Hm, if the DoT is stacking, there is gonna be some massive fire bleedage after a bear uses Berserk lol. Depending on what the cap will be though
No matter how the math is done it will always be 10% more total damage then not having it on those specific abilities. You will have 2 MASSIVE ticks at the end of a berserk for exactly 10% (5% each) of the Shred+Mangle you do during that time.

Then post zerk you will have done exactly 10% more damage ontop of the mangle+maul damage you did.

Read up slowpoke :P
Also want to take the time and Thank Blizzard for not making my life a living hell like previously planned with their changes. Though PvP boomkins are sad again :(

While these changes look to be pretty sweet so far for Ferals, this patch is still a good ways out am I correct? The Ferocious Bite change almost makes me want to go back Kitty instead of Bear Tanking like I am now lol
As far as Balance goes, it just means that Balance is no longer COMPLETELY mindless pewpew in heroics and whatnot. Haven't fooled around with it too much this expansion in all honesty but it looks to be an interesting change.
As far as Resto's new Mastery goes, I kinda like it. I PvP as resto and I am just starting to do that again since WotLK, and I have noticed that my heals aren't exactly keeping up. Though that could just be attributed to my lack of gear lol.
Solid patch so far for Druids IMO, but of course all of these are subject to change while still in the PTR.

Wow, so...
They took 70% weapon damage off of Swipe. I will still top the meters under berserk. I guess they really think that's okay.
Ferocious Bite goes from costing a possible max of 70 energy to 50, does 15% more damage. Why do we have the glyph, now?
+70% weapon damage on Mangle makes it a lot less annoying to have to hit to keep up 4T11. Just in time to break it for 2T12!
Not sure what good more time on OOC does.
+125% weapon damage on Ravage. Seriously? So, all those bosses on whom I continuously abuse Stampede now get hit for significantly more. Cool.
+70% weapon damage on Shred. I hit this all the time. We all do. It already hits pretty hard. Were we really falling that much on the meters?
All these buffs ... I don't really ever expect to be on the top of the meters all the time, but apparently they think we're doing poorly enough to significantly buff our main abilities? Color me somewhat confused.

The way FB works
now
is a little confusing, I'm wondering if they'll change anything else with it too. Here's a couple notes on what I mean.
If you use it during a clearcast, it still uses 70 energy, but 35 more of it is 'bonus' damage.
If you use it during Berserk, I'm not precisely sure what happens. The bonus damage does not convert at double the benefit, and it doesn't seem to only convert half as much. I also don't know if it just converts 17.5 more energy into damage, while still costing 70. What I
do
know is that using an FB in Berserk with anything more than 17.5 energy is a DPS loss over its 35 energy non-Berserk counterpart.
If you use it during Berserk with a Clearcast, ?
It feels clunky both in Clearcasts and in Berserk. IMO it should just act like a Max-energy FB for free in Clearcast (like other abilities), and it should deliver the same damage at half the cost in Berserk (like other abilities). Also, this change does seem to make the already-hated Glyph of FB even worse (I've been using it for about 2 weeks though, trying to convince myself that the tiny SimCraft DPS increase was for a reason that I could feel... still undecided. I tend to consider FB as a "If there's nothing else to push" button, when with the Glyph, the attitude should be a little different).
I also agree that these buffs seem a little generous. My DPS isn't great, but I routinely break 20k on heroic bosses in iLv350ish gear (with the 15% buff), which definitely isn't bad. But I'm not one to complain. I am a little worried though, now that more pugs have seen how powerful Swipe has become (Someone tells me "you make me want to play my druid" at least once a day after seeing a 60k+ AoE pull), the legendary staff, and all these buffs... We will probably see a huge Feral FotM wave again when 4.2 drops.

Boomkin rotation has never been mindless >.> sure you can mindlessly do some of it but if you think ahead you can plan and easily pull vastly higher numbers then "mindless". The old 4.2 patch notes for us WOULD have made it mindless but they changed it up. Still a lot of potential problems with the latest iteration though.

Symbiosis (Mastery) has been removed and replaced with Harmony. Harmony increases direct healing by an additional 10%, and casting direct healing spells grants an additional 10% bonus to periodic healing for 10 seconds. Each point of mastery increases each bonus by an additional 1.25%. Healing Touch, Nourish, Swiftmend, and the initial heal from Regrowth are considered direct healing spells for the purposes of this Mastery. All other healing from druid spells is considered periodic.
I got to say that goes a long way towards making Resto Druid healing more appealing to me again. The obnoxiousness of trying to manage Symiosis was one of the early things that turned me away.
The new mastery simply requires you to cast HT, Nourish, SM or Regrowth once every 10 seconds (who isn't casting SM on cooldown already? That gets you most of the way there.) to keep a 10% plus bonus to pretty much all your healing.
Question, Is the buff apply to the target or the druid?

I'm not on the PTR, but it sounds to me like casting a direct healing spell grants you a buff that increases your periodic healing for 10s, akin to the way the Shadow Priest shadow orbs mastery works.
It's is a personal buff. Nothing in the wording indicates otherwise.
