Nagrand. So beautiful.

From the first day I set foot on it to this day, Tanaris still holds a dear place on my heart. The blazing sun and the scorching sands, added to the Mad Max feeling of walking through the wastes, gives a sensation that brings me above any other place on the game. It's different every time. I may seem to be exagerating, but I am a deep deep fan of post-apocalyptic scenarios and movies, such as Mad Max 1, 2 and 3 (Movies), the Fallout series and Borderlands (Games), to name a few. Even the alien insectoid structures of the place dig deeper into my likings - it just feels like the goddamn Starship Troopers movie. And still on the diggings, grab a rifle, bring your Worg Pup and you're in a 1922 movie.Do I need to say more?Tl;dr: Tanaris is the zone with most references ever. And it will grab a hold into my heart forever.
I would have to say that the zone that sticks out the most to me would be Stranglethorn Vale (pre CAT). To me, it has always been one of the most engaging zones in the game. I have spent many hours over the years in that one zone. From farming to questing, PVP to just exploring.....too many fond memories during Vanilla WoW to list.
I know someone else mentioned it already, but Nagrand is my favourite zone. The beauty of the greenery and the amount of wildlife makes the place lively. There's also the lore behind the Orcs, I remember reading about it in the novel Rise of the Horde.
My favorite is Shadowmoon Valley. The amount of lore wrapped up in that little place is just amazing.

The snow and tall mountains in Winterspring make me happy :)
Mulgore. It was the first zone I explored in World of Warcraft on my Tauren Shaman during Beta, and I was not disappointed. So beautiful.
Bloodmyst Isle.Sure it's 'just a starting zone' but really, it's not. If you've never rolled a Draenei before stop reading this right now and go. Just do it. A lot of it is standard starting zone fair, but the overarching quest line and final confrontation is just too good. No other starting zone at the time ever made me feel so much like an actual part of the race I had chosen. Sure, other starting zones may send you to go visit your King and get a dutiful nod, but not Bloodmyst. Velen comes to you! And really, you deserve it. I mean, you did just save everyone. Can you say that about Loch Modan? I didn't think so.I mean, sure. Gilneas and the Lost Isles came along all shiny and new, but even then I felt like "just another Worgen/Goblin" at times, and Bloodmyst gets a lot of cred for doing it without all the tech and wizardry. Plus everyone can visit! And Tabard of the Hand. So much awesomeness with nothing else even coming close. Seriously, you let me know next time your faction leader pretty much knights you and hands you an awesome reward all before level 20. I'll wait.I do love the Draenei though, so I'll admit I'm a teensy bit biased. But truly it was an experience, and one that sucked me into the game and never let me go.P.S. My runner up was Western Plaguelands pre-shattering. It was always so nicely themed and practically unavoidable. Who didn't do each and every one of those cauldron quests on each of their alts going "Just a little more 'til Outland, just a little more 'til Outland...". It gets overshadowed by EPL getting a lot more of the "story" but WPL was always just much more concise and memorable for me.
My favourite zone would have to be Ghostlands. I found it to be the most engaging starting zone for horde characters, so I leveled all of my alts there. I can still fondly remember getting a group together to complete the quest for killing the elite undead monstrosities. Another thing I liked was how easy it is to become exalted with Tranquillien - the first exalted faction my current character ever had.
My favorite zone is definitely Ulduar. I started playing the WoW at the end of BC and rerolled a new character shortly after WotLK hit, so I was only able to raid Naxx after I hit 80 and by then, everybody already had enough gear to where Naxx was just a zone full of loot pinata bosses. Then the patch that released Ulduar came out and I remember the whole first night just wiping to bosses over and over again in Ulduar, but it was really enjoyable with no DBM or videos on how to position and strats for bosses. I just think that whole brand new feeling that I had never experienced made that zone stick out so much more than others. When people need another person to do their drake runs on alts or something, I will always volunteer just out of love for the zone.
My favorite zone would have to be Isle of Quel'Danas. Mainly because of the history behind the Isle. Considering the Isle survived up to the Third War and it was not until the Third War did the Scourge and Arthas finally take over. It was a great time for man as we where able to defeat Kil'Jaedon and restore some peace back to the Isle.
Eastern Plaguelands pre-Shattering. It was dark, it was dreary, it was disgusting. It felt like a little slice of hell, just as you'd expect your greatest enemy's foothold on your continent to be.Also, one word: Darrowshire. /cry
Silithus! I loved all the quests in Vanilla and the PvP that happened. It holds my favorite raids and it's just all around awesome. It's not used so much anymore, but I still love it!
