My favorite zone is, without a doubt, Hyjal. Being my first Cataclysm questing area I was amazed by the quests. Back in Classic and BC, you were just a random adventurer who is given mundane tasks like collecting poop (Nagrand...), or killing off a random group of mobs just to get something done. It didn't feel fun, there was barely any story involved, and it was really just picking up every quest you can find, reading the objectives, ignoring the content, and getting the damn thing done with. In WotLK they did a better job with that as you got closer to Icecrown, with the quest chain to destroy the Lich King's heart being the most important, yet other than that zone, it was still a lot of the previous unimportant tasks. In cataclysm, however, we are given a new role as an adventurer who will actually be remembered. In Hyjal, we are the adventurers who crippled Ragnaros, (whom was a huge surprise when I saw him rise up by Deathwing on my first day of Cata) and ultimately defeated him in patch 4.2. But it isn't like other expansions where the bad guy is just there, maybe a pre quest or two then you go and kill him. You have to actually go through a long chain to stop the impending invasion and destruction of the World Tree. Rounding up the demi-gods, siding with Malfurion, and the fun quest where he saw Fandral's sorry face in prison, all leading up to the epic battle of a demi god, two of the most powerful druids, and you, crippling the Elemental Lord of Fire. Another brilliant touch was the jousting. Sure, every zone has its "fun"quest so to speak, for example bombing runs in the dk starting area in Eastern Plaguelands, or the puzzles in Badlands, but this one had a a special quality with the physics of it. Rather than just flying around you actually had to impulse yourself, losing momentum, aiming correctly, etc. That quest was actually fun rather than most quests in the average zone.To sum it up, Hyjal is the epic zone it is because you go from the average adventurer to a hero, who rounds up demigods, jousts on the back of a hypogriph, infiltrates and sabotages the Twilight Hammer, then fights alongside Cenarion himself in an epic battle against Raggy, one of the most infamous characters in all of Wow.

Mine would be Vashj'ir. Most of my mates say that they hated that place but the fact that the whole level was under water made the whole experience quite thrilling. The questlines were really amazing I really enjoyed going through the zone feeling that I was spearheading the advance of the Horde in an unknown environment. Oh, and also: "Thrall's balls!"
i would have to say storm peaks, for offering not just easy dailies but also a rather difficult one from hodir's spear, and the quest chain leading up to it all starting in K3 and going through Brunnhildar Village. and lets not forget the rare spawns Dirkee, Skoll, and The Time-Lost Proto DrakeDirkeeSkollTime-Lost Proto-Drake
Ferelas, still, even after all these years. It has a great atmosphere, and still has an opressive and brooding feeling.
Definitely Shadowmoon Valley, the look and feel of the zone, the epic feel of the quest lines. If it wasn't for the fact when I level an alt by the time I leave Zangramarsh I'm level 68, I would quest through SMV on every toon I play while leveling.
I'm not entirely sure why, but I've always had a soft spot for the Arathi Highlands. Maybe it's because it was featured in South Park, or maybe just because I just loved the scenery throughout the zone. I think they did a very good job at streamlinin the quests even before the shattering, unlike many zones. I never miss Arathi Highlands when leveling an Alt, because I just love the ideas of the quests there!
I would say that my favorite zone is Quel'Danas. I and a huge fan of Blood Elf architecture, and Quel'Danas just shows it off very well. Not only that, but I also love the story with the Sunwell, Magister's Terrace, and Quel'Dalar. Even more so, the music is just beautiful when I listen to it.
My favorite zone is Silverpine Forest. The reasoning behind it is the in depth and rich story about the plight of the forsaken and Lady Sylvanas.
Azshara because of the Rocketway. I must have taken the Joy Ride at least 10 times, farming mats for Engineering. The rocket did something different every time!
Well ... my favorite zone is ...I really dont know :/ ... I like them all :)However if I have to chose one its Stranglethorn Vale :) Jus' becuz of da brodaz and sistaz!Trolls are just epic!
Dun Morogh is my favorite for a few reasons. First of all this zone is home for two best wow races EVAR - gnomes and dwarves. Second - it reminds me of Mother Russia, lots of snow and trees. JK :D Also it has one of the best zone soundtracks in the game. And yetis.
ive always loved Zangermash for its wide varity of quests and lovely decorations all arround the place.. and ofcourse those huge mushrooms :3
it's hard to decide, between Kara or shadowmoon. Kara cause it was just so epic for it's old gothic movie feel combined with the music. But I love Shadowmoon Valley. Probably steming from my being a warlock and how i love the demons and what not. But the whole demonic atmosphere of the zone is just plan awsome.
