My favourite zone has to be Deepholme. Blizzard did an amazing job on the structure/texture of the zone as well as the shape and feel of the zone. The entire zone is brilliant and beautiful, I could fly around it fro hours just taking in the scenery. More specifically Therazane's throne is just so colourful and full of life...err....rock. But still the colours of the rocks and everything is just gorgeous.
Zangarmarsh; with its canopy of colossal fungi, its luminous Striders, a tiny sporebat behind you, and the trail of water underneath your feet.
By far my favorite zone is Zangarmarsh. It feels so mysterious and magical, and I love that its always raining. It's one of the most original and exotic places I've seen in a 3D game. :)

Dun Morogh (Pre-Cataclysm)! My first ever character, a Dwarf Hunter, started off here about 4 years ago. Thinking about this zone and replaying it brings back so much nostalgia, from killing snow leopards to Wendigos. The music for the zone is amazing and creates the perfect atmosphere and running up to the Gates of Ironforge for the first time was something special!
My favorite would be Shadowmoon Valley, its huge, dark, green and your neighbour is Illidan Stormrage:D
My favorite zone is Borean Tundra. I remember staying up all night after hitting 68 for the first time on my Paladin and just being so excited at how much better the gear was. I quested my little heart out until my eyes couldn't take it anymore. :D
My favorite zone is Uldum. Harrison Jones; that is all.
My favourite zone in World of Warcraft was Stranglethorn Vale, before Cataclysm. It's the area I remember questing in the most on my first proper toon, the music is amazing and I was a big fan of the Nesingwary quest line in STV.I am also quite fond of Stranglethorn Vale because I was an avid fisher and used to get down there to the fishing competition each week and run around frantically trying to win.I ALSO used to love farming ZG for the mounts (which I never got) but fond memories are still there. Also also also, There are pirates. Pirates are cool.
Hyjal is fantastic, interactive quests and i feel like i could do it again and again, also the story is quite good
My favourite zone is Deepholm. The colours and shapes of the rocks and gems are simply gorgeous, it's like being inside a giant Fabergé egg. The questing is interesting and varied, the tier design is interesting, and frankly I'm happy to go anywhere that I can get some Earthen Ring reputation.
I'd have to go with Mt. Hyjal because the lore, the fun quests, and the sheer amount of obsidium mining nodes. I've had a fun and easy time on the two characters I have gotten to the point that they can enter the cata zones.
My favorite zone is undoubtedly Stranglethorn vale as a whole. the quests there prove that life on Azeroth is not simple, it is complex and constantly evolving and changing. From fast regenerating and insane trolls to terrible tigers stalking you along the path, to enormous Sea Giants with hammers that have heads bigger than you are tall. Gorrillas trapsing along the path with a giant one trapped just off the coast, there an astonishing variety of life in the area. And that's not even mentioning of course the terror that is surely coursing through your character's veins when they are fighting their way through this jungle landscape. All in all it is a fascinating place.
I'd have to say Karazhan (the area itself, not the bosses or anything). It's a giant mansion with a massive library. That is just completely awesome to me.
