It has to be Going Down?.The very day patch 3.0 was released together with the achievement system. Watching my entire guild in Shattrath, flying up and down and most of them eventually killing themselves in the process -- just to earn that very first achievement. Made me wonder what this new achievement system would do to the game. Me? I just bubbled my way past this one!But Lo and behold! Here I am three years later yearning to kill myself while being Stood in the Fire!
Would definitely have to be, It's Over Nine Thousand!, hundreds of hours played for this. And it is so worth it.

The achievement for 100 mounts "Mountain o' mounts" took multiple rep grinds, gold, and some lucky drops but very worth the effort and still collecting more.
This, clearly. Proudest day of my life when my first character got that.
A Long Strange Trip - working on it a second time on an alt after taking a year off from doing it on my main is making me remember just how hard parts of it are (I'm looking right at you, School of Hard Knocks!)Amgrod
When i saw this thread i literally jumped for joy. Achievements became a huge obsession of mine when they were first launched, and still remain my favorite aspect of the game. Having amassed all of the holiday achievements for my violet proto, getting the Undying achievement and that SWEET SWEET title for my lock..."Survive, the Undying" <---i dont think you could pick a more fitting title tbh =), being the first person on my realm to become "master of Isle of Conquest" and get that sweet tabard, to getting my frostwyrm from Glory of the Icecrown Raider, and finally getting my "Over 9000" FoS, i'd still have to say that winning the Booty Bay fishing contest and finally completing "Master Angler of Stranglethorn" and being able to call myself "Salty Survive" is probably my favorite. Hook of the Master Angler is probably one of the most awesome items in game. And i posses it. I remember the very day I did the fishing contest, it was only my 2nd attempt at it. I arrived in BB with my bags emptied except for various water walking pots, as well as pvp related potions and fishing mats. My trusty jeweled fishing pole equipped, my best set of pvp gear on, hearth set to BB, i was ready. i had even practiced running from the inn to the NPC beforehand.there was a ton of chatter in gen chat about the contest going on, so i knew a ton of people were also competing against me. I kept quiet, went to the southernmost tip of STV, and started searching for pools. After a few minutes of spam fishing, and luckily no pvp interference, i was doing well. As i began to amass the required amount of fish, my hands were literally shaking, and my adrenaline was pumping. "HOLY CRAP I MIGHT ACTUALLY DO THIS" kept running through my head.In a state of lightheaded, dizzying, anxiousness, i fished my last fish, with my finger paused over my hearth hotkey. OH. MY. GOD. I JUST GOT THE LAST FISH AND NO ONE HAS WON YET.i think i may have punched my hearth hotkey, and with shaking hands and sweaty palms, i waited for the loading screen to finish and have my toon appear in the inn. *loads in*while checking chat to make sure no winner had been calledd yet, i blew my speed pots and (if a wow toon could do it) sprinted to the NPC. spamming my mouse buttons to click through, i selected my "Hook of the Master Angler" and completed the quest. AND THERE IT WAS, IN BEAUTIFUL RED LETTERS. "Survive is the Master Angler of Stranglethorn!"OHMYGOD I JUST WON THE FISHING CONTEST!i was so happy i literally almost passed out. i had done it on my second try? and then the whispers began "How'd you do it?" "Whattt?" etc. Apparently, i later found out that another hordie had recruited a group of about 10 people to help him win, and had thought he had it on lock down, thanks to his friends and their mammoth mounts to pool-sit along the western coast of STV. Luckily, little Survive here kept quiet and was able to ninja win. and and i must say, that trinket is probably one of the most awesome items ever. Once i got over the initial rush/shock of winning and actually got my ass back to Dalaran, i promptly dove into the fountain and popped my trinket, and indulged in a nice little flop around in the water. CUTEST. THING. EVAR. so there it is. As an achiev junkie, there have been tons of raid achievements that have gotten me dizzy with happiness upon completing them, but this one is the only one where i truly felt a sense of accomplishment irl.
Menagerie - Can't help it. I'm a companion pet collector. I'm up to 152, and I can't wait until they introduce new tiers and maybe some new pet rewards for completing them!
The Light of Dawn Took a lot a wipes...
I am most proud of my Chef achievement. As someone who doesn't raid and only logs on a bit here and there having the ability to gain an achievement that gives access to a title is pretty awesome. It took dedication and this site to find a lot of the recipes i needed but i managed to get it done.
Mine would problably be Leeeeeeeeeeeeeroy! just because i killed so many guildies doing it. fun.
Veteran of the Shifting Sands is my favorite achievement. A hard and tedious grind, but definitely worth the struggle for the lore and Feat of Strength. Meeting and helping some of the key lore leaders such as Malfurion Stormrage and Tyrande Whisperwind along with many powerful dragons such as Eranikus, Vaelestrasz, Azuregos, and Anachronos make it a very interesting and fun quest line. The grind was quite funny, enjoyable and fulfilling. My favorite part of the quest line was meeting Malfurion Stormrage since you could only meet him twice in game (before The Cataclysm happened). I am a huge Night Elf enthusiast and that particular part was important to me.Thanks to these quests I was able to defeat many of Azeroth's evil villains and take part of the best lore chain in World of Warcraft history.
my favorite achievement is not an actual capital-A-Achievement, but simply having done the full, original (long re-spawn timers, etc.) Hunter Epic Bow questline that began in Molten Core, and having done it when the content was fresh. That remains one of the most difficult, rewarding, and fun things I have done in WoW to date -- and I still always have the epic bow somewhere in my inventory, for RP is nothing else....but to as for official Achievements, I will go with Bane of the Fallen King -- fun, tough, and a great title!
There is no other choice. The Frozen Throne (10 player) is the achievement I am most proud of. I didn't do it until after I hit 85, but I wasn't a raider back in wrath either. The actual achievement isn't what I'm proud of, it was being the last one alive to deliver the killing blow. Our tank disconnected and by the time he came back, most of us were dead and LK was at 13%. As enhance, I off healed the tank as best as I could and he died as we got him to 12%. Popping everything, I was able to take him down to 10% and we beat him. Such a great day. =)
I'm most proud of a friend's achievement I helped him get. Batllemaster. We worked hard to get it together, and it felt good knowing he got something he really wanted, regardless if i got it or not.
