Nagrand for me.I love those floating islands.Perfect for a spot of me-time.Just fly up there, sit on the ledge and enjoy the view while thinking about nothing in particular.Funny how you can see some skeletons lying there against a tree.Guess they lost track of time ...
My favorite zone by far is the Isle of Quel'danas, the daily quests were quite fun and the server progression was actually quite well done for the time. I loved how well the zone was put together and the fact that it allowed people that wern't in a diehard hardcore raiding guild to experience some of the storyline behind the return of Kil'Jaden

The original Hillsbrad foothills because of the amazing world pvp i got to experience there years ago, a shifting tide of realm based pvp before resilience and arenas.
I really got a kick out of Blackrock Depths. It was huge, with a ton of quests and racial flavor. I remember having to run it in 10-man or you couldn't finish it.As for world areas, I'd have to go with Eastern Plaguelands when Naxxramas was flying about it. *Awesome*, so much rampant terror!
My favorite zone will always be the old Azshara. After a long stressful day I would log on and go there and just hang out for hour or so alone, no cities, hardly any other people there, just me. My guild knew that I was offlimits if I were there lol. It was so peaceful there.......
Storm Peaks. Aside from the breath-taking beauty of some of the areas (take a little fly around the Terrace of the Makers and marvel at its Myst-like intricacy), whoever wrote the Sons of Hodir quest line deserves some kind of video game award. The disguises, the bear-back (bear, not "bare") battles, the hilarious innuendo's in the daily quest titles ("Blowing Hodir's Horn" etc.), an epic mountaintop battle between Titans, an ancient battlefield of frozen dwarves and giants, and the single most epic thing in wow: a dragon-back battle in which you hookshot Zelda-style onto the back of a dragon and melee the rider until he falls off. Most amazing thing ever in a mmorpg. Unbelievable.
My favorite zone has to be Icecrown for the simply reason that it is the final zone where the story of Arthas' descent into darkness ends, where all the forces seeking to bring the Lich King to justice gather in order to fight against the ever-growing Scourge and enter Icecrown Citadel itself to defeat the Lich King, it is the TRUE FINAL zone for every single person who has been wanting to see the Scourge come to an end after so many years of battle... A big part of the lore ended on Icecrown, and for many players it meant that the end of World of Warcraft had arrived after the Lich King fell.
Deepholm glitters with cavernous rage, Howling Fjord brings fond memories of exploring chilly vistas, and Dun Morogh is where I first cut my little gnomish teeth......but my heart will always belong to Nagrand. There is nothing in Azeroth (or Draenor!) quite like it. A vibrant, lush grassland, riven by Draenor's near-destruction, resplendent with cascading waterfalls, jutting cliffs, and tranquil, floating islands; but despite a demonic infestation around the edges, it is fundamentally a place of natural wonder, abundant with wildlife and home to powerful elementals who remain ever vigilant in protecting their domain. From Windyreed Village with its insular, noble Lost Ones, to Oshu'gun, the great diamond and domain of the terrible, hungering Durn, and north to the violent and isolated Warmaul Hill, Nagrand is a land of beauty and dangers. It is always a pleasure to find myself in Nagrand, and I regret that I have so few opportunities to visit any more. Even slaying ogres by the hundreds in order to please the broken Kurenai wasn't so bad, because after all... I was in Nagrand.
My favorite zone is the good ol' Stranglethorn Vale; where the orginal ganksters used to play.
My favorite zone has to be Orgrimmar because its located next to some of the most beautiful landscapes in the whole game. Also Orgrimmar is where everything is happening. You can trade there, all the high levels are there, there are auction houses and trainers. And if your the alliance, there are a ton of horde for you to farm honor off of.
My favorite zone is Hellfire Peninsula. I mean, even before you enter it, you realize that this is a step up from the average Azeroth. The name speaks for itself, it projects a great image of what you'll be experiencing. Not to mention that the zone is the basis for the entire Warcraft 3 Outland. The gear you get in Hellfire Peninsula is a great step up from the gear you'd find of the same level in Azeroth, which makes it fun to go back to Azeroth and completely obliterate everything. All in all it was a great experience for me when BC first came out.
My favorite zone is Crystalsong Forest. I know it does not contain very much. But the things in it are awe inspirering. It is a land of magic. It has Dalaran. A floating city for crying out loud! Also the reason why there are crystal creatures is because that when a mage tried to tap into the arcane energy of the land itself he accidently tapped into the residual energy of all the blue dragons, who ever died there. This caused his spell not only to turn his target into a arcane infused crystal creature but also to cover the entire zone. I am a mage at heart and that is why this zone is my favorite.
I've always loved Crystalsong Forest. The trees there made for some stunning screenshots. Absolutely loved it. And, my GF loved me flying her around there on my Sandstone Drake <3
