Tier 8 priest set looks awesome. I joined a month ago so ive never raided, but i looked through my classes set and the shoulders on tier 8 make some sort of mini wings look thats just awesome imo.
Best tier? No question about it. Shaman's tier 2 the ten storms. It just shows the primal awesomeness of the class and hey, you can't go wrong with shoulderguards with wolves!
I'm nostalgic and still love the old T2 sets. Walking through Ironforge decked out in Stormrage Raiment gave a pretty good sense of accomplishment. I'm currently piecing together the set on my druid main as he missed out on alot of raiding pre-BC.
Druid Tier 6, Thunderheart, has to be my favorite. It's very iconic Druid, and is a great overall design and blending of different materials in the textures. Nice cloth, leather, wood, and it's one of those few sets that look good on every class that can equip it!
My favorite tier set is the warrior T6. Why? Because it makes you look like a beast and intimidating, like a warrior should be. Lock T5 and priest T6 are pretty up there too.
I think that the best was for warrior Tier 6, because of the epic raids and also although it wasn't anything special(like special effects on it) it was looking great and it was the last set that has all (8) pieces, I'd like to see more 8parts sets.
I've always loved the shaman T5, with its lava-styled looks.
The Rogue Tier 2 set (Bloodfang) has always been a favourite of mine. Unfortunantly never owned it, but at some point I'll have to obtain it to my 'collection' :)
The Warrior T6 Onslaught Armor set (which is the tanking one).I had just logged into WoW for the very first time ever, and was running across the grassy plaines of Mulgore, a young and innocent Tauren boy with his wooden stick and ragged leather pants trying to make his way in the world. Brass as I was, I ran into a group of angry Bristleback Invaders thinking I would be able to fence them off and protect my vilage, but how wrong I was.Just as the angry Bristlebacks were about to send me to the Spirit Healer, my friend, a Protection Warrior for an end-game raiding Guild appeared at the horizon on his savage Black War Raptor and with a few quick slashes, my hairy Tauren butt was saved. When I looked up, I was looking at a huge Tauren, completely covered in thick, heavy metal armor with spikes sticking out of his helmet and shoulders, waving a huge spiked shield and long, thick, glowing sword. To this day that is still one of the things that made the biggest impression on me during my time in WoW.Why does it look so good, other than my personal story above (the armor my friend was wearing was T6 Onslaught Armor if it wasn't clear)?Because it's exactly what I'd depict a big, strong warrior that is protecting his allies to look like. Big, heavy, metal armor to protect him against enemy attacks, spikes on the helmet and shoulders to intimidate the enemy and most importantly, no nonsense. No bright colors, fancy effects, glows, sparkles or anything like that. The set looks like it's made to get the job done, it looks awesome, because it's simple. Less is more!
