I love the looks and feel of Feralas the most. All the plants and extremely tall trees everywhere, it makes you feel very small. And the streams and lakes running through it are a nice touch. It feels especially immersive when its raining.Though it doesn't have much to do with the zone itself, I have the best memories of leveling in Dragonblight at the start of Wrath with one of my closest friends. I don't remember the name of the quest, but its part of the Kalu'ak questline where you have to jump off a cliff into the water towards an NPC that shares the model with The Lurker Below. Well there was a lot of people trying to do the same quest, and only one person could do it at a time. The NPC yelled his character's name out and he began laughing and gloating in vent that he got it over all the other people that were also trying, so much that he didn't pay attention at all to what the NPC was telling him to do, and he failed the quest! We weren't as lucky to get it over other people the next times around, and we ended up being the last people to get the quest done. But it was hilarious, and so like him to do something like that. :)
I am partial to Tol Barad. There are some decent rewards and an abundance of dailies to help increase my pile of gold. Most of all Tol Barad offers me a location to get into it with he opposite faction. On Tol Barad World PvP lives.
My favourite zone is Winterspring, because the scenery is so beautiful and peaceful.I wish I had a dog sled, hope they add that mount soon.
My personal favorite zone would have to be Gilneas during the Worgen starting zone. Its architecturally different than any human capital currently in the game, and it was the first zone I ever got to run around and explore, being it was my first real character. If only character housing was a part of this particular game, I would totally have a Gilnean house.
i absolutely Fell in love with Howling Fjord the moment i stepped in it at the expansion launch, the highland music to vrykul architecture was completely marvelous
My favorite zone is Deadwind Pass. It's all misty, strange and and lonely; riding thru it always made me kinda sad... I love the soft dove calls you can hear in the zone ambiance. I always wondered what happened there and why everything was just so... dead. And then there was Karazan to answer some questions, and pose yet more...
Favorite zone would have to be Vashj'ir, obviously because it's underwater ;)
I loved Winterspring before the shatter, it had it all really. Animals, fulborgs, ghosts, owlkins, yetis, dragons. Aswell something i made up in my mind was that the Frostgiants in the south was keeping the demons in their spawn! The zone was designed in a nice way, and allways makes me think about xmess :)
My favourite zone is Southern Barrens, on the Alliance side you feel like your helping the cause, and it wraps up with a sad ending that makes it feel real.
My favorite zone is Hyjal. I'm a big fan of night elf lore, especially everything concerning druids and the zone surrounding the World Tree Nordrassil and involving the Ancients is like a dream come true. The quests about the return of Ragnaros were like the cherry on top of everything.
WoW is about magic and the feel of magic. The magical dissonance of Deepholm takes my breath away. It's almost unthinkable that the designers managed to create a feeling of endless space with weight-less flying rocks that is also suffocatingly claustrophobic at the same time.In one word - magical.
