...as such, I'm exercising my right not to play itttttt
I'll have to agree with some of the things he's saying, he brings up some very good points.

Hey at least he is quitting cause he is fed up with it; rather then people who are still complaining about the game, but keep paying Blizzard.
To be fair, there are a hell of a lot of flaws with WoW, and pointing them out but still playing the game for other reasons is completely justifiable. I've quit WoW because I'm bored, the community spirit as a whole seems dead on the servers I've played on for a prolonged period of time (everything has become more insular, particularly with guilds; partially due to the perks system pressuring against newly formed guilds) but I still enjoyed healing, even with all of its flaws. It's just a matter of balancing up your positives with the game, and your negatives, and seeing which outweigh the other.

I agree I do; well, I'm not giving up the game but still, all those people who keep complaining time and time again about how much they hate the game, but they keep on playing even as they continued to say how much they hate it...just makes me giggle and wish Blizzard more luck on taking the money of sheep.

The thing is though, that many of the players who do so feel, in some cases, obligated to playing. For example, I think this point was raised in another topic, but if you view WoW as a forum for social interaction, going cold-turkey would kill those relationships. Furthermore, raiders feel obliged to play their part and help the community they've been helping to thrive for however long. But the main thing is that they often over-exaggerate their true feelings, and in the cases that they aren't, there must be a reason. Customer loyalty, potentially addiction, whatever. Additionally, let's be honest, many of them are trolls or baiting trolls. :P

Exactly, I don't think it's childish to stop paying for a service you're not happy with.
Wholeheartedly agree. It's not really childish at all to stop spending money on something that is no longer entertaining for you.
To be honest I've never watched the guy, but kudos to him for quitting when he's no longer having fun.

The biggest problem with BC content was that it was unaccessible for most. Which is why they shifted. However, I don't see anyone having problems with the sheer amount of content BC had, which is what I find people enjoyed.
I'd have to say that BC content was by far my most enjoyable time in game. One of the contributing factors was simply because I felt a sense of accomplishment when my guild and I stepped into a raid like BT and downed bosses, not a sense of entitlement.
With raids in Wrath and more so in Cata, it feels like Blizzard is just giving everyone the opportunity to down new content with out having to earn it. I get why they want more people to experience the content they provide, I just don't think they go about it in the right way.

I never had heard of this person nor seen any of his videos, but he pretty much parallel my thoughts and post. He represents the dieing voices of those players who loved BC type contents and raiding.

However, I don't see anyone having problems with the sheer amount of content BC had, which is what I find people enjoyed. I mean, you had a TON of repgrinds to do, and you could do them however you wanted.
Raid-wise, I can't say, but in terms of sheer content at max level, anyone who was stuck soloing had something to do. In Cata, it's not the case - some of the repgrinds barely have dailies (I'm looking at you, Ramhaken) and you're better off championing in dungeons. Between dungeons and PvP, if you just want to chill and do something, you're stuck going back to WotLK or BC content, which, well, isn't going to help out your character any. Even the profession grind isn't that fun because it's really just "grind to 525". There's nothing to "improve" your profession further like there was back then.
Without question.

Quitting over it though, does seem a bit childish
"This company has not given me a service tailored enough to my requirements, and there are other competing companies who may be better able to do that. I don't want to seem childish, though, so I'll just keep spending my money with Company A even though I have no interest in using their services any more."
Yeah. Because that makes sense.
I agree that he has all right and reasoning to quit because they aren't providing him the service he requires to satisfy him. But does that mean people should quit because their favorite character class is on the bottom of the ladder in DPS or HPS? By his reasoning they should...
He's quitting because content is being nerfed so a larger percentage of the wow population can experience it and he feels like this is making the community as a whole worse off. I don't recall him mentioning anything about not enjoying the content he was playing.

This guy is a joke. He laughs @ others for crying over a nerf... look who ended up crying. I used to be one of his biggest fans, but... not any more.
“You either die a WoW player or you live long enough to see yourself become a Rift player.”
This made me laugh.
I guess he would rather have a zone-wide buff like ICC or have everyone be decked out in the highest level epics all the time instead of nerfing the content...

I actually like him because he hasn't given in to his popularity. His views are the same as they were in the beginning.
I like it that he shows so little bias between games.

Idk it seems like since he got popular he got a little full of himself. Like if you ever read his youtube comments he gets so pissy anytime anybody critisizes one of his videos.
