I'd have to say that the holy paladin's tier 8 set (Conqueror's Aegis Regalia) is my absolute favorite. The artists who worked on this set of armor deserve all the appreciation they can get. When I wore this set on my paladin, it really looked like something an epic paladin would use. I believe the colors work well with each other, and it's just all around visually pleasing. Some might smirk at having healers kept in dresses, but it's a plus for me.
I love the Tier 2 Paladin set, Judgment Armor. The color scheming is vivid and brilliant, befitting for a Blood Elf. Haha! The helm and shoulders obviously being notably popular for their design. And I just plain love the plate skirts for any of male paladins to sport. ;)
Warlock´s raid sets have always been awesome. Tier 2 had horns! Tier 5 had skulls on spikes! Tier 8´s head looked awesome on undead! Tier 10´s head looked awesome on Gnomes, making them look like... well... GNOMES! Last but not least tier 6 had WINGS! Come on, nothing can top that =)

My favorite tier set would have to be the druid T10. A little biased of an answer simply because I didn't get to experience any tier set pre-wrath. I loved the nature look to it. (and the kitty set bonus was amazing pre-4.0) My favorite single tier piece however was the druid tier 9 helm for horde. Was sad to find the alliance version was different and I had to DE the poor item :P
It has to be the T2 Rogue gear (Bloodfang) on an undead rogue. I thought this was always the sweetest looking set. The sharp red edges and the blood red in color was an amazing design I think.
Bloodfang rogue tier 2, first off it looked amazing and secondly it just has a very nostalgic feel to it now :)
the best tier gear had to be the tier 8. mage set. each talent tree getting its own colour coded gear...awesome idea...u knew an arcane mage just from the purple colour...or blue for frost or red for fire. blizzard should really bring this effect back as it gives us a beautiful way of showing off our talent trees <3tier 8 mage
Terrorblade Battlegear has got to be my favorite set to look at for rogue because of the shoulder animation and the deep purple hue it has, i am still trying to gather the pieces to this day for an rp set to go along with the warglaves that i will soon be grinding for why did they not put animations on more shoulder slot pieces for teir
Easy: Paladin T6 Lightbringer Raiment! The reason for that is, it just shouts "Holy Magic". It's just so 100% Paladin.. Just wearing the gear tells you everything you need to know. There's nothing that backfires about it. In every spec there is Holyness that guides the paladin, and this Set radiates its Holy Power/Magic, Servant of the light ;)
The set I grinded so muchThe set I had while my priest became a Commander and a JusticarLieutenant Commander's Raiment
I'm definitely going to go with the T2 Paladin "Judgement Armor" (Judgment Armor) on this one. It practically screamed "Look at me, I'm a badass Paladin!". No tier of gear since then has matched the awesomeness that is the "Judgement Armor".
I am liking the new Tier 12 sets. They seem to have more versatile set buffs and ability's than the ones before. My main being a Shadow Priest I got all sorts of warm fuzzy s learning a 75 secs reduction in my Shadow fiend cooldown. Squeach.
