attempted coup, and getting to be a part of the force to reclaim Undercity was icing on the cake (the non-lying kind).
My favorite WoW memory has got to be the first time I killed Heroic Murmur on my shadowpriest back in BC. Before we even started raiding Karazhan a few guildies and I decided to tackle Heroic Shadow Labyrinth, arguable the hardest dungeon of the whole expansion. None of us had done it on heroic before and had only limited experience on normal. We struggled with each trash pull, and it was in this dungeon I fell in love with the Mind Control spell, I could MC one mob and use it to tank 1-2 others, a strategy I would use in every heroic from then on. After over 4 hours and countless wipes we managed to down the sound lord, who even dropped a rare tailoring pattern for me upon death. It felt like an even bigger accomplishment than when we killed Ragnaros for the first time.
My favorite memory of WoW was when my boyfriend came to the server, It was right before ICC came out and I was pretty much fully ToC geard(246), so my gearscore was only about 5400 at the time, not very good but to him an awe inspiring moment. He said to me "OMG you're SOOOOOO geared" and I thought to myself "Not really.....what have you been doing on your old server?" As time progressed I helped him become more and mroe geared until we were both 264's, I helped him adjust his speccing, rotation, and general Idea of how to better himself in the game. I've never felt more accomplished on WoW and it's my greatest memory I think I will EVER have of WoW, definatly something I will NEVER forget.
