Hunter Tier 5 was and still is the best with it's 2 piece bonus healing to hunters! Even though it's Cataclysm, that 2pc set bonus is a lot of love to extreme solo hunters!

T2 Paladin.. its just something about that set that make me wanna roll a bloody bubbleboy ;)
I personally like the mage T4, the Aldor set. I'm a role-player and it's what I wear for role-play the most. It's amazing looking, very simple yet glowy-sparkly enough to let you know that "I'm a mage and I mean business". I also think part of the reason I love it so is I worked to get it during Wrath. This may not seem like much of a feat, until you realize that the tokens didn't drop on my first runs through the dungeons they drop from... Thus I had to beg, whine, and cry for people to run with me to get my RP set.The runner up would have to be the Conqueror's Kirin Tor Garb, Mage T8.5. It's amazing looking and MAGES IN PANTS! I want it badly for roleplay (because I did not raid on my mage at the time I would have gotten it as main gear.) But Ulduar 25 is something I doubt I'm going to get any time soon... *sigh*
I like the Dreamwalker Raiment set, which was both elegant and provided a good amount of boost to your healing powers .... while looking darn attractive :-)
T2 Rogue, the name Bloodfang and the look with the dark hood god it was menacing, especially back in the day. Also the set bonus was amazing with dual life steal and the heroism trinket.
I cannot choose between Paladin T2 or Warrior T6.Judgement is awesome, but the Onslaught was very goooood set for warriors, imho, the first one that really fitted a tank: heavy armored, without a single weak spot and matched with the Bulwark of Azzinoth in skin for ultimate awesomeness
My favorite set would probably be the T2 Paladin set. Its one of the only sets I have seen for a paladin that actually looks like something a true paladin would wear. The current paladin set (T12) is fairly awesome as well though.
As a proud mage I have to say that the current T11 - Firelord's Vestments owns any other Tier we've had in-game..That fiery devilish head/helmet is amazing as hell, a push-up to fire meanings even if that's not your favorite spec..Also, the revamped stats and bonuses are kick-ass!
For me, the best one would probably have to be the Vestments of Absolution (aka priest tier 6). And it's not because of how great it looks; Well, not entirely. First of all, it's one of the rare sets that isn't an attempt to make the priest look like a holy and angelic being. Quite the opposite, it has a very 'martyr'ish feel to it, and that's probably why I love it. As well, it isn't overdone - no extreme effects, no flashy wings, except maybe the hood, but I never liked it on anyway. Oh, and let's forget the bonuses. One thing I absolutely loved about the tier 6 sets is that you could not only go for both 4-piece bonuses, but you could get the sockets and stats you want, without losing the set bonus.
I personally like the Rogue T5 because what's better then looking like Skeletor from the New Adventures of He-man
Paladin T2 Judgment Armor wins hands down. The head piece looks epic. Also the daggers on the shoulders make the set much more awesome (if only we could use them ='(...). Also the idea of a Tauren Paladin wearing this makes me laugh. The kilt (it's not a dress!) makes it unique among the other plate wearers.
Paladin Tier 6. You looked totaly like a Warrior of the Light and imho the t6 set was the only paladin set that reflected this aspect the best way.Lightbringer Raiment
Warlock Tier 5 for me has that perfect look of "Why yes, I am an evil demon summoner. Problem?" Pure Chaos.
Although I never got a set for my paladin, I have to go with Judgement Armor (Judgment Armor). Still my favorite armor art style.
