Crystalsong Forest. Ignoring Dalaran this zone has quite the charm to it that I found exceptionally relaxing. For one the scenery is just amazing. Crystalline trees that are hanging suspended in mid-air by magic alone with a splintered trunk just speaks for the world we immerse ourselves into. There is a sense of serenity and peace in the zone that is soothing and tranquil. The music helps convey that sense along with peaceful but mystical wonders. There wasn't any major quest-lines, no "mad lewtz," or anything that was offered to really bring in a steady crowd (aside from Dalaran). It was just there to enjoy, and to take in and help bring the sense of being a part of a different world where one can just forget about the stresses and cares of the real world and enjoy the mystery and fantasy of another. It's my favorite oft-overlooked zone of the game by far.
Hi my Fav zone is Twilight Highlands but to be exact it's Vermillion Redoubt because of the all the dragons there and the fact that i'm an ecologist and i love the marvellous purity of this place when I go there I dont want to leave because I have the incredible feeling of warmth I'd describe it as a scene of late summer and the onset of autumn when the tree leaves begin to turn red i recommend all to visit at least once or twice to immerse themselves in this fabulous atmosphere
my favorite zone huh? hmmm its gunna have to be the frozen wasteland! thats right, icecrown, this zone really tells the story behind the argent crusade army and the down fall of the infamous lichking, this is a very interesting and fun place to level and learn about the lore!
Without question my favorite zone is Silverpine Forest. It has the a certain quality that keeps bringing me back with alt after alt to level. The atmosphere, the level progression, even the monster types and variety. It's just about a perfect zone. The only thing not to like is how quickly your toons outlevel its content.
AH! EZ answer! Un'Goro Crater... just because of HIM: Maximillian of Northshire"A DRAGON!" XD
By continent:Kalimdor: Ashenvale, though Feralas, Darkshore and Un'goro Crater are close seconds.EK: The new WPL is really, really nice. Fantastic music, beautiful scenery, and just this awesome feeling of having at least partially fixed something that was very wrong with Azeroth.Outland: Nagrand, by a mile. I dinged 70 on my main in Nagrand (my first time hitting level cap, so it really felt like something) and I spent a lot of time there killing clefthooves for leather. After all, I needed some way to pay for my epic flying mount. And there really is no beating the Outland sky, especially in places like HFP and Nagrand. I think the first thing most of us did after going through the Dark Portal was look up in wonder.Northrend: This is a tough one--I really like Sholazar Basin, for a lot of the reasons I like Un'goro Crater. Grizzly Hills also has fantastic music and some really beautiful scenery. However I'm gonna give the nod to Howling Fjord. The first time I took the boat from Menethil Harbor and passed into the bay...just...wow.Cataclysm: Uldum. I suppose technically Uldum is in Kalimdor, but I'm keeping it as a separate category. :P The questing here was a ton of fun, and I think this was the first time Blizzard made a desert environment that was actually pretty to look at. Mount Hyjal also gets credit for its epic storyline and pretty environments.Overall: Nagrand. Mostly for nostalgia's sake, but also because it's a really beautiful zone that's held up well over the years. It's got this kinda unique flavor to it, like all the Outland zones, while still feeling really calm and natural.
I like Azeroth after the shattering the best, mainly because the new growth and the ground blown up. The other place's are all fine and dandy but the shattering just made everything cooler!
My favorite zone was Nagrand. I remember the first time riding into the zone in BC. Was floored. Just soo pretty.
Stranglethorn Vale - After, it holds that slight realistic poaching feeling in the Nessingway quests, all the way to the War between the BB pirates and the Bloodsail pirates. Always been fun.
My favorite zone is Vashj'ir because of how many people try to avoid it. The silent great abyss. Ahhhhh... peaceful
Post cata Eastern plaguelands is my favorite due to the caravan quest line being pretty fun.
Grizzly Hills for no other reason than the music. It is great. Kharazan is amazing too. Reminds me of Final Fantasy dungeons.
My favorite zone has to Teldrassil. The entire area is very scenic, with the infusion of magic and spiritualism to it it makes a very nice and beautiful start for a character to go through. And having my new main be a Worgen helps, there being trees everywhere. Now if only I could /mark territory i think i would be set.
