I'm... I'm not sure what the point of this thread actually was, to be quite honest here. I mean, thank you for describing your experience with some of our less than wise cohorts, but was there a point here?
Also, I like to follow the same rule: You pull it, you tank it.
An even better rule I've decided to start following as the healer: You run like a squishy and I'm going to let you die like a squishy.
If I have to chase your ass around to be able to heal you (and you are the tank), you're too much work and I can just as easily find a tank who will sit still and tank like a human being.
It's a discussion. We only give experiences to illustrate our points. We talk about how to act properly in dungeons, like you did yourself.
I would like to hear you clarify the statement about squishies. So if they take damage, you let them die? Half the time, it isn't their fault. We have huge AoE damage going on in cataclysm dungeons, and in lower level dungeons, tanks suck at keeping threat in 9 out of 10 of the dungeons I enter. Granted, that's anecdotal evidence, but I know I would never let a dps die because the tank can't do his job properly.
Your post also prove you haven't tanked seriously. Stand still? Yeah, it is annoying when you have to chase down the tank, and if you have to chase down a dps, I will only even attempt this if the tank is doing fine with whatever instants I can muster. But a lot of fights requires movement. There is a reason why people use movement speed enchants/gems/talents.

My bad. I was talking about an experience in low level SFK the other day, where the tank would pull a mob and run around up and down the stairs, breaking LoS. And, being the healer, it pissed me off, especially because the only heal I have as a level 17 Shaman is Earth Shield or Healing Wave. Shield does fine, but if the tank gets hit by a spike, having to run to try to get him in some spot where he's not behind a wall, only to have him run behind another wall, is not worth the effort required to heal him, and I'd rather just heal a dps who'll sit still after he's dead.
I've actually been maining a tank in heroics lately, which is the most serious I've ever done as far as tanking. But at the low level above, there's no reason to be running around so much, and even on boss fights there's plenty of room to not break LoS.
Also, "flee like a squishy, die like a squishy" is meant toward the tank. If he's running away from the mob he's pulled as if he were a squishy, I'm going to let the mob murder him as if he were a squishy.
In terms of LoS, that is always the tanks duty to take care of. I would never blame a healer for losing LoS when tanking. The healer should obviously help, but running around corners, or up stairs, is always bad. I know why, because it can help break LoS from caster enemies, but if that simply leads to breaking LoS from the healer, it defeats its own purpose.
As I stated previously, tanks who just rush forward in true Leeroy Jenkins style, expecting the healer to keep up with him, deserves to get himself killed. Sadly, in high level dungeons, this almost always means the rest of the team dies as well. *shake head* It's sad to see tanks complain about others, when they themselves are equally bad, or worse than those they complain about.

I started and deleted 2 snarky responses after it dawned on me that the problem is simply this: a great many LFGers must have had the comment "Does not play well with others" on their kindergarten report card, and it's been downhill for them ever since.
