For me its gotta be westfall. you got pirates, machines gone rampant, pirates, ghosts of pirates, pirates, evil underground pirate lairs, that happen to be the first instance i ever did, newmans landing, which isnt there anymore i think, but was the first cool secret place i found in wow. and also pirates. not to mention millions of fights in sentinal hill with horde during vanilla, and who here remembers the defias casters that used to inhabit moonbrook, that would make leveling there there feel more like metal gear solid than an endless grind, those guys hit hard! with quest chains that really showed the lore and backstory of stormwind to boot. gotta be westfall for me.

I would have to say that my favorite zone is Feralas, I always enjoyed running around the woods
Stranglethorn back in vanilla days due to the high likelihood of random pvp encounters. haven't been there in a while, but it was always fun to sneak up on alliance at the nesingwary camp. the fact that the zone introduced hemet nesingwary to wow is also a big plus.
Un'Goro Crater. Pre and Post Shattering. A dinosaur themed zone that had quests referencing link and Donkey Kong, and new ones involving pelting a t-rex with the armor from a paladins back, all surrounding a singular and majestic volcano. No other zone can hold a candle to Un'goro.
It would have to be Nagrand. For a few reasons. The quests there are very engrossing. the terrain was wonderfully designed, and it encompassed many types of factions.
For me, it would have to be Hellfire Peninsula...when BC was released, and you took those first bold steps...the sight of the ever-expanding, hellish-red wastes was a sight to behold...much less the immense battle being waged right at the foot of the Dark Portal.
My favorite zone is Feralas, I always enjoyed running the woods
Favourite zone, eh? Well, let's see... Uldum? No, no; too sandy. I would imagine that some of the Tol'vir may do their "business" in a potentially giant litter box. Azuremyst Isle? Oh, if only it wasn't an Alliance starter. Ah, here's one I rather fancy! Completely serene with a vivid skyscape and ideal environ, I would have to say that Nagrand is my favourite zone. The green plains, the majestic mountains, the onlooking Cosmos, and yes. Even the smelly, blubbering ogres. Outland was always a treat to visit, and while I do like Netherstorm (all that purple!), I would have to bite my tongue and say that Nagrand takes the pie for me. Who can beat floating islands of land whilst overseeing planets? It was a beautiful place and rather well done. Now, if only Garrosh could be removed...
My favorite Zone is Un'Goro Crater as it makes you feel you are living in the pre-historic age with all these dinos around you
My favorite zone used to be the barrens by a long shot. I haven't had the chance to re-explore all the zones after their cataclysm makeover, but it's still tentatively my favorite. No other zone did such a good job of convincing me of the epicness and vastness of the world than the barrens did the first time I walked down the gold road.
My absolute favorite zone is Vashj'ir. When first went there I was a bit unsure about the whole thing because swimming is really slow, but once I got my "Sea Legs" and Seahorse mount I fell in love with the zone. The colorful scenery and coral is pleasing to the eye. The way your character skips along the bottom of the ocean. The beautiful music that truly sets the underwater mood. Its all so great! And the Shellfish enormous creatures were very puzzling.I was so curious to know what the heck they were.... and when I learned we had to go INSIDE them I was really excited. I have a lot of other zones that are my personal favorites, but traversing the waters of Vashj'ir is my all time favorite of them all.
I just love the eerie feeling Twilight Highlands give me. The quests in there are awesome and really add alot to the feel of the universe.
Mount Hyjal, because I always wanted to go there even in Vanilla (due to its significance in WC3). Reliving the Battle for Mount Hyjal was excellent, but I still wanted to see it in present-times. Now, in Cataclysm, not only were my hopes realized, they were exceeded in every way possible. It's my favorite zone to go back to, even just to relax. The fact that I can sit in Orgrimmar and i'm able to see Nordrassil only adds to the epic quality of Mount Hyjal.CAPTCHA killed my first post. =(*enters in CAPTCHA*"Sorry, invalid entry!""Whoops, my bad!" *re-enters*"Your post is empty!"......You win again, CAPTCHA. I'll have to go with Deadwind Pass. It definitely "lives" up to it's name. It's the only place I've truly found creepy in Azeroth. Aside from the couple of npc's outside of Karazhan, the zone is devoid of any friendly npc's. The crypt subzone outside of Karazhan was too gruesome to even be added to the game. It houses the infamous "Upside-Down Sinners" room, the room is completely underwater filled hooks on long chains with dozens of bodies attached to them.
