My favorite zone is STV because running around in the jungle hunting animals as a troll rogue just seems natural.

I loved Uldum. Those Indiana Jones themed quests and the Camel mount FTW!
I had to fly around Outland recently to farm herbs and minerals for an alt's professions when I came across Blade's Edge Mountains. Hadn't been there in a long time and was really impressed by the epic scope of the scenery and the attention to detail the design team must have paid to all those cool spikes with bits and pieces of drakes everywhere. Have to say it's my new-old favorite zone in terms of aesthetics!
as a lock my favorite was Shadowmoon Valley... all those nice demons and ambiance made me feel right at home!
howling fjord by far
Duskwood, pre-Cataclysm.I'm sure this is going to be one of the popular ones but it really is an amazing zone. I know in terms of questlines, Duskwood didn't get many changes, however, the Legend of Stalvan questline, one of my all-time favorite questlines, was severely changed. I really enjoyed travelling throughout the known regions for clues on Stalvan in a very detective-like manner. The overall feel of the zone was the original gloom and dread I found later in Ghostlands and Icecrown, but i still think Duskwood did it better, with a small town as a questhub, it really felt like the odds are stacked up against the players, specially with Mor'Ladim and Stitches out and about ;]The Sven Yorgen questline is also one of amazing story structure and depth. Personally, it made me curious to reach max level and not find much about those Dark Riders mentioned, which suddenly made that quest, the zone and the whole world more mysterious than it is, something I will always treasure Duskwood for.You just never know what's gonna happen - the first time through =P
My favoraite as of now would have to be Mount Hyjal. The whole zone as a very other worldly feel.
The crossroads :)It brings back all the good memories of setting up a 40 man raid in vanilla wow and going to kill some horde players ^^
My absolute favorite zone is Karazhan. It is my absolute favorite raid, and I love the music and the overall environment. It just felt magical.
Westfall because even though it is one of the original areas that has always been there, that I've visited many many times the music and atmosphere is still just as relaxing as it was the first time.
My favorite zone has to be the old version of Westfall. The Defias quest line in that area was really the only one I ever got into when I was a lowbie mage. The country farm feel that Westfall gives off also reminds me of where I live in real life.
I'd have to say my favorite zone is Blackrock Mountain. I've been playing since release and this place was THE zone to hang out in. And some of the best dungeons and raids.Blackrock Depths, Blackrock Spire, Molten Core, Blackwing Lair and now with Cataclysm we have Blackrock Caverns and Blackwing Descent. Just so much to do. Great lore, quests, environments and surroundings. We were always logging on to run these places with our friends trying to get awesome blue items and that last piece of dungeon set 1 that never dropped, but we kept doing it because it was fun.I think Blackrock Mountain holds a special meaning to everyone who has been playing World of WarCraft for many years. And who doesn't love dragons?EDIT: Added Blackwing Lair, duh.
Ashenvale will always be special, but I have not visited it since the shattering.
Darkshore is my favorite zone because I've leveled several times through it and many of my first memories of WoW are from that place.
