I have to say Trisfal Glades. Not really sure why... But I assume it is the feel of the place that I like.
The old version of Hyjal. It was always a secret what could happen there... :)
Elwynn Forest has to be my favorite zone has a feeling of calmness when u lvl up there
i´ll pick blade´s Edge Mountains cuz flying on that red sky watching the planets over ur self it´s just epic
Sweet, maybe I didn't miss this!Anywho, it's too hard for me to state just one place. So here's one per expansion. Cata: Hyjal - I really really loved Hyjal. My girlfriend loved exploring and after a CoT raid she would stick around for a bit, I even joined her at times. Now that she's dead, it's really awesome to fly around the zone and just see parts of areas that we once explored, so she's sorta immortalized. Wrath: Grizzly Hills - Without a doubt this is my favourite. Sure, I really like Sholazar and Storm Peaks, but Grizzly Hills just takes the cake with the ambiance, the music, the general looks, all of it. I remember playing the music of it once over the speakers in a classroom I was setting up for a school event, and my friend stopped helping me and was just listening, and asked where the music was from. When I told her it was from WoW she couldn't believe it (she's.. not a fan). It really changed her perspective on the game. Dalaran comes in a very close second, with Sholazar and Storm Peaks following close behind. BC: A real toss up, but it would have to be Nagrand. Just the wide open fields, the lovely skies, and the grand music. I too enjoy Terrokar and Netherstorm, but one of my best BC memories is walking up that path from Zang up to Nagrand, and just loving how great it looked.Vanilla: A really hard choice, here. But it would have to be the Undercity/Tirisfal Glades. My first toon was an Undead Mage. I just loved first loading in, killing the scourge, exploring the areas around, running up to Brill, seeing Alliance attacking from the rooftops, and trying to escape to the Undercity, and just getting lost in it. I loved it and still do.There are other zones I love as well, but these just stick out. Though there are VERY close seconds.
There's something very soothing about Winterspring for me. Even after several years I keep coming back to it for different reasons.
I'll go for the nostalgia factor and pick classic Thousand Needles, which I wandered into by accident one night as a level fifteen or so. It was spooky! There were level skull jaguars!
It would have to be Hellfire Peninsula. Come on, who here could ever forget walking through the Dark Portal for the first time and just thinking; "WoW..." It introduced us to the first expansion pack. No more raids, I have to trade in my Epic gear for some green trash mob gear xD. That is my favourite zone, not only because it intoduced every change, but just jumping off the edge of the world was awesome, and flying mounts... And just the look of it, so much can be told just by looking at the great looming menace that was, and still is, hellfire citadel. This signified that Blizzard would always give their players the coolest zones to get used to the new expansion, I'm lookinf straight at Mt. Hyjal and Vaj'shir. Nothing like the zone that introduced us to change.
Im an explorer at heart so I just have to go with Tanaris before Cataclysm. As you explore this zone you notice ruins scattered all around the place, but no sign of any civilization (except for some goblins in gadgetzan). There was a huge gate with a a crack in it. Through the crack you could glimpse an unaccessible dungeon entrance which made me curious beyond belief. If you traveled far south, beyond the mountains, you found a nice beach where a pirate treasure was hidden.
Easily has to be Stranglethorn Vale.It has a bigger impact to me since I was on a PvP server, but it's where the most fun happened in terms of world PvP back in Vanilla WoW. Who doesn't remember the myriad of ganks that occured there?
My favorite place is Thousand needles after shattering because i like the watery places and i like the grimtotem invaders in the mountains too.
I really enjoy Elwynn Forest, and Durota (Durotar before the Shattering tho)One reason because they are some sort of a big part of wow, and I just really like em, and also because of the music. It's just beautiful :-)
My favorite zone is Grizzly Hills, Nothrend. The music is very nice in the background and i have always loved questing there, for it is so beautiful. With the waterfalls and rivers and all the creatures just fitting into the zone just right to make it realistic, it is my favorite zone to be in.
I would have to say my favorite zone is deepholm, I really enjoyed the lore, and the look of the place is a big boost to my opinion as well.
I also like the jousting area in Hyjal is pretty darn cool.
