1. Fire ward would make no sense really, why would you even want blizzard to make that when there is so much more that really needs to get fixed.
2. Lol leather? Why not go ahead and ask for mail (cuz plate might be a little op)

You have clearly no idea how game balance works do you?
Interest's idea actually make sense.
Soulburn: Chaos Bolt
Drop the horror effect and it wouldn't be to bad. Or like stated, just remove the immunity, however adding a debuff on top of that would mean we would bring a short CD to a boss fight that would be unique and quite powerful at that. So that could never happen without giving it to other classes as well.
Soulburn: Haunt
Why would you even want this? It serves no purpose other then you thinking its cool.

I'm against this for the reason that lining up those two cooldowns could end up being a !@#$%.
Btw, I have an idea:
Glyph of Soul Extraction:
(Major Glyph)
Whenever you deal damage with a direct damage single target spell, you have a 2% chance to instantly generate a Soul Shard. Whenever you deal periodic damage, you have a 1% chance to instantly generate a Soul Shard.
Reason: So there isn't a major discrepancy between fights with adds/multiple targets and fights without em.

Soulburn: Hand of Gul'dan
Instantly resets the cooldown on Hand of Gul'dan, makes it instant, and causes it to refresh Corruption. (A talent will make Hand of Gul'dan instant through this Soulburn effect).

Soulburn + Chaos Bolt - Chaos Bolt leaves a trail, with a curse associated to it, and all targets standing in the trail take an additional 25% damage and 25% critical chance increase (against him) (dont stand in the fire thing)
I like the idea of it leaving a trail. A little small and too easily avoidable, though. Maybe, it places a stacking dot that deals damage and slows them by 30% for 5 seconds. It stacks higher the longer they stand in the trail.
As for dispel protection, I would like to see a dispel make our immolate instant, cost no mana, and not trigger a global cooldown. Also causes your next conflag to do 25% more damage.
Or just takes conflag off cd and allows it to be used on any target whether immolate is on it or not. It also causes immolate to be applied to the damaged target.

Immolate dispel protection : Everytime immolate is dispelled, the targe is hit with a critical conflagrate (but doesn't proc backdraft and doesn't trigger cooldown)
Once again this would upset to balance in a horrible way. Fights are balanced around huge abilities like bloodlust, and this would make another one. They already had to give BL to other classes, introducing this would mean more classes would need to be able to apply that debuff and fights would have to be designed about it.
The slowing effect Meldoron suggested wouldn't, as mobs can be made immune to snares.

Warlock damage compared to other damage is already pretty high (

for example) so yes that would still be bad.

Hope you don't forget that we're talking about destro. Affliction is 4th on that list, destruction is 9th. But true, it could be worse than that...

Cooldown resets upon activating? Would not make any sense.
Possible to reset the cooldown when activating ability that's on cooldown? I've no idea.

Not every spec can be at the top ;) 9 out of 22 is pretty good.
Destro also has more utility then the other warlock specs.

how bout a spell called Nether Immolate where it does fire and shadow dmg
So that if you get interrupted you can't cast at all. And so that more types of resistance/wards/etc absorb the damage?

When you use Soulburn, the cooldown is reset. Maybe that part should be within a talent instead...

Mentioning an afflict cooldown, so I gave it about 10 minutes of thought and came up with this...
Pact with the dark (or whatever) - The warlocks kneels down and goes into a trance, meditating on his target's soul. The warlock's damage over time spells on the target tick 3 times faster with the same duration and have dispel immunity. During this time, the warlock has a shield that absorbs 20k damage, but the warlock cannot move, cast spells, or receive healing. The spell lasts for 10 seconds or until the shield is broken. Cannot be cancelled.
What do you think? It is kind of unique and of course the numbers can be changed to balance appropriately.
