Vashj'ir, Vashj'ir, Vashj'ir. Never have I found a place in Azeroth more suited to zooming around in my aquatic form. I can weave in and out of vast forests of seaweed, hide behind the coral and scare the locals, explore all of the ruins, collect and enjoy the local flora, and even spend time with a demigod if I wish. Sure there are those sssilly naga and lets not forget that giant gloating whale shark, but they can't catch me when I'm in top form!
My favorite is Nagrand. It was refreshing to see a somewhat normal looking zone after HFP and Zangarmarsh. Not to mention all the great orc lore in there and the fact that it was awesome for leveling.
My favorite zone is Nagrand. I loved the quest lines there, especially the continuation of the Hemet Nesingwary quests. Also, it's a very beautiful zone.
I like Twilight Highlands, mainly because it's almost like Nagrand.
My favorite zone has to be Isle of Quel'Danas, since my favorite patch ever has to be the Sunwell patch : I loved checking what progress the dailies were at, guessing with my friends what the next one would be, teaming up to do the dailies, ... . I still see this zone as the first time blizzard changed the way dailies worked and actually made them fun...even though the ogri'la ones were more fun, something...somehow just made those dailies feel very special and important. Magical.
My favourite zone, without question, is Wintergrasp. Everything there is so pristine on the surface: gorgeous glistening white coats every surface, like a winter wonderland. To know that lurking under the surface is a nasty, violent battleground for dominance makes the chill in the air both literal and metaphorical. In a way it echoes the vast untouched perfection of the deserts in real life where so many of our military fights take place. It seems like the worst damage is sometimes done in the quietest places. The duality of it always entrances me. (The tinkling, chimey music doesn't hurt that vibe!)
Personally, I happen to love Duskwood. I loved the spooky atmosphere, and the music totally added to it. The central mountain ridge blocking off the center always puzzled me till my friend explained to me how to get in there. Once I made the trek myself, I was puzzled again, this time what the portal led to. This became one of my favorite spots just to sit and think. Well, one particular day, I head down to my favorite spot to find a nice little dragon there to greet me. Once again, I was puzzled. Another place I loved about Duskwood was the Scarlet Raven Inn. One time, a friend and I had a 5 hour conversation just sitting in there. Good times. :)
Netherstorm. Love the creepy feeling.
I would have to say, New Redridge Mountains, i've always enjoyed questing there. so when the cataclysm hit, i had to rush on over to see what happened to one of my favourites. quickly i leveled up an alt, a worgen rogue, and soon as i hit 15, went to Redridge. i quickly had to pick my jaw up off the floor, the story line of Bravo Co. and John J. Keeshan, was touching, action-packed, and just fun, i had shed a tear for my heroes at the end of the zone, as they were my pals throughout the entire zone. that's my new favourite zone, for sure
Ironforge would be my favorite zone, although I mostly play horde these days nothing seemed to inspire such awe when first playing the game. Furthermore it is lore-wise one of the most impressive cities in the game, following only shadowforge city in size and might. This along with the fact that it has one of the most expansive, and impressive views that a new player can experience with the Great Forge, and the general size and amount of building in it. There is also the fact of it being one of the greatest locations in the game for city pvp, with the number of unoccupied buildings being great, there are plenty of places to hide and lure people into small rooms.
There are so many different zones to choose from wether it be a PVP zone such as Eastern Plaguelands and Wintergrasp, that brough with it a new kind of fun for the weekend pvpers, to a PVE zone with stunning scenery such as Nagrand, the rainy Zangarmarsh, Hyjal and Shimmering Expanse, that brought with it a new dynamic to questing. There are also the amazing dungeon and raid zones that we have had over the years which require us to work as a team and trust in one another to hold agro, do epic dps, or keep us alive. Places such as Ahn'Qiraj, Black Temple, Sunwell, Onyxia's Lair(pre and post Lich King), Naxxramas (also pre and post LK), Ulduar, Blackwings Descent just to name a few of the raids that ranged from 40-60 man back in Vanilla and Burrning Crusade days to the now 10-25 mans normal and Heroic modes; aside from those, to get us ready for raids and for those leasurly players we could always run numerious 5man instances such as Ragefire Chasm starting at lvl10 and up to the newly released level 85 Zul-Aman and Zul-Gurub. Every zone, every area packed with Warcraft lore, stunning creatures, picturesque scenery, unique characters such as Harrison Jones and the ever antagonized Gamon in Orgrimmar. There are some many different things to see and experience whether it be alone or with a group of friends or even in a random pug thrown together thanx to the new redesigned dungeon finding system. Through of all of this...all that Bliz has shown us over the years; my choice for my favorite area was made very simple, thanx to Blackwing and the Cataclysm(and of course some good hard Goblin work), its the only place in all of Azeroth and Outlands that has a beach, a Golf course(Gallywix Pleasure Palace), and a man(Goblin)'s face carved of stone that stands taller than some mountains and BEST OF ALL! its shaped like the Horde symbol....you got it Azshara! "FOR THE HORDE!" :D

I think my favorite Zone would have to be Darnassus. It is quiet and green and I love Big Cats (Shirotora = White Tiger). Stranglethorn Vale is a close second, unfortunately I don't like Trolls (bad ones), one killed my parents in Stranglethorn Vale many years ago. (Ok I don't really role play, but I did make a back story for this Character)
Stormwind City- It's always felt like "home" and with the revamp for Cataclysm, it's just breathtaking. I love it's music, cathedral's hourly bell, the guard's uniforms and the sprawling city layout. I can always find somewhere peaceful to go sit while waiting or a queue, or some new building to explore.
This one would have to go to Outlands Zangarmarsh.
I've thought a lot about this and this is probably the hardest question i could be asked about World of Warcraft. I like 2 particular atmospheres: strange, eerie beauty and pure, untampered wilds. But for the first theres a few very good candidates, the new forest in Blasted Lands, the entirety of Ghostlands, the Temple of Ahn'Quiraj, the Escher-esque halls of Karazhan, the crimson spore fields of the Borean Tunda... however none of them really wins. The latter is something thats basically WoWs strongest feature. Sholazzar and Un'Goro, Grizzly Hills and Winterspring, Hinterlands and Howling Fjord... I love to go to all of them but none really... strikes me as the one. So i have to go by another criteria. And chose Eversong Woods. Here, in the northeast and a non really all that special but nevertheless beautiful beach i spend my girlfriends first birthday after we started playing WoW with her when we couldnt be together otherwise. And these memories make it special.
