What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been. Finally completed this achievement a week ago, took me almost 3 years to complete this achievement.

My favorite achievement and the one that makes me the most proud is one and the same, Veteran of the Shifting Sands. As sad as I was when I heard they were removing the AQ40 quest line, I was just as thrilled to hear about the Feat of Strength that would go along with it. This was one of those achievements that was just awesome to do the entire way through, because not only was the lore terrific, you could only do it with other people. It made me really happy being able to do something I really enjoyed with all the people that I enjoy. While doing the entire chain was a huge investment, I personally think it was worth every minute and piece of gold. It let you explore a lot of the game that you probably wouldn't otherwise, including areas and NPCs. Finally to getting figure out what that one random NPC you saw a year and half ago does always excited me; I'd always wonder, "what on Earth could this 'Spirit of Azuregos' be for?" And once I finally found out you had to make him a fishing lure to fish out a giant shark to get the Blue Scepter Shard that it had for lunch, I thought, "oh, of course! What else would Azuregos be for!"I loved this quest chain. I loved that it was a server-wide, game-wide event that everyone knew about, and everyone wanted to be a part of. I loved that it was epic and full of lore. I loved that it gave you a very stylish turban as a quest reward, Gnomish Turban of Psychic Might. There is no achievement I'm more proud of having on any of my characters than this, and I hope others feel the same way that I do. Thank you Blizzard for the amazing quest line, and I cannot wait to see another just like it!
Mine would definitely be Can I Keep Him? and Traveler's Tundra Mammoth which surprisingly enough, they tie together very intimately for me.On my second day of playing WoW, years ago, I realized that you could have little companion pets and I was absolutely overjoyed. However, I didn't know about Wowhead yet, and I was new, so I had no idea where to go to get a pet. I tried asking in general chat for awhile, and didn't get any answers. If I saw someone while questing/running around, I would ask. I even tried trade chat once. But I was constantly met with either silence or laughs. Eventually, I ran across a max level in the starting area who had the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth. I had never seen a mammoth in game obviously and I was shocked and impressed. I nervously asked him as politely as possible if he knew where I could find a companion pet, and to my surprise he said Yes and actually invited me to sit with him on his mount. This was pretty much the best thing in the world for newbie me, and he quickly took me to a pet vendor while protecting me from the mobs I aggroed while sitting on his mount (I felt really bad about that). Once we got there, I quickly realized I didn't have the gold to buy myself a pet and knowing this, he traded with me and gave me 5 gold. The most I had had before that was 2 silver so I felt like the richest Night Elf in the game. I was very happy to get myself a pet, and even more so when I got the achievement for it. I added my newly-made friend to my friends list (after he told me how to), and he remained my friend as I slowly leveled up, saying jokingly to him that I was determined to get a mammoth for myself so I could take him places.A long time passed. I found myself at level 80 with a great guild, too many companion pets (I still use my first one to this day), and finally, after months of work, the Mammoth... Unfortunately, it had taken me so long that my friend no longer played.. In his memory though, I still sometimes venture out to a lowbie zone and offer free rides for low level characters, taking them on a journey for their first companion.
The achievement that I am most proud of is probably my Swift Razzashi Raptor. I spent a couple years trying to get groups for this here and there after we were done with it as content and never saw a mount drop. I got into the habit of farming for the mounts with a friend at 70 and then again at 80 I would go solo. It was 4 months of soloing before I saw my first mount, the tiger. I thought that wasn't so bad and kept going, also soloing on my warrior, shaman, and DK every 3 days. In the end I grinded for the entirety of WoTLK, almost up to the last week before seeing another mount, luckily it was the Raptor on my paladin, who is my main. I was overjoyed, and love the mount dearly, the feeling I felt when I got was indescribable.
I'm most proud of Did Somebody Order a Knuckle Sandwich? because taking off my healing weapon and then meleeing a boss (before we wiped) was how I leveled it.
My favorite achiev is not one i completed but one i was a part of and that was when my gf got both bracers out of molton core one night while duoing it and the adventure of making it and completing it is just well done and such a cool story. Best ever. My acheivment that i liked for myself was the jousting achievment in mount hyjal because it reminded me of playing my old atari rockin joust out XD
On Wings of Nether is my favorite achievement. It had the booterang, which is the best item ever, and it also gets you the awesome netherwing drake mounts.
My vanilla collector pet achieves, not many people can get those, and I get it with every toon! ^_^
My favorite achievement is the Insane in the Membrane one for obvious reason.
