This undermines a core game idea, dilutes the feel of cloth and leather wearing classes, makes gear design more difficult for devs and gives us access to gear we don't want anyway (Spirit).
If Warlocks need increased survivability then this will be achieved via something other than increased armour from leather gear.
If Fel or Demon Armour are too weak then why not buff them? If they're not too weak then why introduce an overpowered ability?

Ooo oo. I have ideas!
Fel Armor: Increases spell power by 10% and causes single-target spells to heal the caster for 3% of the damage dealt.
Demon Armor: Reduces physical damage taken by 10%. In addition, healing effects on the Warlock are increased by 20%.

I'm currently trying to think of a filler for Warlocks (either Demo or Afflict, Afflict being the more likely).
It's amazing really...I feel Warlocks, as is, aren't too badly designed. That doesn't mean the designs don't need improvement, but beyond potentially lacking mobility, I see no extremely severe flaws (i.e. lack of survivability to the nth degree)

How bout demo warlocks can be like a support tank also Blizzard should add new roles for people in raids and dungeons
Nah. I feel that wouldn't be the best idea for now...
If that happens, it should occur when multiple classes get overhauls (role-wise).

Soulburn: Chaos Bolt
Empowers your next Chaos Bolt so that it penetrates through all immunities, shattering them and leaving your target trembling in Horror for (X) Seconds.
Horror with 45sec CD sounds pretty OP, but that shattering is actually quite interesting. It doesn't need to deal any damage through immunity, only shattering it. And if it doesn't shatter any immunities it could, let's say, deal more damage or leave +% magical damage taken debuff? (Horribly similar with Shattering Throw, but interesting thought after all.)

I think Demon Armor could indeed be something like
. Though I haven't checked how much that 2345 armor reduces phy dmg taken. Anyhow presenting that dmg taken in percentage form looks bit.. tidier to me.

Now for my ideas:
Soul Burn is cool, but I find its uses too limited. My demon rarely dies, and even if it does die, I have Demonic Rebirth. So about the only thing I use SB for is SB: Healthstone. That's 'bout it. I wish that it had some damage increasing effects (Not counting minor increases: SB: DL, SB: SF. It would be silly to consider as damage bonus imo). I can't figure any ways to achieve this. Yes, you can call me unimaginative if you want. Anyways I leave planning for people with more understanding and creativity and stuff like that.

Instant Fear sounds fun, it could enhance PvP a bit. But it would change Soul Burn into Presence of Mind -copy. Though I'd welcome that change despite that.
Again, another posted while I'm writing... How annoying.
Well how bout its not soulbound
It would return quite a bit mana. That does change (slightly) other classes' mana gains, probably (slightly) increasing their DPS compared to locks. Including mages. I don't want that.
In other words, I don't think that's needed, casters have nearly unlimited mana pool and healers have mana potions if needed, and they should be struggling with mana a bit anyways.

1. Fire ward would make no sense really, why would you even want blizzard to make that when there is so much more that really needs to get fixed.

Interest's idea actually make sense.
Soulburn: Chaos Bolt
Drop the horror effect and it wouldn't be to bad. Or like stated, just remove the immunity, however adding a debuff on top of that would mean we would bring a short CD to a boss fight that would be unique and quite powerful at that. So that could never happen without giving it to other classes as well.
Soulburn: Haunt
Why would you even want this? It serves no purpose other then you thinking its cool.
Soulburn: Metamorphosis
Actually not that bad of an idea.
